WikiLEAKED… How do you feel?

WikiLEAKED… How do you feel?

I gotta say I actually think WIKILEAKS is doing a valuable service to this world. I know a lot of my friends will be shocked to hear that. Let me explain…

For the last 60+ years the only information we citizens of the world receive is through media. Over the last 20 years, the media has been decidedly BIASED in its reporting of vital issues. Case and point is the election of Barack Hussein Obama.

In our nation, we have been told what was happening around us by a government and it’s puppets in the media on both sides of the issue. The internet provides opinions on various issues and the information is so vast the truth is buried among the false, the lies, the stretches and the spin. There is NO CENTRAL agency or entity that is watching out for us anymore. During the 30’s and 40’s there were actually unbiased media entities that searched for the truth. They had integrity in their reporting. What we have now is ZERO integrity among the elite media. So we look for ourselves to try and find truth. We fail often.

NOW Wikileaks comes along and shows proof of all kinds of underhanded, backroom lies and cheats. They detail a lot of the stuff we suspected but couldn’t prove beyond a shadow of a doubt. We have been awash in debate over various issues across the globe and because of information overload, deliberate “Disinformation” spin and outright lies, there is no end to it. Wikileaks comes out as hero in my book for shining a light on the cockroaches within our own Government.

That being said Wikileaks also comes out as the villain because they put lives at risk by carelessly dumping names and ongoing operations that can get people killed. Information is power and if use the power in the wrong way, you become no better than those you criticize.

The U.S Government comes across with having egg on it’s face because of these document dumps. For that I can’t fell bad.

If the NY Times can print State Secrets and no charges are brought against them I have a tough time seeing how Wikileaks can be charged with anything. They obtained information and reported it unedited. No worse than any other tabloid or NY times rag in our nation. The only difference is WIKILEAKS has CREDIBILITY. The others don’t and our government has lost all credibility…So instead of trying to get back to transparency with secrets they have decided to shoot the messenger. To me it all sounds pretty sad.

What is also sad is I agree with Ron Paul on this issue. I am starting to Ron Paul as someone that actually is standing on the right side of a lot of issues these days. 😯

Wikileaked, Earmarks and Foreign Policy…

Wikileaked, Earmarks and Foreign Policy…

Been away for a couple of days. Just got back from a very relaxing time in the mountains. The bad part about coming back is you get swamped with good news…

Wikileaked a bunch of stuff MOST truly engaged Americans KNEW. After looking through a bunch of stuff and various opinions on the leaked files, I shrugged. Some in this world actually were surprised.  One of my favorite parts was that of Saudi Arabia’s double talk. It’s an Arab trait. Say one thing in public for your people, but behind close doors tell the truth. Obama the academic got all his “Knowledge” of middle east issues from his professors and when it was put to the test it failed MISERABLY.

From Flopping Aces

It didn’t get nearly as much play as it should have, but Obama’s June 2009 meeting with Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah ended with the monarch flying into a tirade and more or less telling the President to get a grip. This was the Riyadh meeting that Obama took on his way to his insulting and failed Cairo Speech, the better to prepare himself by visiting “the place where Islam began.” The sit-down was such a disaster that Dennis Ross was hurriedly brought into the White House and given a broader role, yielding the impression that the President wanted a Middle East adviser who kind of understood something about the Middle East – and didn’t think he had one.

And the best part was the second theory of why this went so bad:

King Abdullah expected to talk about militarily confronting Iran, and he couldn’t believe it when Obama kept reciting bromides about the earth-shattering importance of the Israeli/Arab conflict and his enthusiasm for solving it. That was a regular public topic between the two – Obama’s first talk with Abdullah focused on Gaza and the President later emphasized his abiding support for Saudi Arabia’s “Israel Has To Commit Suicide” plan – but the King kind of thought he was dealing with a serious person who could separate spectacle from policy. Instead he got the equivalent of an International Relations graduate student enamored with pseudo-sophisticated “insights” he’d gleaned from Arab media outlets. Ergo, meltdown.

You can’t make this up. It kind of shoots all that “Anti-Israel” talking point BS full of holes don’t it? :rotfl:

There are plenty more EXTREMELY damaging excerpts of the WIKILEAKED dump, and now I understand the reason Obama and Holder are so interested in stopping it. See the last dump was a lot of Bush bashing. This one happens to have Obama’s name all over it.

Then we get the EARMARK ban that failed in the senate; The reason I bring this up is I found it very interesting the cast of idiots opposing it.

Eight GOP senators voted to preserve earmark spending, including Thad Cochran (Miss.), Susan Collins (Maine), James Inhofe (Okla.), Dick Lugar (Ind.), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Richard Shelby (Ala.). Retiring Sen. George Voinovich (Ohio) and defeated Sen. Bob Bennett (Utah) also voted against it.

No unexpected slugs on that list. Lisa Murkowski who should have lost in AK but the wonderful idiots of AK decided to write in a liberal transgendered asshat to represent them…Oh well, I live in California so I have no room to talk…

Foreign Policy is a fun topic for me.

China is as reported in the wikileak documents NOT HAPPY with North Korea. So my question is: IF the chicoms are not going to bail out the Norks why is obama being such a wimp dealing with them? IF Obama is scared of north Korea then can we ever look at Obama as a strong leader? There is no monster behind the curtain when dealing with North Korea or Iran. It’s only the “public”information that keeps that “Concern” in the minds of Americans. After seeing these documents that Wikileaked it comes as no surprise that OUR foreign Policy is remarkably transparent when compared to other nations.

I don’t trust Obama, I don’t trust any congress critter that has been in office for the last 5 years. I sure as hell don’t trust China, North Korea, Iran, Saudi Arabia or Venezuela.

Does anyone in the free world feel confident that Obama and Hillary have a clue about foreign policy? We have laurel and hardy running the most powerful nation in the world….Feel better now? 🙄
