Robert Byrd (D-Racist) died today…

I’ve been commenting on sites today about the death of Robert Byrd. I’ve been told I have been a little harsh in my comments, for that I’d like to publicly apologize for being a LITTLE harsh. Katie Bar the doors:

Robert Byrd was a racist piece of shit from the time he wore the klan robe til the day GOD voted to set his term limit. Lets take a look at few of Byrd’s accomplishments:
From Kevin Jackson

Byrd is quoted in 2005 as saying of joining the Klan, [pp], “I know now I was wrong…I apologize a thousand times!”

I guess Byrd isn’t counting his filibustering of the 1964 Civil Rights Act that Republicans sponsored, whereby blacks would actually be treated as true citizens of America. No apology for that was ever made.
Further, Byrd overlooks his Party’s stance against the Republican-sponsored anti-lynching laws. Byrd just couldn’t fathom the idea of taking away the Democrats’ favorite sport of “Eeny meeny miny mo, catch a n*gger by the toe?”

Byrd was the only senator to have voted against the nominations of both Thurgood Marshall and Clarence Thomas to the United States Supreme Court, the only two African-Americans to have been nominated to the court.

Byrd also opposed some of George W. Bush‘s judicial and Cabinet nominees who were black, notably Janice Rogers Brown for judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and Condoleezza Rice for Secretary of State

Robert Byrd is being “Immortalized” by the MSM now, but lets take a look at Strom Thurmonds Headlines:

The Guardian – an ex-segregationist… has died at the age of ….

USA Today – His segregationist history continued to affect American politics even as the wheelchair-bound…

WAPO – Once an outspoken and intransigent defender of racial segregation

Knight Ridder – He rose to prominence as a virulent segregationist,…a vigorous fighter for white Southerners’ ultimately unsuccessful struggle to preserve segregation.

CBS – Like many one-time segregationists, he insisted the issue wasn’t race but “federal power vs. state power” — though the state power he wanted to preserve was the power to segregate.

The NY Times
– he said that ”on the question of social intermingling of the races, our people draw the line.” And, he went on, ”all the laws of Washington and all the bayonets of the Army cannot force the Negro into our homes, into our schools, our churches and our places of recreation and amusement.”

Charlotte Observer
– old segregationist

Strom Thurmond was a segregationist. However, although he filibustered the civil rights legislation for 24 hours, he also supported extending the Voting Rights Act, making the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. a federal holiday.[2] He appointed African-American Thomas Moss to his staff in 1971, described as the first appointment by a member of the South Carolinian congressional delegation (also incorrectly reported by many sources as the first senatorial appointment of an African-American, but Mississippi Senator Pat Harrison hired clerk-librarian Jesse Nichols in 1937). Despite the actions, Thurmond never explicitly renounced his earlier views on racial segregation.

He switched party’s in 1964 and that sealed his fate with the liberpuke media. Lets look at the headlines for the latest (D-Racist) to go to the cross burning in the sky:

LA times- Sen. Robert Byrd dies at 92
The West Virginia lawmaker, who took office in 1959, served longer and cast more votes than any other member of Congress in U.S. history.

NY times– Robert Byrd, Respected Voice of the Senate, Dies

Washington Post– Sen. Robert Byrd dead at 92; West Virginia lawmaker was the longest serving member of Congress in history

The comparison I’m making is to show the bias in our state run media. I’m also stating a fact that OUR NATION did not lose a “hero” we gained some damn common sense. Byrd was a “Blue dog” Democrat meaning he voted against the liberpukes of the Democrat party more often than not. For that I’ll give him props. Other than a few votes that he cast, he was the epitome of what’s wrong with our nation now. He sat in a chair and voted for or against anything that kept his ass in that chair. West Virgina is still the POOREST state in the nation, he has not “Bettered” that state and he sure as hell didn’t better our nation.

Fly the flag at half mast for our nation BECAUSE of this asshat and those like them that are so addicted to power that they have forgot about the little people. US. They forgot WHY they are sent there and WHAT they are there for.

GOD decided Byrd’s term limit was up, I only hope he has a few more on deck!
