A Reminder to the current crop of idiots in DC.

A Reminder to the current crop of idiots in DC.

This is what real leadership looks like:

The Man

These are a few words from a real leader of a great country:

* Man is not free unless government is limited.

* No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth!

* Of the four wars in my lifetime, none came about because the U.S. was too strong.

* One picture is worth 1,000 denials.

* One way to make sure crime doesn’t pay would be to let the government run it.

* Peace is not absence of conflict, it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means.

* Politics is not a bad profession. If you succeed there are many rewards, if you disgrace yourself you can always write a book.

* Protecting the rights of even the least individual among us is basically the only excuse the government has for even existing.

* Some people wonder all their lives if they’ve made a difference. The Marines don’t have that problem.

* The problem is not that people are taxed too little, the problem is that government spends too much.

* The taxpayer – that’s someone who works for the federal government but doesn’t have to take the civil service examination.

* There are no easy answers’ but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right.

* Thomas Jefferson once said, ‘We should never judge a president by his age, only by his works.’ And ever since he told me that, I stopped worrying.

* To sit back hoping that someday, some way, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last – but eat you he will.

* We are never defeated unless we give up on God.

* We have the duty to protect the life of an unborn child.

* We must reject the idea that every time a law’s broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

* Within the covers of the Bible are all the answers for all the problems men face.

* Without God, democracy will not and cannot long endure.

The current candidates that are trying to fill Ronald Reagan’s shoes, do not have what it takes to tie his shoes much less fill them.

While Ronald Reagan did not do everything right, he did WAY more right than wrong and his fingerprints have been on our country until now. I believe Ronald Reagan has been looking down crying about what has become of this nation.

I think George Bush started out a little bit like Ronald Reagan, but since then, he has been more like Gerald Ford or Nixon (Without the scandals) I believe if our leadership follows a few of those statements Reagan made without compromise, WE as Americans will be fine. The last two quotes, and the first three are a good base to build a strong leadership style.

However; During this election cycle the closest I have came to saying “NOW That’s a Leader” is when Sarah Palin stepped up to the podium at the RNC and spoke about REAL CHANGE. I believe Sarah Palin has potential to be a GREAT Leader, and I HOPE she has an opportunity to demonstrate her abilities.

The problem we face now is, WE needed a Ronald Reagan in 2008, WE got a choice between Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. The choice is the problem, the difference between the two are not clear. The difference between Reagan and Carter was HUGE, the difference between Gore and Bush was HUGE… the difference between Barack HUSSEIN Obama and John McCain is minimal.

The only reason I have hope at all for the future of our country is Sarah Palin. You want to see how good Sarah Palin would be for our nation? ALL you have to do is look at the folks attacking her. That speaks volumes to me.
