Tea Party to Protest against the NAACP in South LA.

Well dang it. This is just about as bad as it gets for the anti-tea party race baiters…

Black Tea Partiers to Protest NAACP

The black-led South Central L.A. Tea Party (whose motto is “Power to the People”) is reportedly planning a protest against the NAACP at the organization’s 102nd annual convention in Los Angeles on July 24. The group is headed up by the Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, president of BOND Action (the Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny).

Black Tea Partiers’ specific gripes about the civil rights organization include that it’s been “spreading lies” about racism in the Tea Party movement and promoting “black genocide” through its support of Planned Parenthood.

First off let me give a shout out to those involved in this protest. It takes more guts and courage to do this than most of us will ever know. This is tantamount to A Pro-Jewish protest in Tehran.

Now lets get to the heart of the matter. WHY must the article be labeled “Black Tea Partiers?” can’t it be “Tea Party protest in LA?” It could be if it wasn’t for the label of racism that was placed on the tea party from day one by ignorant race baiters.

I had a discussion with a blogger early on in the tea party movement about exactly this situation. His point was the tea party would never be a viable movement because the tea party didn’t actively target the black community. My point was WHY?

The tea party has it’s entire platform and ideology posted all over the place. Meaning if you want to be a tea party member because you agree with the principles you ARE a member. There is no real structure to the party itself. There are factions that are large and active and there are factions that sit around and complain in unison but do little. And there are individuals that align with tea party but are not affiliated with any chapter or group. So why would a movement target an individual race for membership?

This is a great thing for the tea party movement. However; I don’t care what color the protesters were. It’s the ideology of FREEDOM that’s important.

According to this report there were around 200 Tea Party activists protesting the NAACP.

Read the recap of a reporter that was there. One of the most telling excerpts was this:

The crowd inside the convention hall and the Tea Party attendees were both pleasant and respectful. Yet too many people passing by harassed the Tea Party attendees, with accusations of “racism” tossed most fiercely at the black conservatives.

The leftist anti-Tea Partiers were belligerent. The Tea Partiers stayed calm and reasonable. (Source)

That’s pretty much always the case, yet the tea party in the media are labeled as hate mongers or racist or whatever. Its a typical liberal/progressive/democrat tactic and it’s been going on forever. Lie, deflect and label the opposition so they have to argue from a defensive position. Its not working anymore…

Special Note to SOULSTRAW…This is what FREEDOM looks like. The tea party movement is breaking the chains of DEPENDENT slavery for you since you won’t do it yourself… Sounds familiar don’t it.

  1. I find that to be absolutely astounding.

These people have more guts, at this point in time, than just about any other group in the nation.

What courage for these folks to stand out and speak up!

Amazing, particularly in Fornicalia and the Left Coast.

  2. Yes, it takes a lot of guts to blackmail the Unites States Government with economic terrorism. It took real guts to deny ANY debate of closing billion dollar tax loopholes for corporations.

The Tea Party has just made General Electric and the rest of its corporate benefactors very happy. General Electric made 4.7 billion in 2010 and did not pay a DIME in taxes.

We ask men and women to fight and die for this country, and expect them to pay more taxes than General Electric. THAT’S the patriotism of the Tea Party.

    1. Okay MeDotOrg (Obvious troll) Who is GE? Oh yeah OBAMA’S Boy Jeff Emult CEO do you find that odd? And again with the “Class warfare” B.S I’ll point this out in real small words for you:

When companies hire people what do those people do with their money? They buy things. When they buy things it opens jobs for the manufacture of those things. Whether they are corporate jet builders, furniture builders, maids, gas stations, whatever…. It doesn’t matter WHO is making millions if they are hiring people and making a profit. That profit goes to things the rich buy. The rich buy things that are produced by the middle class and lower class alike. I know that little tid bit is lost your ideological ignorance but I just thought I’d point it out.

