This is actually a pretty serious statement made by the Former VP.

To be fair, former VP Dick Cheney finally points out that the real proximate cause of the Tucson massacre was the insanity of the gunman, but that won’t be the takeaway for gun-control advocates. Cheney joins some critics in at least considering a size limitation on magazines for semi-automatic pistols. Jared Lee Loughner used a larger magazine of 33 rounds in the pistol, which has given rise to a call to impose limits on clips magazines for personal use:

However, Loughner had more magazines on him when arrested — including two standard 15-shot magazines:

Authorities in Tucson say the suspect in Saturday’s shooting had three more pistol magazines with him when he was tackled.

The Pima County sheriff’s office on Friday says an extended clip was found nearby and Jared Loughner had two more 15-round magazines in his pockets, though it doesn’t say if any of those were loaded.

Okay this is a gun grabbers wet dream. The former Republican VP calling for a gun law/restriction and he did it on MSNBC… I can see the tingle running up the legs of all of those idiots.

You would think someone that can mistake his friends face for a bird, would be smarter than to get involved in this discussion. Much less do it on the one channel in the nation that did more harm to him than the Iraq war. 😡

The real issue is your beliefs Mr Cheney and all Anti-Gun advocates. Let me ask a question of the braintrust:

IF you want to limit the magazine to 10 rounds, does that mean you are perfectly fine with only 10 deaths? And will you be limiting each American to only one magazine per household? Do you have any idea how quick a person of modest training can change magazines in a semi-auto pistol?

We all knew after the Tuscon shooting, we gun owners and lovers of our RIGHTS, would be under assault. We knew it was coming from the left. What we didn’t expect was Dick Cheney to carry the lefts water after all the left did to him during his time. Most of us thought very highly of Dick Cheney, and we defended him far more than we did GWB. I’m extremely disappointed in this stab in the back from one of our own.

What we have going on now is media blood lust. They can’t do anything to the shooter so lets jump on the guns. I wonder what would have happened if the guy didn’t have a gun and instead, decided to drive a full sized pickup truck full of cement bags into the crowd on purpose? What if 6 people were killed and 18 were wounded, would we be talking about limiting the sizes of trucks? Because you know a Prius would have only killed 3 people. Would we talk about limiting the amount of cement you can carry in your truck?

The real issue in Tuscon was a man bent on killing innocent people succeeded because NOBODY was there to stop him. The method he used is not the issue.

Had someone (or several people) in that area been taking advantage of their 2nd amendment rights and observing the AZ law allowing concealed carry, the guy wouldn’t have got off more than 2 shots. Then the 10 shot magazine limit wouldn’t be an issue. IF the shooter was killed after killing only one person, would the left be PRAISING the AZ law? Not likely.

Liberal lies and deceit on this latest act of INDIVIDUAL violence.

What have we learned?

1. We learned that any violence against anyone with a D in front of their name is immediately the fault of the tea party, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Michelle Bachman, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Riley, Rush Limbaugh and US.

2. We learned that even after there is undeniable PROOF that the assailant was NOT among the supporters of ANY of the above, the narrative still sticks and there is no apology forthcoming. (See Ft Hood Shooter, Census worker suicide, Florida School board shooter for examples)

3. We learned that when we fight back against the false allegations leveled upon us, we then become hatemongers and we are continuing the rhetoric that started the murderer(s) on his spree in the first place which then makes the next one automatically our fault again.

4. We learned that a funeral/memorial is a great place for the POTUS to continue the lies started by his lapdogs in the media that was found to be false…

5. We learned that our country is so divided, that a civil war could break out if one more act of violence comes our way (Well unless it’s committed by a Muslim, then we must remain calm and not blame anyone)

6. We learned that the time it takes for law makers to go from tragedy to gun control legislation is measured in light speed.

7. We learned that despite Arizona having the BEST damn gun laws in the nation, at the Safeway in Tuscon on Saturday, far too many didn’t take advantage of that fact.

8. We learned that there are SOME pretty good folks on Both side of the aisle when it comes to respecting the dead, blaming the criminal and not making matters worse by using the tragedy as a (false) political talking point.

9. We learned that no matter where you are or who you are you can be killed by a madman.

10. We learned that a Democrat who was by all measure a MODERATE suffered a life changing gun shot wound to the head. And the killer got off over 20 rounds before he was stopped.

