Arizona vs California

Arizona vs California

Well, lets look at one particular instance, because the competition is so one sided it’s not a real fight. Arizona is now one of the ELITE American states. Arizona, Texas, Alaska, and perhaps one or two others are all that’s left out of 50.

Ariz. to allow concealed-carry without permits

The governor just signed the law, so it’ll take effect in a few months. Two other states, Alaska and Vermont, already have similar rules. There are two caveats. One, people carrying concealed must tell police if they’re asked. Also, police can temporarily take a concealed weapon from a person, even during traffic stops, the Arizona Republic reports. No gun-safety classes will be required.

And then there is California:

California: Open Carry Ban on the Horizon?

Article by m46607
(15 Hours Ago) in Society / Guns
Months ago we were bombarded by the Brady Campaign’s ruthless attempts to ban the open, lawful carry of firearms in public places such as Starbucks. Determined to remain on the outskirts of the debate, the coffee giant chimed in to issue a statement declaring its acceptance and compliance with State law. In California it is quite legal to openly display a firearm as long as the weapon is unloaded and holstered.

For now.

Democratic assembly-woman Lori Saldana of San Diego has authored a bill which would effectively eliminate the open carry of firearms. A shocking twist in the debate over California gun rights, such measures would ultimately remove the ability of Californians to defend themselves from like threats. As many residents and non-residents are aware California is already a “May-Issue” State with regards to concealed carry licensing and now their only means of lawfully carrying a firearm is under attack. While open carry advocates have urged their legislators to make concealed carry and other laws to put those who are scared by the sight of an openly-toted, unloaded firearm at ease, responses from the Assembly have been more reactionary than pro-gun advocates expected.

“What I’m concerned about is people who have no training can carry a gun for no other purpose than to make a public statement,” said Saldana. Up until the present all political statements issued have been peaceful. With no other alternatives available, gun owners have adopted the only lawful means of protecting themselves when law enforcement is not readily available to intervene during a forcible felony in progress.

Law enforcement disagrees with such personal responsibilities; the California Police Chiefs Association has signed on as a sponsor of the bill. Emeryville Police Chief Ken James issued the following statement: “Officers are taught from day one in the academy that guns are a threat… This open carry places officers in a position between a rock and a hard spot.“
More here

So neighboring states differ by that much? Oh and one of the two states are releasing FELONS because of overcrowding. Can you guess which one? Here’s another tidbit of info, our elected officials here in California are disarming the public, freeing Felons, coddling Illegals, taxing business to extinction, but now the next step is climate-gate, they are close to passing a law that bans chemicals used in the manufacture beverage/food containers. Then it will be banning cold medicine because of the “Meth” issue.

What that says is our liberal demorats have NO PROBLEM at all banning anything, they believe YOU don’t know shit, and YOU can’t control yourself, you must not have temptation, nor anything that can be construed as harmful. BUT they haven’t banned cars yet.

What we have here is a tale of two states, one believes in the American way of life, the other believes Government should control your every move. You decide which state you would rather live in. But keep the faith guys, California sends 53 reps to the house of Reps in order to help the nation “progress”…. 🙄

Utah Signs Firearms Freedom act into LAW!

Utah Signs Firearms Freedom act into LAW!

Here’s a bit of GOOD NEWS!

Utah firearms freedom act signed into law

Sen. Margaret Dayton (R-Orem) introduced SB-11, Utah State-Made Firearms Protection Act on January 25th, 2010.   By February 16th the legislative debates were over and the bill was passed by both houses and sent to Gov. Gary Herbert for his signature.  After 10 days of public debate, with both sides of the issue encouraging action Gov. Herbert signed this fundamental legislation into law.

In a written statement Gov. Herbert explained his reasoning.  “There are times when the state needs to push back against continued encroachment from the federal government. Sending the message that we will stand up for a proper balance between the state and federal government is a good thing.”  Opponents will spend the next several days declaring their stance and criticizing his decision.  At the same time the federal government will realize Utah has joined with Montana and Tennessee as states serious about the need for our federalist republic to be restored.

