Good News, the rise of gas prices stopped today. Meaning it didn’t go up anymore today.

Streak of rising SoCal gas prices finally ends at 27 days

LOS ANGELES – A 27-day streak of increases in the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County ended today with a decrease of two-tenths of a cent, dropping the price to $4.375.

The average price rose 57.2 cents during the streak, reaching its highest amount since July 25, 2008, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

Despite today’s slight decrease, the average price is still 5.2 cents more than one week ago, 56.9 cents higher than a month ago and 49.3 cents greater than a year ago.

The Orange County average price recorded its first daily decrease since Jan. 15 today, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $4.36, 4.6 cents more than one week ago, 56.7 cents higher than a month ago and 49 cents greater than a year ago.

A 27-day streak of increases ended Saturday when the price was unchanged. The Orange County average price rose three-tenths of a cent Sunday.

Basically this is what’s going to happen in the coming months and remember YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!

In june or so, the gas prices will be down to $3.80 a gal or less here. This will give rise too “Look, the gas prices are getting better keep us in office” Obama will use the NEW LOW gas prices as a “Sign” that his policies are making things better…However he never took blame for the gas prices…Funny huh? It’s his fault when gas prices fall, but not when they rise… Selective responsibility is par for the course….

Anyway, I paid 4.35 per gallon last night and I understand 2 things. One: CA’s gas prices are higher than everyone else because of the REGULATIONS imposed on the people who live here. Two: People who still have a job here are NOT supporting CA businesses too much anymore because gas prices are taking their budgeted fun money away. More CA businesses close and move, more jobs leave. Same stuff different day.

Obama seeks to get re-elected.. Oops I mean Drill…

Gas prices have been high for a very long time, the crickets have been chirping in the media because “Duh Won” is their guy. Any time the economy, gas prices or any “Negative” is mentioned in the MSM, it’s challenged with “What about BOOOOsh?”

With Gas Prices Soaring, Obama Looks to Ramp Up U.S. Oil Production

WASHINGTON — Seeking to address mounting criticism over high gas prices, President Obama is directing his administration to ramp up U.S. oil production by extending existing leases in the Gulf of Mexico and off Alaska’s coast and holding more frequent lease sales in a federal petroleum reserve in Alaska.

Obama said Saturday that the measures “make good sense” and will help reduce U.S. consumption of imported oil in the long term. But he acknowledged anew that they won’t help to immediately bring down gasoline prices topping $4 a gallon in many parts of the country.

His announcement followed passage in the Republican-controlled House of three bills — including two this week — that would expand and speed up offshore oil and gas drilling. Republicans say the bills are aimed at easing gasoline costs, but they also acknowledge that won’t be immediate.

The White House had announced its opposition to all three bills, which are unlikely to pass the Democratic-controlled Senate, saying the measures would undercut safety reviews and open environmentally sensitive areas to new drilling.

So Congress’s Dog and Pony show the other day where they grilled Oil Exec’s over oil prices paid off? I mean what says “You fat cats are the problem!” more than doing exactly what they told congress needs to happen? The best line of that entire debacle was:

“I don’t think Americans want shared sacrifice, they want shared prosperity”… TRUTH. We believe in an honest days work for an honest days pay. What we don’t need nor do we want is class warfare based on flawed data, bias or jealousy…

Obama is using his almighty powers to see into the future and he’s seen the light. The light is on the exit door if he doesn’t stop his destructive policies. SO here’s his new plan…

Give the “Little People” what they want (Kind of) until after the election. Then when I have 4 years and can’t be re-elected, I can finish the job of destroying the great satan America.

Saudi slashes oil output, says market oversupplied

Saudi Arabia’s oil minister said on Sunday the kingdom had slashed output by 800,000 barrels per day in March due to oversupply, sending the strongest signal yet that OPEC will not act to quell soaring prices.

Consumers have urged the exporters’ group to pump more crude to put a cap on oil, which surged to more than $127 a barrel this month, its highest level in 2 1/2 years amid unrest in North Africa and the Middle East.

Oil Ministers from Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates echoed Saudi Arabia’s Ali al-Naimi’s concerns about oversupply and said rocketing crude prices were out of the hands of OPEC, which next meets in June.

When gas prices hit 4.00 a gallon it was because GWB/Cheney/Haliberton needed money for war or something…. Gas prices will be 5.00 a gallon by Memorial day if not sooner.

Prices go up in a supply and demand parameter. In everything, supply and demand dictate price if all things are normal. There are three possible reasons for gas prices to be high now in the eyes of OPEC and other oil producers abroad.

1. There is NOT enough oil to meet the demand so a price rise is a way to curtail use and maximize profits.

2. There is PLENTY of oil in the market, the demand is equal to the supply but the profitability margins are not adequate for the risks. Therefore we cut production volume to drive up the price and increase our profits.

3. There is plenty of oil in the market place, profits are higher than ever and the oil producers are extremely pleased with the income they are generating for shareholders. However; Our best customer for our oil is the United States, and they are moving away from our product due to an agenda driven energy policy. The leadership of the United States is urging us to curtail our production to keep fuel prices high, which is good for us as well.

As you can tell by my EMPHASIS on #3, I seriously believe that Obama and his “Greenies” are more behind the rise in energy costs than any uprising in the Middle East, or OPEC.

Think about the agenda Obama subscribes to. Think about who is running the energy department and then ask WHY should our gas prices be high now? Those three options are the only ones that will make sense and out of those I’m betting on #3.