11. We learned that no matter what happened to the OTHERS in the shooting, the media cared about the congresswoman far more than they did for the 9yr old, until after the facts killed their “Tea Party” connection.

12. We learned that the minute the gun goes off, the gun grabbers follow. The very same people that have ARMED guards for themselves and family, are ready to tell you YOU don’t need guns.

13. We learned a crisis will never go to waste as long as we have liberal/Progressives in power, and as long as we have NY and CA we will have them in the worst possible position of power.

We learned a lot, but we have learned it before. We have been through this since Obama was elected. Any dissension is HATE SPEECH, any incident of violence is the Tea Party’s fault. We fight the same battles every time, we win the same battles every time, we will do it again at some time.

I pray that there is NO ATTEMPT on any congress critter or POTUS or Potential POTUS. IF there is one thing we on BOTH sides of the aisle know is: The enemy watches our news.

If there were an attack on our leaders again it could very well shatter our republic. And that is something we would not like.

Let me lay this out the way I see it.

An invasion has been happening in America for a long time, it has recently became an armed invasion. Our southern border is wide open and the thugs keep coming in… Our Homeland security Dept. is concerned with the climate change and has activated the coast guard to monitor.

Our Freedoms are being stripped from the air port to the internet. Our politicians are worried about gays in the military.

Our gun rights are being taken by leftists across the nation and our politicians are worried about negotiating with Russia about nukes.

Islamic Terrorists are continuing to try and kill innocent men, women and children in our nation and our attorney general can’t seem to find the words Islamic Terrorists. Instead we call them “Homegrown” or “Domestic” rightwing extremists….

Our economy is teetering on the brink of disaster and our POTUS wants more money so people don’t suffer without jobs, while he makes job creation and success cuss words.

These are just of few of the things that are going on and our elected officials are on top of it! I am so glad we have such competent leaders of what used to be the most free place on earth.

Now the leftist in charge has presided over another “regulation” NET NEUTRALITY?

I ask my liberal friends, if GWB would have been in charge when this came up, how would you have reacted? TSA? Patriot act? HELLLOOO?????

I am dead serious when I ask this question people: WHERE IS THE LINE? At what point do we say enough? When exactly is the time for pitch forks and torches? IF not now, there will soon be regulation that outlaws pitchforks.. THEN WHAT?

The internet: In military terms is a communication capability. NOW the Government is putting it’s hands on it.

Industry: In military terms is a transportation capability. GM Anyone?

Firearms: In military terms is small arms, insurgent offensive capabilities. Register any firearms lately?

While I am not denying that McCain would have been a TERRIBLE choice for POTUS, I do know that the appointments he made to SCOTUS would be better than Sotomayor or Kagen…

Breyer: Founding Fathers Would Have Allowed Restrictions on Guns

If you look at the values and the historical record, you will see that the Founding Fathers never intended guns to go unregulated, Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer contended Sunday.

Appearing on “Fox News Sunday,” Breyer said history stands with the dissenters in the court’s decision to overturn a Washington, D.C., handgun ban in the 2008 case “D.C. v. Heller.”

Breyer wrote the dissent and was joined by Justices John Paul Stevens, David H. Souter and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. He said historians would side with him in the case because they have concluded that Founding Father James Madison was more worried that the Constitution may not be ratified than he was about granting individuals the right to bear arms.

So when the next SCOTUS Appointment comes up and it’s a swing justice do you believe the judges will be pro 2nd amendment? The UN is already trying to remove our rights, Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama and the entire progressive side of the Democrat party want us disarmed. The only thing between those visions and our nation being disarmed is the SCOTUS.

IF we don’t have a conservative POTUS, we are at the mercy of the courts. So in the elections I beg you to consider the long term damage a progressive POTUS does. I beg you to consider the long term actions of short term leaders.

There has not been an uprising in the USA for a very long time, if they succeed in taking our arms, the will of the people will be silenced and we will become sheep. Then it’s too late for “Maybe we shouldn’t have done that”

This justice Breyer is ignorant of the facts. He is a liberal and he uses the constitution when it suits his argument. He discards it when his ideology is counter to it.

