SCOTUS Lifts Gun Ban

SCOTUS Lifts Gun Ban

From Fox

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court ruled Thursday that Americans have a constitutional right to keep guns in their homes for self-defense, the justices’ first major pronouncement on gun control in U.S. history.

The court’s 5-4 ruling struck down the District of Columbia’s 32-year-old ban on handguns as incompatible with gun rights under the Second Amendment. The decision went further than even the Bush administration wanted, but probably leaves most federal firearms restrictions intact.

Thank you to the 5 (and ONLY 5) judges on the Supreme Court of the United States of America for over turning an unconstitutional ban on hand guns. After yesterday’s decision on THE RIGHTS OF CHILD RAPISTS, this decision was a surprise.

I really wish I lived in America so I could enjoy some of the various gun rights other states have.

My favorite Archie Bunker routine.

LMAO!

  1. Yeah, I can’t *believe* it was a 5-4 vote!

I know it’s all politics to the liberals — hell, they’d split 5-4 on Freedom of Speech, I’m sure — but Mayor Daly’s reaction was pure liberal genius — ‘I’m sure this ruling will mean an increase in taxes… due to increase police needs and increases in hospitalization costs’ — pure liberalism at its best!

  2. @ProphetJoe: Liberal spin is normal, they will show data that handgun crimes have risen 300% since the SCOTUS reversal…. however it will be a very liberal college that ran the test… LOL MOST free thinking folks look past those “findings” in favor of common sense observations.
