To See America’s future…Look at Spain

Does anyone remember Spain?

In 2004 the Madrid train bombings occurred, shortly there after the Spanish government held elections and the socialist party won. José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero a SOCIALIST won because he was willing to SURRENDER to the terrorists, and install a socialist regime in the country of Spain. That was 4 years ago. Spain had 10 years of solid economic growth to that point. Four years later:

A stuttering Spanish economy and voter apathy pose the main threats to the ruling Socialists’ grip on power in an election on Sunday.

With the latest polls published in Spain on Monday putting the Socialists 4 points ahead of the conservative Popular Party (PP), the government is trying to mobilise its supporters after a high turnout four years ago helped it to a surprise victory.

“We still haven’t got this won,” said Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero at a campaign meeting on Wednesday. “Everything depends on the turnout.”

Support for the Socialists is running at less than 45%, short of the level needed to win a majority in parliament. The new government will almost certainly have to seek support from smaller parties like moderate nationalists from Catalonia or the Basque Country. Zapatero has relied on different groups of allies during his first term in power. Zapatero, who pulled Spanish troops out of Iraq and has legalised gay marriage, urged Spaniards to vote “for confidence and optimism, in favour of progress and the future.”

If you are wondering, Spain has been struggling economically WAY before we started to see it, the collection agencies for delinquent debts have been very busy…

Tax Collections have been a good business under the Socialists in Spain.
MADRID — Stepping out of a black-and-white car, Manuel Llan slips on a top hat, bow tie and a mournful expression. Before knocking on the door, he picks up his briefcase and pauses for effect, making sure the neighbors can read the writing.

El Cobrador del Frac, it says on the side of his case, in large capital letters: “The Debt Collector in Top Hat and Tails.”

The neighbors need no explanation. Mr. Llan is making his latest call on Spain’s legion of delinquent debtors.

“There’s been a huge growth in this business,” Mr. Llan, a former taxi driver, says as he demonstrates the approach he takes on house visits. “People just can’t pay their debts.”

As Spain’s once-thriving economy slides toward recession, debt collectors say they are doing a roaring trade. The country’s creaking legal system is overwhelmed with cases, so many companies say the only way to get people to pay is to shame them in front of the neighbors.

Humiliation is a powerful motivator in a country where people’s honor and public image are paramount concerns. El Cobrador del Frac claims a success rate of more than 60%.

“The idea is to make the delinquency public,” says Juan Carlos Granda, a director at El Cobrador del Frac, which has been in business for two decades. “We have our professional uniform like anyone else,” he adds.

I lost all respect for Spain in 2004, I felt it was a slap in the face to the Americans in their time of need… We are called to help EVERYONE all the time and Spain was the first to jump ship and run rather than stand a fight… I call the ruling party in Spain Pussies and to this day I maintain that assertion.

The point of this post is the crystal ball. WE are faced with similar choices, we will be electing Barack Hussein Obama to be the ruling power, he will share that power with like minded individuals Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. They are extreme socialists, they believe just as Zapatero of Spain does, and after four years of that rule, they are facing a depression, just as we are now.
You might say “So there is NO difference between them Bushwack” I say Oh contraire:
Our economy was fine in 2006, WE as a nation were PISSED at GWB, We were pissed  at the Republican leadership and the illegal immigration push. WE VOTED to CHANGE. We elected Democrats to the majority of both houses…

We waited to see the first 100 day plan, NOTHING happened, we waited to see what the new leadership would do to CHANGE the course.. NOTHING happened.

Here we are in the tenth month of 2008 and our stock markets have CRASHED, our Government has been throwing good money after bad, and there is no bottom in sight. Our Power structure for the last two years has really been the Senate and House. George Bush has been a LAME DUCK since 2006 although he has been catching all the blame in order to make sure Obama gains the white house. You can not fault the Democrats for playing the game, they have done a marvelous job of embarrassing the Republicans.

So the real choice we have is CHANGE, a CHANGE to Socialism, and the same type SOCIALISM that Spain went to in 2004. The only thing Spain did was legalize gay marriage and remove the troops from Iraq since 2004. There is NO positive CHANGE that came from that 2004 election of CHANGE IMO. Spain fled from Iraq thinking they would be spared another attack by Islamic extremists, but in 2006 11 ISLAMIC radicals were arrested for plotting an attack. IF 11 Islamic Radicals were plotting an attack on Spain, that tells me MORE are also plotting and they will get hit again, if they haven’t already.

So what change did Spain get? The have Gay marriage and a recession.

Where are we headed?
Look at Spain.
