The most ethical and transparent congress ever is failing miserably. Nancy Pelosi (D-umbass hag) is continuing the arm twisting, underhanded tricks she’s so famous for.

Many people are still trying to figure out what exactly Congress voted to do last week when they passed their fake budget. Kagro and Dave Dayen go back and forth here, here and here.

But one thing is for certain: if procedural experts are still trying untangle what happened, there is no way 215 members of Congress knew what they were voting for at the time they cast their votes.

I got this from a Hill staffer that evening:

The real story on this thing is that Members were whipped on the rule before the leadership gave us specifics about what was in the budget resolution or what the amendments would look like. We were merely told that there was a budget and it would be tied to the rule and there would be some sort of seperate vote on the war funding. We got details about the budget resolution in the last 24 hours. It’s bull___ that they claim members knew what they were getting into when they didn’t know the intimate details of the budget resolution or the rule itself until right before the vote.

I’m putting it up because it reflects what I heard from many offices that evening: Nancy Pelosi threw the rule up for a vote and sneaked it by without telling even her own members what she was asking them to vote for. She demanded they vote with leadership on a procedural motion or risk retribution, twisted arms and threatened people to get the votes she needed, and didn’t tell them she had slipped in language to cover her own ass with the Catfood Commission.
Majority Whip James Clyburn has been meeting with the commission, and afterwards he was openly supporting benefit cuts to Social Security such as raising the retirement age and means testing — curiously, the exact same talking points John Boehner is parroting. It’s downright deceitful of Pelosi to condemn Boehner for saying the same things about cutting benefits that her own Democratic leadership is saying.

Fact is, they passed a faux budget with no constraints on it. And the speaker of the house did it through trickery. I seriously hope this makes it into the republicans campaign strategy. Even die hard liberpukes don’t like the way this particular congress is conducting business.

I’m holding out hope that eventually liberpukes from across the nation will join us in November and vote these morons out.

This Congress is lawless….H Res 1500 passed 215-210, Thursday night, another insane, irresponsible spending measure, with no Republican votes.

Jane Jamisen at Uncoverage.net says they snuck it through while our attention was elsewhere….and nobody in the media but Human Events is talking about it:

In what has become the typical late Friday ”data-dump”, Obama/Democrat shellgame, Congress pulled yet another  fast one on us late last week.  This was also a week before a major holiday, with most of the nation fixated on summer “va-kay,” so the deception was even more likely to be ignored.  We have learned the hard way with this Obama administration that when you LEAST want something important to happen, is when it is most LIKELY to happen.

We were “told” by the president of the United States to “look over here” while he gave an “important” speech on his immigration policy.  Hearings on the most radical Marxist ever nominated to the U.S. Supreme court were wrapping up.  The oil was still spewing helter-skelter in the Gulf, and we discovered even less is being done than we thought.  Gen. Petraeus was getting ready to take over the (faulty) Afghanistan war, sanctions were locking into place on Iran.

In the midst of all that, has anyone noticed that there is NO federal budget for the United States but the House of Representatives is spending lots of money anyway?

The most transparent and ethical congress ever? 1.1 TRILLION dollars that the house can continue to spend by slipping it into another bill and considering it “Deemed and Passed”

Another wonderful part of this “Transparent” action was the vote totals.

The procedural vote passed 215-210 with no Republicans voting in favor and 38 Democrats crossing the aisle to vote against deeming the faux budget resolution passed.

Surprising Olympia Snowe and a few other RINO’s voted against it…38 Democrats are also starting to catch a clue.

Something else worth noting: There were eight “Congress Critters” that didn’t vote? IF they are dead or in the hospital forgive my comment…IDIOTS. Elected to do a job, and don’t stand and be counted? That’s a very OBAMA-Way to do business…

When this “Raid” went down, I thought publicly that there was much more to it than a few morons running around the woods acting like Rambo. The raid didn’t kill anyone, nor did anyone get injured, thank GOD. I believe the Hutaree militia got on the federal radar because of their ACTIONS. Whether their actions warranted such action by the feds is what is questioned now. IF these guys desired, planned and prepared to attack cops, then they should be under the jail. BUT; if they were just (As their web site says) preparing for the second coming and planning on surviving it, rather than instituting it, then the actions by the feds was politically based and it should be very concerning to all Americans.

Now that the trial has started, and FACTS are getting out, we are hearing the case against these idiots is less than stellar.

The ‘Hutaree Militia’ Case Starts To Unravel — On First Amendment Grounds

When the nine members of the Hutaree militia group were arrested in late March near Adrian, Michigan, the MSM ran hard with the story.  Within 48 hours, the template was set: A “right-wing extremist Christian” militia group had been planning to wreak havoc by killing law enforcement officers as a way to engage a wider war against the government.

Soon the MSM had the Hutarees tried, convicted and jailed.

Throughout most of April, the story faded from the news and left behind the public assumption that the Hutarees’ diabolical plot had been thwarted by the FBI in the nick of time.

Then, at an April 27 court hearing concerning the group’s disposition as they awaited trial, the lead FBI agent in the case against the Hutarees was called to testify before U.S. District Judge Victoria A. Roberts. That’s when, according to the Detroit News, the government’s case started showing some serious cracks;

A federal judge had harsh words for prosecutors Tuesday after an FBI agent called to testify in the Hutaree militia case told the court she learned she would take the stand only shortly before the hearing began.

