If you have ever been to LA, at least several PARTS of LA, the thought of Marines in the street makes sense. LA is home to about a hundred or so different gangs. The biggest menace in the city used to be the Blood and Crip rivalry, however; since the mid nineties it’s been all about 18th Street and MS13. 18th street (Mexicans) has between 10,000 and 20,000 members and MS13 is loosely aligned with the Mexican Mafia which carries a LARGE number of members….

A tough-talking, muscular Los Angeles police sergeant steadily rattled off tips to a young Marine riding shotgun as they raced in a patrol car to a drug bust: Be aware of your surroundings. Watch people’s body language. Build rapport.
Marine Lt. Andrew Abbott, 23, took it all in as he peered out at the graffiti-covered buildings, knowing that the lessons he learned recently in one of the city’s toughest neighborhoods could help him soon in the war against the Taliban in Afghanistan.
“People are the center of gravity and if you do everything you can to protect them, then they’ll protect you,” he said. “That’s something true here and pretty much everywhere.”
Abbott was among 70 Camp Pendleton Marines in a training exercise that aims to adapt the investigative techniques the LAPD has used for decades against violent street gangs to take on the Taliban more as a powerful drug-trafficking mob than an insurgency.
While on the surface this sounds good for the Marines that are headed into the combat zone. Underneath this is sickening. American soil, a MAJOR City being used AS IS to train against the enemy. WTF?
Los Angeles CALIFORNIA is and has been run by the liberal elite, within the city and from Sacramento. The same liberals that live in gated communities with armed guards. Their policies have produced LA and made it a training ground for foreign wars. How’s that for a recruitment ad? “Come to LA the Marines train here to fight the Taliban” I can see businesses and tourists booking their flights and hotel rooms now…
Why are the Marines in LA? They are there to learn how to deal with an ignorant public, a group of people that are victims of everyone else, a group of people that are violent, a group of people that believe the bullshit the “Leaders” of the community tell them. And above all, the Marines are in LA to learn how to deal with DEMOCRATS…The comparison is glaring.
Those of you that think Arizona is “WRONG” on what they are doing need to look real close at LA and California as a whole. AZ is trying not to become California and I for one wish them luck.