The loopholes? Yep close em down. Tax em higher? Yep raise it to 95% I’m all for it. I’m all for the total economic collapse. I’m all for Obama’s policies granted uninhibited cooperation. Why? Because then in 2013 it will be easy for us to reverse course and get the country back to where it is truly the shining city on the hill. We will become saviors in 90% of the eyes of Americans…. And we’ll never again be subjected to this ridiculous version of ruling class socialism…

And BTW, if you decide to come back and debate my stance beware i’m not going to be this nice next time.

  3. First of all, I never said anything about endorsing Obama’s support of G.E. My comments have to do with the Tea Party’s refusal to put ANY tax loopholes on the table during negotiations.

I understand that Corporations produce jobs. That is an incidental, not a primary function. Their primary function is create revenue and a return for their shareholders. According to the most recent filings, GE has cut 34,000 jobs in the U.S. while adding 25,000 jobs overseas. (This is one of the reasons I think it was nuts for Obama to chose Immelt to head up a job creation task force.) So our tax code is rewarding a company that is not creating jobs but destroying them.

G.E. made 50.6 billion dollars form 2007 through 2009, and is sitting on 79 billion dollars in cash. My point was and is that the Tea Party’s refusal to look at tax loopholes that allow GE to pay less than the men and women who fight and die for their country is not good, but bad for this country.

I can think of no rational reason why closing tax loopholes should not be part of the debate about cutting the deficit.

    1. MeDotOrg, You answered your own tirade if you think. Why would a company who sells most of their products in the USA move out of the USA? Because of taxes, regulations, labor costs, energy costs to start with. When the government is so far up the business owners ass they have to have a team of lawyers on staff to decipher so many different regs and laws they move. You assume that all companies move out of the country. Nope take a look at CALI, most of those jobs went to Texas… IF Texas goes the way of CALI due to FED laws, THEN THEY MOVE OUT OF THE COUNTRY.

I think EVERY TEA PARTY Member would be fine with a FLAT TAX system. 10 percent from everyone is shared sacrifice. 60-70 percent from job creators and NOTHING from 50% of the nation is not going to work… those 10% are going to move out of the country which is exactly what you see now.

10% of 2k is what? 10% of 2% of 2 million is what? the rich still pay more…. That should make you happy…

  4. By your logic, in a world economy, in order to be competitive the United States must aim for the lowest common denominator: Lowest pollution standards, lowest taxes, cheapest labor, lowest safety standards, etc., etc. It is a scenario which GUARANTEES that our children will be poorer. Is our only option to lower out standards to compete with the cheapest labor force anywhere in the world? Should our factories look like those in China, where GE ships many of its jobs? A lot of other countries that are not running deficits like ours would disagree.

Investing in a SMARTER work force requires good public schools and universities. Innovation requires R&D. The internet, which makes our dialog possible, is a government invention.

If GE lays off 34,000 Americans, should we apologize and make their tax rate LESS than zero?

US corporations currently pay $0.25 for every $1.00 US individual taxpayers pay. 50 years ago US Corporations paid $1.40 for every $1.00 individuals paid.

    1. No that’s not what I’m saying at all but it’s typical of a liberal/progressive talking point… What I’m saying is if you keep taxing and regulating companies over the “WORLD” standards YOU force an uncompetitive country’s hand. A business owner has the choice to find more profit by moving to desired locations. I’m also saying that by forcing companies to pay more YOU remove the incentive for companies to DONATE/CONTRIBUTE to charities. Why should they when the government is taking their money and doing it?

Look at California. Look where the nation is headed. When Texas is no longer a viable location they will move to china or elsewhere. WHY? Because they are NOT THE ENEMY there. What you don’t see is some companies OPEN factories in other countries to control shipping costs. They do business there so they build there. Just like Toyota, Honda etc build here. However; You should understand that the most competitive factories are NON-UNION. They employ more people at competitive wages rather than few employees with large wages. Blame the rich, the rich are Americans too. Why not blame the poor for not working? Why not blame welfare slugs who are able to work but don’t?