Special Agent Leslie Larsen, the agent in charge of the case in which nine people are accused of plotting to kill police officers and wage war against the U.S. government, did not know the answers to many of the questions she was asked and did not have her notes with her.

“I share the frustration of the defense … with all of the responses that are coming from this witness that she doesn’t know anything,” said U.S. District Judge Victoria A. Roberts.

An FBI agent who led the investigation of nine Michigan militia members charged with trying to launch war against the federal government couldn’t recall many details of the two-year probe yesterday during questioning by defense lawyers.

Even the judge who must decide whether to release the nine until trial was puzzled.

“I share the frustrations of the defense team … that she doesn’t know anything,” U.S. District Judge Victoria Roberts said after agent Leslie Larsen confessed she hadn’t reviewed her notes recently and couldn’t remember specific details of the case.

Glenn Reynolds commented back then that “they got the headlines they wanted after the arrest, anyway.” Indeed. The case to even hold the 9 Hutaree members went downhill from there. On April 29, there was this news, also via Instapundit:

Judge asks feds to show militia did more than talk. “A federal judge challenged prosecutors Wednesday to show that nine members of a Michigan militia accused of plotting war against the government had done more than just talk and should remain locked up. . . . Roberts pressed that point more than once as Assistant U.S. Attorney Ronald Waterstreet argued in favor of keeping the nine in jail. The judge suggested she didn’t hear or read in the transcripts any indication that violence was imminent. ‘Mere presence where a crime may be planned is not a crime. … How does this add up to seditious conspiracy?’ Roberts said.”

So the question must be asked…IF these Militia members truly presented a danger to their community or our nation, why are they being let out? I smell a big rat but I’m waiting until charges are either dropped or the Militia members are found guilty.

I will say this, court cases have a way of ebbing and flowing, this may just be a “win” the battle and lose the war type thing for the Hutaree. I don’t think the feds are stupid enough to prosecute a case that is not fairly solid.

As of right now the Hutaree case is looking less and less like a conspiracy to kill cops and more and more like a conspiracy to show right-wing extremists as the problem. Stay tuned, and watch out Michigan folks the Hutaree are out now…

I had an idea of why I thought it has been such a mess, and it started about the time the first Bush took office. BUT there are some other reasons that this guy lays out that deserve a look. He’s dead nuts on.

The government of our country has become increasingly incompetent, corrupt, and dysfunctional. Although Barack Obama has certainly hastened our government’s slide toward mediocrity, the problems didn’t begin with him, nor are they likely to end on the very happy day when he leaves office.

Moreover, many of the issues that prevent our government from operating at even the sub-optimal quasi-effectiveness of the Feds at their best are very difficult to solve. Still, until you identify the problems, it’s difficult to come up with the solutions. So, let’s talk about some of the reasons why government in this country no longer works for the benefit of the American people.

Basically he lays out seven reasons: Earmarks, Political Polarization, A Far Left Wing Media, The Permanent Campaign, Politics As A Profession  and The 17th Amendment. And the reasons for all of them.

I agree with them, but maybe the order needs to be changed. Personally I believe the media is more complicit in the disaster than earmarks, and I believe the media is partly responsible for the permanent campaigning.

Obama signs another massive spending bill, but says it will be the last time….I got big money on that LIE.

Obama is a turd in a punch bowl, he is nothing more than a token for Peloshag and Hairlip Reid. Until we remove ALL involved in the biggest scam EVER perpetrated on the American people from office WE can expect more of the same. We are being systematically rendered insignificant by our inaction.

To be fair, the REPUBLICRATS in Congress are no better. IF they had an ounce of morals or standards they would have REMOVED their earmarks in principle and then vote NO on the bill, that would have given them the extreme MORAL high ground, but that would be asking too much. The Rublicrats are as responsible as the Demolibturds in this fleecing of our nations youth. It is time for CHANGE, it is time to CHANGE every politician currently holding office.

Some good ol boys from Texas have put together a forum for REAL Americans, (not those faux intellectuals cowering in the L.B.C).

Texas Fred and friends have built a good communication tool where an exchange of ideas, news, legislation and commentary about the 2nd Amendment can take place. Make no mistake, the Obama Administration is going to oversee the most stringent ANTI-Gun Laws EVER in the U.S.A, there will be ammuntion taxes, laws and bans that will make you think we are in China proper. Call it “Fear mongering” or whatever you want, but Obama, Pelosi and Reid do not scream “Constitutional leadership”.  The 2nd Amendment is written so easy even a dumb ass mechanic like me can understand it, BUT our elected leaders and Morons in robes seem to want to complicate things. This is frightening! Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500 employees and has the following statistics:

* 29 have been accused of spousal abuse
* 7 have been arrested for fraud
* 19 have been accused of writing bad checks
* 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
* 3 have done time for assault
* 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
* 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
* 8 have been arrested for shoplifting
* 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
* 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

It’s the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line….

So exactly WHO is in need of CHANGE? Remember when you go to the polls,

Remove ALL incumbents.. Career politicians should be removed Post Haste from Congress, and after this election MAYBE we can get two worthy candidates.
