Anger over Ariz. immigration law drives US rallies
CHICAGO (AP) – Angered by a controversial Arizona immigration law, tens of thousands of protesters – including 50,000 alone in Los Angeles – rallied in cities nationwide demanding President Barack Obama tackle immigration reform immediately.
“I want to thank the governor of Arizona because she’s awakened a sleeping giant,” said labor organizer John Delgado, who attended a rally in New York where authorities estimated 6,500 gathered.
From Los Angeles to Washington D.C., activists, families, students and even politicians marched, practiced civil disobedience and “came out” about their citizenship status in the name of rights for immigrants, including the estimated 12 million living illegally in the U.S.
Police said 50,000 rallied in Los Angeles where singer Gloria Estefan kicked off a massive downtown march. Estefan spoke in Spanish and English, proclaiming the United States is a nation of immigrants.
So this is just wonderful, a bunch of morons take to the streets screaming about how America is unfair, how OUR laws are wrong. I guess they are used to doing that type of protesting coming from Mexico. I’m sure they marched and waved American flags while trying to fix Mexico’s woes…Maybe not.
But they love to shout “We are not criminals”
17 caught in search for Ariz. deputy’s attackers
PHOENIX (AP) — Authorities have captured 17 suspected illegal immigrants in southern Arizona as they continued their manhunt Saturday for smugglers who they say shot and wounded a sheriff’s deputy in a remote desert area 50 miles south of Phoenix.
Three of those captured overnight Friday matched descriptions from the wounded Pinal County deputy and were being questioned Saturday, sheriff’s Lt. Tamatha Villar said. The deputy was released from the hospital, and was recovering at home.
This is the type of stuff that’s going on in AZ, CAL, and Texas everyday. But lets not try and fix it by securing our borders, we must grant these protesting pieces of dog droppings what they want: AMNESTY, and the ability to come across the border at will, oh and all the free medical, education, welfare and while we are at it free all the Mexican criminals in the prisons…
Here’s something to make your blood boil: These are the same folks that were out and about demanding that congress pass ObamaCare, they were the very same ones telling us against it not to worry about the fine print, and that the spirit of the bill was really because it was needed…NOW they are telling AZ their bill is racist because if you read the fine print, it says the cops will ask you for ID…NOW, reading the fine print is the problem…

Well, it seems a major oil slick is headed to the shores of the US. All of the United States resources are being brought out to stop the oil from reaching land. Once the oil reaches land it will take a massive amount of Federal and State aid to get it out off the land.
Why?
Why not just let the oil come in? We need oil and we need oil to help our economy thrive. Some of that oil will work fine and be no problem at all…

But that is exactly the Illegal Immigration proponents argument.
Seems to me it’s better to control the flow of oil BEFORE it gets on land. Once it’s on land it sucks resources and the benefit of cheap watered down oil is not worth the trouble…But it’s just an analogy…

But the 18-year-old high school student from Phoenix said he’s afraid he’ll be arrested anyway if police see him driving around with friends and relatives, some of them illegal immigrants.
“If a cop sees them and they look Mexican, he’s going to stop me,” Berrelleza said. “What if people are U.S. citizens? They’re going to be asking them if they have papers because of the color of their skin.”

Obama to Meet With Key Senators Next Week on Immigration
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama plans to focus attention on immigration next week by meeting at the White House with two senators crafting a bill on the issue.
White House spokesman Nicholas Shapiro said Obama will meet with Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York and Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina on Monday.
The president is “looking forward to hearing more about their efforts toward producing a bipartisan bill,” Shapiro said Friday.
The meeting will be the first Obama has had with Schumer and Graham on the proposal they are developing since they began focusing on it last year.
Immigration has taken a back seat to the economy and health care on Obama’s agenda since he took office just over a year ago. Immigrants and their advocates — promised by then-candidate Obama that he would tackle the issue in his first year as president — have been growing frustrated by the inaction.
Our good RINO Lindsey Graham will undoubtedly sign on to an amnesty immigration bill which will produce outrage in the tea party movement. It will also invoke hurt feelings, bad blood and anger from all different factions of the tea party movement.
This is exactly what I was warning folks about. Don’t get distracted, don’t let them put a divider in the party and diminish the power of the movement. Do you honestly believe Obama wants to push this NOW? Nope, he’s doing it for 2 reasons.
1.The tea party is scarring the Democrats.
2. IF he can push through an amnesty program, he’ll have something to take back to his progressive libturd base on the campaign trail. All he has now is “Saved or created” jobs that is debatable at best.
Obama, Carville, and Clinton’s job now is “Divide the tea party and get health care rammed through, then the Dems retain power in the house/senate.” That’s what they think…
Carville and Clinton are working together to destroy the Tea party, they are pushing the liberal progressive agenda full tilt and they know immigration is a hot button issue, it will do a couple of things as well. Discussing this issue now takes the attention away from health care, it allows Obama and his supporters to say “Look what we accomplished”…. The truth is what they are accomplishing is the total destruction of our country and we need to stop his progressive ass.
