Robert E Lee lived in a era of honor and dignity, he said what he meant and meant what he said. When called to action, he did so without regrets, and with the full force of his being to defend his country against a Government that had forgot about “We the people”….History seems close to repeating itself these days.
RIP Robert E Lee.

I grew up thinking if my mom could have just held out a little longer, Gen. Lee and I would share a birthday.
When I was little, I remember teachers bringing up his birthday every year …kinda like a mini history lesson. Of course those were the times, too, that everyone added Lee as a middle name,
I foresee “Lee” being the next racist word banned :-p
Seriously…it was wonderful having him as a hero back in the day.