Our federal government is to be supreme in all matters pursuant to the U.S. Constitution.  The improper precedents and usurpations under the federal judicial rulings surrounding Article 1, Section 8, Clause 3 (known as the Commerce Clause) are not supreme simply due to the fact they are outside the original meaning.  By signing SB-11 Gov. Herbert places Utah in a position of proper authority while pressing the issue of supremacy back into the courts.  As more states join this courageous move governing can begin the necessary restoration that will ultimately lead to the protection of people’s rights and responsibility.
Map of states W/WO FFA

Good for UTAH, Good for the citizens of that state. Look at the map carefully, if you own a business, or thinking of moving, I suggest you look at the states with Blue, or Purple colors. The red indicates the states that are nanny states, they are the ones that see you as being too damn stupid to take care of yourself, and feel only the federal and state government can do it….

Montana, Tenn, and Utah are a step ahead of the rest. Congratulations to the good people of those states.

Crime Dropped? How could that be….

Crime Dropped? How could that be….

Crime rates have dropped, Murder is down 10%….WOW what else do we know? GUN sales were through the roof prior to and since Obama took office…Any coincidence there?…I guess future victims, when they are armed turn into NOT VICTIMS, funny how that works huh?

10 Reasons why Guns should be banned!

10 Reasons why Guns should be banned!

Demorat logic rears it’s head.

1.) Guns are used in self-defense over 2 million times a year. However, this makes the attempted crime a “non-event,” which necessarily complicates the Police investigation. Without civilian ownership of guns, these Police investigations would not have been compromised. Civilians should leave crime prevention to the Police, who are properly equipped to investigate following the crime’s completion.

2.) Some .004 % (4/1000 of 1%) of guns are used in crime each year. This is way too high. All guns should be banned

3.) Guns are unnecessary. In 98% of civilian gun defenses, no shot is fired. If you are not going to fire a shot, you clearly don’t need a gun. This proves that the guns are unnecessary. Banning guns will prevent these unnecessary defenses.

4.) Guns cause criminal migration. In tough gun-law Washington, D. C., violent crime rates are very high. This high crime rate is caused by the migration of criminals from gun havens like Virginia. This migration is caused by the criminal’s cowardly avoidance of armed householders and concealed-carry civilians. This criminal migration is detrimental to helpless unarmed citizens in no-gun areas and must be stopped. Guns should be banned everywhere.

5.) Most gun crimes are committed by inner city gangs and drug dealers. These relatively small and geographically restricted groups consistently commit the majority of gun crimes, which usually peak as turf wars erupt over Drug War changes. The best way to prevent this is by denying guns to all law abiding people everywhere.

6.) No woman needs to protect herself from rape, assault or murder. The Police will protect women by investigating the crime after the fact. Remember, Police paperwork is all the protection anyone really needs.

7.) Guns owners are disrespectful of authority. Good citizens should completely rely on the authorities. A failure to do so is an invariable sign of improper and overly independent attitudes. Failure to completely and absolutely trust and depend on the authorities is excessive democracy and sends a bad message to children.

8.) Guns owners engaging in self-defense are taking the law into their own hands. This is wrong. Only the Police and Criminals have the right to take the law into their own hands. It should be kept out of the hands of citizens.

9.) Children and young people should remain ignorant about guns. Real guns and real gun knowledge dissipate the fantasies created by violent video games and TV. Ignorance, once lost, can never be restored and needs to be protected. Not to mention the lost sales of all the violent movies, TV shows, video games, etc!

10.) Guns reduce people’s reliance on the Police and Government. This fosters a mistaken belief in “rights”. No person has the right to question authority. No person should be less than 100% dependent on authority. This is fundamental to social order. Banning guns will help to establish the Order the authorities want. This is good.

The latest effort in 2nd Amendment DEFENSE!

