Hamas Chief Refuses Israeli Conditions for Gaza Cease-Fire

Hamas’ political chief rejected Israeli conditions for a Gaza cease-fire Friday and demanded an immediate opening of the besieged territory’s borders, taking a tough line as he asked a summit of Arab countries to back him by cutting off any ties with Israel .

Despite the hard-line comments by the Syrian-based Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal, Israel and Egyptian mediators were expressing optimism a cease-fire could be reached. Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev said he was hopeful that Israel is “entering the endgame” on its Gaza offensive and that a “sustained and durable” stop to Hamas rocket fire on southern Israel was near.

He said Cabinet ministers could make a decision on a cease-fire as early as this weekend.

Israel wants a total end to Hamas’ rocket launches into Israel and an arms embargo on Gaza’s militant rulers. Hamas has demanded an immediate Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and the opening of blockaded border crossings.

“These are our demands and we don’t accept any political movement that does not accept them,” the movement’s top political leader, Khaled Mashaal, said in a televised address from his headquarters in Damascus, Syria.

A couple of things about this story struck me; ONE was the absolute cowardness of the Hamas leader. (just like the idiot Nasrallah of Hezbullshit)  Khaled Mashaal went to Damascus when the fighting starts, then he talks real brave from the comfort of his hotel room under Syrian security or Iranian guard.  He says shit like “We will make the streets run red with blood” unfortunately its all Palestinian blood.

The other thing that struck me was the end game comment. I would love to see an end game in this mess, but it needs to END with permanent solutions and the only way it happens now is a total removal of Islamic Radicals from the region. IF Israel wants peace they need to destroy their neighbors will to kill them, the way to do that is harsh, mean and nasty and it is needed.

We all thought Israel pulled out of Lebanon way too soon, they left way too many thugs still alive to fight. BUT; did you notice how fast Hezbollah said ” IT wasn’t us” when a few rockets went toward Israel? They don’t want to ride that train again no matter how much blustering they do in the media.

This is the truth.  IF Israel was as “Oppressive” as it has been argued on my blog by the raghead sympathizing idiots then why would Hezbollah not assist? why would Egypt, Syria and Iran not be offering more in the way of support for the “Oppressed Palestinians”? I’ll tell you why; the Palestinians have made their bed and their so-called “Supporters” are not willing to actually FIX the problem they just want to continue the problem.

BTW I think Israel only has about 2 days left to meet their objections, those objections are easily met but since they are trying to do it as PC as possible they need to step it up. Obama takes office in less than 100 hours, and NOBODY knows where he stands on this issue.

U.N. Agency That Runs School Hit in Gaza Employed Hamas and Islamic Jihad Members

The United Nations agency that administers a school in Gaza where dozens of civilians were killed by Israeli mortar fire last week has admitted to employing terrorists to work at its Palestinian schools in the past, has no system in place to keep members of Hamas or Islamic Jihad off its payroll, and provides textbooks to children that contain hate speech and other incendiary information.

A growing chorus of critics has taken aim at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in recent years, although momentum on Capitol Hill has been slow. But last week’s incident, which Israel maintains was prompted by Hamas operatives firing mortars at Israelis from a location near the school, has prompted some lawmakers to scrutinize the U.N. agency.

Rep. Steve Rothman, D-N.J., introduced a resolution in the fall calling for greater transparency and accountability at UNRWA. The bill called on the agency to make its textbooks available on the Internet for public inspection and to implement “terrorist name recognition software and other screening procedures that would help to ensure that UNRWA staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries are neither terrorists themselves, nor affiliated with known terrorist organizations.”

Rothman said he plans to re-introduce his UNRWA resolution in the coming weeks because, “as timely as this bill was before, it is even more timely now. It is urgent that Congress can be assured that U.S. taxpayer money is not being spent to support Hamas and its murderous activities.”

Fierce Gunfights, Airstrikes in Gaza as Israel Readies Next Phase of Offensive

Israeli troops battled Palestinian gunmen on the outskirts of Gaza City Sunday in one of the fiercest ground battles so far as Israel’s military inched toward Gaza’s population centers and residents braced for a possible expansion of the offensive.

The fighting in the Sheikh Ajleen neighborhood erupted before dawn and continued through the morning as Israeli infantrymen and tanks advanced toward Gaza City and its approximately 400,000 residents, Palestinian witnesses said. Hamas and the smaller militant group Islamic Jihad said they ambushed the Israelis, leading to some of the heaviest fighting since Israel sent ground forces into the coastal territory on Jan. 3.

Gunfire subsided in the early afternoon, with the Israelis in control of buildings in Sheikh Ajleen.

On Sunday, Hamas rockets struck two Israeli schools — one in Sderot and another in Ashdod. No injuries were reported in either attack.

