At Qualcom Stadium on November 1st, THOUSANDS of people from across the nation will come together to PRAY for our nation, they will be PRAYING for the state of California to do the right thing on November 4th.The Reason people are traveling from across the nation is:

@Saved American: WELCOME Friend. I will be voting on the 4th, I have to help set up the polls, And I have to get my 100ft string set up so I am not breaking the law. I will be holding a sign saying YES on 8 on the side of the road… Folks will have to drive by me to get to the polling place…100 ft is the law. I will be 102 ft away.
To be honest, I am almost terrified to vote in my area, we have a lot of No on 8 supporters around here, and a HUGE African American community…I am not saying that all African Americans are voting for Mr. Obama but 95% of them are. I went to the store the other day and saw a group of teenagers on the corner opposing Prop 8, almost makes you think they’re teachers are telling them “hey if you go out and rally against this, you’ll get extra credit”….its sickening :sadblinkingeye:
Kristine, THAT IS HAPPENING. In Moreno Valley some teachers asked their students to go out and take down “YES ON 8” signs, they offered extra credit for the most signs brought in.
IF you want I would be happy to escort you to the polls in your area.. Let me know when and I’ll make the trip.
That is just awful…I had a feeling that was happening, poor kids. I really do hope my children’s teachers aren’t putting things in they’re heads. I have asked but they seem to “forget” what was said.
I have my husband coming with me to the polls early in the morning after dropping off the kiddies at school, but I am still a little nervous about it. You never know what someone will do just cause of your views.
@Kristine: WORRY Not. Realize you are going into the lions den and blend. Vote your beliefs and walk with your head held high on your way out. Realize you are surrounded by folks with a moral compass that is stuck in the DOWN position… Let us know how it goes..
Why is Kristine worried about her safety at the polls?? No one is going into the booth with her are they?? No one is going to SEE her choices, are they?? If it’s because of her skin color, OK, I can believe that, but if it’s just because of a vote, well…

@TexasFred: I am worried about it cause of the politics in the area, we have quite a few Obama supporters. I am a white woman and I live in a big community where we are pretty much the minorities. There is kinda a lot of gang activity out here and I am afraid that being white just screams “I am voting for McCain”. But oh well, let someone try to mess with me and mine. 😉

Got it, and sent it out to many people over the country. They don’t have to be there physically.
I expect Prop 8 to win! I have confidence in this state once people really know the truth about what voting NO on Prop 8 entails.