The latest effort in 2nd Amendment DEFENSE!

Some good ol boys from Texas have put together a forum for REAL Americans, (not those faux intellectuals cowering in the L.B.C).

Texas Fred and friends have built a good communication tool where an exchange of ideas, news, legislation and commentary about the 2nd Amendment can take place. There are areas for humor and weapon knowledge as well as a lounge for all the other stuff, there is also a store for all your TGOA merchandise. You don’t have to be “Texan” to join we are all brothers in the fight to save the 2nd.

TGOA longhorn large

Make no mistake, the Obama Administration is going to oversee the most stringent ANTI-Gun Laws EVER in the U.S.A, there will be ammuntion taxes, laws and bans that will make you think we are in China proper. Call it “Fear mongering” or whatever you want, but Obama, Pelosi and Reid do not scream “Constitutional leadership”.  The 2nd Amendment is written so easy even a dumb ass mechanic like me can understand it, BUT our elected leaders and Morons in robes seem to want to complicate things. The 2nd amendment is my Concealed Weapon Permit. Join the Texas Gun Owners Association.

Ted Nugent: Gun-free zone a crime unto itself
Law-abiding citizens shouldn’t end up defenseless victims

By Ted Nugent, Texas Wildman

Sunday, December 14, 2008

There is no bigger advocate for criminal control than me, so long as we do not go about manufacturing criminals out of otherwise law-abiding people.

Enter New York Giants player Plaxico Burress. He accidentally blew a hole in his leg with his Glock handgun while in a New York City nightclub. His list of crimes against responsible gun handling is too long to share with you here. He’s a Numbnut of the Year award winner.

Ah, but this is even more idiotic: New York City is going to throw the Sullivan Gun Law book at Burress for merely having a handgun.

Only a select few people are given permits to carry a gun in the Big Apple. For this, Burress could get quite a few years at the Cross Bars Hotel.

Criminal thugs, of course, are not deterred from carrying guns by New York City’s draconian gun laws. Mayor Blowhard Bloomberg and other Big Apple elected buffoons who forbid NYC citizens from defending themselves are complicit in turning innocent, law-abiding citizens into defenseless victims.

By review: Gun-free zones, are a murderer’s dream zone.

With the recent Supreme Court decision in District of Columbia v. Heller, Burress’ legal sharks should argue that New York City’s restrictions violate the Second Amendment.

While the media spotlight has been on Burress, a little-reported story is more telling.

St. Louis Alderman Charles Quincy Troupe stated that people should indeed get guns and carry them in order to protect themselves, as cops clearly can’t be everywhere. His point is undeniable.

Our Founding Fathers wrote extensively about a person’s right and obligation to carry a gun for self-defense. To be unarmed and helpless is irresponsible. In the eyes of everyone I know, it is unforgivable. You should really read the rest of this article

In this writing, Ted speaks TRUTH to power; the man makes perfect sense if you boil our rights down to its very core, if you take away all the bureaucratic bullshit, and the “Liberal SHEEP mentality.” IF a terrorist strike occurs in a “GUN FREE ZONE” prepare a lot of body bags. I would bet that a terrorist attack will NEVER occur at a Gun show a hunting ranch, or shooting range. Terrorists are not STUPID, we are, and we have allowed our “Leaders” to restrict our GOD given right to self-preservation. WE voted for these SHEEP to lead us WOLVES into the slaughterhouse. WE as in OUR INNER CITY VOTING PUBLIC. WE as in our UNEDUCATED, or OVER (FAUX) EDUCATED fellow Americans, have elected the lawmakers that have handcuffed US, rather than the “BAD GUYS” THIS MUST CHANGE!

To Quote Ted: “The world watched in horror as terrorists in Mumbai, India, killed almost 200 people and wounded more than 300 others. The unarmed victims were slaughtered like defenseless sheep. It took Indian SWAT teams hours to even begin to respond and more than three days to finally wipe out the killers. I like bad guys wiped out before the carnage.” EXACTLY!