The real hero’s are those pictured, the Israeli foot soldier that confronts the Islamic terrorist on his own turf. The Israeli military that is using the firepower it has to destroy Hamas. While not nearly as destructive as I would like them to be, they are acting in the CORRECT manner. They are giving the finger to the UN and the US and recognizing the dangers they face will not be secured by either of them. The UN nor the US will be around to do anything other than pick up the pieces if Israel lets Hamas off the hook. Israel looks to make amends for the cluster fuck in Lebanon, and make sure it doesn’t happen here.

Israeli Troops Enter Urban Zones in Gaza in Major Clashes With Hamas

Israeli troops engaged in major clashes with Hamas gunmen in northern Gaza Monday night, marking Israel’s first incursion into Gaza’s densely populated urban centers as air support and artillery shelling backed up the ground troops.

Israel’s Channel Two reported that at least 100 armed Palestinians were killed in gunbattles with Israeli troops by Monday evening, and Israeli infantry units continued to exchange heavy fire with armed Palestinians as they moved deeper into Gaza, Haaretz reported.

Israel seized control of high-rise buildings and attacked houses, mosques and smuggling tunnels in the 10th day of its assault on Gaza, cutting its main highway in two to stop the flow of supplies to Hamas as civilian casualties continued to mount.

Well, Ehud Olmert said exactly what he was going to do, and remember this is a LAME DUCK President of Israel. Unlike OUR lame Duck, this is a man, This guy whom I have been very critical of because of his mistakes in 06 has appeared to redeem himself. When he said:

Now when I first heard him say it, I thought it was a bluff because he is a LAME DUCK, and I based that assumption on OUR lame duck. OUR Lame duck went LIBERAL on us Israel’s lame duck is MAN and he recognizes the need for self preservation by force if necessary.

UPDATE It appears that Ehud Omert did not make that speech, according to some research done by my friend BZ, the above is a speech he SHOULD make. Either way, right now Ehud Omert is actually taking steps to repair his mistakes as opposed to continuing them. Thanks BZ for the heads up.

It doesn’t much matter too me if he said it, or didn’t say it. Right now he is ordering the extermination of terrorists in Gaza and that I can support. Go ahead Mr Olmert, do your thing- Carry on sir.

Israeli Ground Forces Cross Border Into Gaza Strip

Thousands of Israeli troops backed by columns of tanks and helicopter gunships launched a ground offensive in Gaza on Saturday night, with officials saying they expected a lengthy fight in the densely populated territory after eight days of punishing airstrikes failed to halt militant rocket attacks on Israel.

Israeli defense officials told FOX News that an estimated 30 Hamas militants had been killed in the incursion so far, though precise numbers are hard to pin down.

Israeli leaders said the operation, known as Cast Lead, was meant to quell militant rocket and mortar fire on southern Israel.

The United Nations, meanwhile, scheduled emergency consultations Saturday night on the escalation, but the United States blocked approval of a statement calling for an immediate cease-fire in the Gaza Strip and southern Israel.

“We are not war hungry, but we shall not … allow a situation where our towns, villages and civilians are constantly targeted by Hamas,” Defense Minister Ehud Barak said. “It will not be easy or short, but we are determined.”

Why is Israel fighting? The reason is simple, after WW2 we placed Jews on a small piece of land and hoped savages would learn to accept it. We were wrong. We expected civilized minds to prevail, we were wrong. Arab nations proclaimed they would “Butcher the Jews and throw their bodies in the sea.” That meant every man, woman and child would be slain. They did not say; “We will destroy their armed forces” Nope they said ALL Jews.

What happened next? About 1 million Arabs from various countries got their ass kicked by an Israeli rag-tag army and the Arabs have been crying about it ever since. Lets flash forward to 2006; Hezbollah managed to survive an Israeli onslaught because of a lack of will on the part of a nutless President (Both ours and theirs) and claimed a victory among the rubble and dead bodies. The Arab media declared it a victory for Hezbollah, however few others claimed it a victory for either side.

We are almost three weeks into the I.D.F. operation to defend itself and we hear the same things. “We are living under occupation”  “Israel is starving our children” and several other BULLSHIT excuses.

Pardon me while I get a little logical:
IF Palestinians wanted peace there would be peace. IF Palestinians did not elect a terrorist organization to speak for them, there may be peace. IF Palestinians would not train their children to kill Jews, ALL Jews, there may be peace. IF Palestinians would not take their orders from Iran, there may be peace. There will be no peace as long as Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas are involved. The conflict is far to profitable for Iran Saudi Arabia and Syria to have any peaceful resolution in that part of the world.

My suggestion:
Turn off the cameras, evict all news organizations from the area, and eliminate all coverage of ANYTHING Israeli or Palestinian. Let them sort it out one final time.
Go Israel; you are running out of time.
