Gotta LOVE the California socialist system..

$105M Californian school sits empty because of budget cuts

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — A new $105 million Californian high school campus just months away from completion will sit idle next school year because of state budget cuts.

The Alvord Unified School District does not have enough money to turn on the lights or hire staff for the new Hillcrest High School campus in Riverside, 60 miles (97 kilometers) east of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Times reported late Monday.

The school, due to be completed this fall, is not guaranteed to open in 2012-13 either, the newspaper said.

Students that were scheduled to go to Hillcrest High will be sent to nearby La Sierra High School, a campus with 3,400 students.

Riverside has been suffering under an unemployment rate between 12 and 15 percent. Jobs are not here. The housing market has tanked like most of the nation but hit hardest in California. Here’s something that may shock you.. Sacramento has caused this entire situation. Folks have MOVED OUT. Businesses have MOVED OUT. And the exodus is continuing and in a lot of cases hitting warp speed.

So children what causes a population to leave a state? That’s right folks, NO WORK. Why is their no work? OVER REACHING STATE GOVERNMENT, TAXES, TOO MUCH REGULATION… What happens when businesses leave and people leave? NO REVENUE FOR THE STATE… What happens when revenue drop? SCHOOLS DON’T GET MONEY, POLICE, FIRE. SOCIAL SERVICES, DON’T GET MONEY TO SPEND… I hope this econ lesson is helpful.

Now the cries of the schools and teachers are “We need money” BUT these are the same teachers that fought against the ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION PROPOSITION 187, that would have helped them in class sizes, in maintaining a state that offered EMPLOYMENT to AMERICANS. Now we have Mexico North. Teachers who brainwashed their kids about global warming are behind the “Cap and Trade” legislation that is set to go in effect Jan 1. That legislation is already causing the few manufacturing plants left in this state to leave.

So while teachers are whining about needing money realize their support for these and other legislation’s have in large part CAUSED THE MESS WE’RE IN. Thank them for their support…

  1. California’s paying the piper is only just beginning.

The liberals of California have brought this disaster down upon their own heads, and I have zero sympathy for such blind fools.