So, what has to happen now? Well first off we need to support any and ALL candidates with a PROVEN record of GUN RIGHTS ADVOCACY, and REMOVE all those that can not see that the 2nd amendment is the ONE Amendment that guarantees all the OTHERS! IF they keep chipping away at that we become SHEEP, and I for one will not be unarmed EVER. I will never allow these assholes in suits to take, restrict, or otherwise dictate my rights as to when MY self-preservation is acceptable to protect.

I’d rather be carried by 6 than judged by 12.

Tax free Guns in SC.. WHY just there?

Tax free Guns in SC.. WHY just there?

South Carolina Special: Tax-Free Guns on Black Friday.

COLUMBIA, S.C. —  TVs and laptops won’t be the only hot items in South Carolina this Black Friday. The state is offering an unusual perk to shoppers: no sales tax on handguns, rifles and shotguns.

The so-called “Second Amendment Weekend” is thanks to a little-debated amendment legislators tacked on this summer to a tax break for energy-efficient appliances.

While the energy-efficiency measure doesn’t go into effect until next year, on Friday and Saturday gun buyers won’t have to pay state and local sales taxes that can total 8 percent. Taxes still apply to ammunition and accessories.

“We are a gun-owning-tradition state, a hunting-tradition state,” said Republican state Rep. Mike Pitts, a retired police officer who introduced the proposal and has promoted other pro-gun legislation.

“Quite often people will buy their pop or grandpop a shotgun or rifle to hunt with for Christmas,” he said in an interview by cell phone while out hunting.

While stores that sell guns are hoping for a boost in business, some opponents called it a gimmick that plays politics by tinkering with the state’s tax code.

Legislators approved the holiday in June over the objection of Republican Gov. Mark Sanford, also an avid hunter and gun supporter. He called it a stunt that only affects the timing of a gun purchase, without effectively promoting gun ownership or demand.

Way to go South Carolina!!! But the question begs to asked; WHY JUST IN SC?

Remove the state and Federal taxes on ALL firearms I say… I can’t wait till my states leadership does something like this, I am sure in just a day or two I will be able to purchase a handgun without taxes, registration, and a 10 day waiting period. Then I’ll be able to carry that handgun on the streets in the open or concealed, so that I may be prepared for any eventuality that might require a “Good guy” to dispense a “Bad guy”… I am positive this will occur in California very soon…. :straightfaced:

Ok now that you all have quit laughing..Ok Now have you quit laughing?… I’ll wait.

The fact is this: IF you are in the USA you should have the right to keep and bear arms under the 2nd. BUT in California you have the right to keep and bear arms as long as they are locked up at all times, unloaded,  and not within reach of the owner while in an automobile…. Real good protection, and/or assistance for those in need. A concealed weapon permit in Cali is non-existent unless L.E. related.

So what we have here in Kalifornia is; guns taxed to the hilt, ammo taxes on top of that and once you pay all those taxes you really can’t use that weapon for anything other than a paper weight in the real world.

While the South Carolina “No tax day” is absolutely AWESOME, it only works in America, out here in The SOCIALIST SHEEPLE ran state of Kalifornia we have to wait for the nanny to allow us to be victims…. Well the law abiding ones anyway.

Criminals For Gun Control

Criminals For Gun Control

A HUGE tip of the ANGELS Ball Cap to TexasFred

Most of you have seen this at Freds, or back in July, I had not. While it is funny, it is also the damn truth. In my state, Kalifornia (at the moment) the gun controls are the toughest in the nation. And WE lead the nation in gun crimes.

We have more innocent people killed by criminals with guns than anywhere else in the nation. We have more violent crimes using guns against businesses than anywhere else in the nation, we have more car jackings, more home invasions and more people in prison than anywhere else in the nation. The Gun control proponents are out of touch. I would much rather see ALL people armed than only Criminals having guns. How about you?