With the beautiful Atlantic Ocean whitecapping out my hotel window on Ft. Lauderdale Beach this fine American rock-n-roll summer morning, the only thing more beautiful is my handsome, oh so utilitarian Glock Model 20, 10mm semi auto pistol and twelve loaded high capacity magazines sitting on the little table next to me. I am such a man for all seasons. Can you say cocked, locked and ready to rock, doc?

I’m on my 47th year blitzkrieg rock-n-roll tour across America. I have many guitars, oversized amplifiers and plenty of guns and ammo. The American Boy Scout lives. Prepared is good. Unprepared is for losers. Know it.

By all intellectually honest considerations, my gift of life qualifies as Supreme, and not only worthy of defending, but clearly demanding to be defended by all moral beings.

And speaking of losers, sadly and frighteningly, some weasels made their way onto the so called Supreme Court who apparently do not agree with me. Fortunately, I am a self made man, have a firm grasp of logic, self evident truth and its history, and I wait for no one to authorize my pure instinct to defend myself and loved ones. When in doubt, I whip it out.

And like many real Americans across this great country, while we are relieved and pleased with the McDonald ruling of five Supreme Court Justices, I am absolutely appalled that any clear thinking human being, much less an American sitting on the Supreme Court of the United States, could possibly believe that individual Americans have no right to self defense. That four of the nine Supreme Court justices believe this, is a monumental indictment against the very precepts of the American experiment, the premise of God given individual rights, and a cruel bastardization of our sacred US Constitution and Bill of Rights.

If anyone thinks for one minute that I am waiting for Miss Ginsburg or anyone else to give me the green light to practice the religion of my choice, or to speak my individual mind, or to write what I damn well please in song or on the pages of newspapers, magazines or websites, they have another painful think coming.

Headsup blackrobers, I am in charge of my life, survival, thoughts, statements, writings, religious practices and without a shadow of a doubt, my God given individual right to keep and bear arms to defend myself from evil in any shape or form. And with all due respect, I see and know clear and present evil in tyranny, dictatorships, Emperors, kings, despots, slavedrivers and the history of abuse of power. And I defy it out of hand.

If ever there was an abuse of power, it would be most egregious when people are voted into public office by we the people of America, and those elected people have the audacity to attempt to deny me the right to self defense, then have the unmitigated pomposity to steal more of my hard earned tax dollars to hire their own armed security detail with my money while forcing me into unarmed helplessness. It must stop now. Know it.

With the Mao Tse Tung fan club in the White House, a clueless, rookie president hellbent on spending like a maniac as unprecedented debt piles up all around him, and every other imaginable indicator of an America turned upside down, it comes as no surprise that this insane level of madness has metastasized into the Supreme Court where the Bill of Rights is being trashed by clueless, dangerously insulated old people, intentionally disconnected from the real world where the possession of a firearm so often means life and death for good, innocent Americans everyday of the year.

Whose side are these so called justices on?

To dismiss this self evident truth is to literally side with a failed court system and the evil perpetrators of its insidious engineered recidivism, virtually guaranteeing stacks of dead victims at the hands of released monsters, while the Supreme blackrobers go about their professionally protected little lives.

Tell me these four Supreme Court justices don’t know this. Tell me they qualify to have any variation of the term justice associated with their names in any way, shape or form. Tell me you believe in forced unarmed helplessness of good American families. Tell me you care. Ask me if I do.

We better get crackin America. The SCOTUS indecision on the Second Amendment (and I don’t want to hear about the close call) is further proof that The American Way is being attacked like never before. I hope all Americans are raising hell like I am, letting elected officials know that we are deeply offended at the course America is currently on. Fedzilla in all its ugly forms is beyond out of control. The Mao Tse Tung fan club is moving forward at a breakneck pace to fundamentally disassemble the American Dream. They must be stopped.

This blatant disregard for the most basic human right and instinct to self defense is as bad as it gets. It is time to clean house. Time for real hope and change. I hope we change back to the real America as fast as possible. My life is worth protecting, and my American Dream is worth fighting to get back.

Keep means its mine, you can’t have it. Bear can only mean one thing; I’ve got some on me right here, right now. Shall not be infringed also needs no interpretation, unless you just don’t get it. Get it. And get it right.

If you can’t grasp that logic, then sit back shut up and keep your ass out of any election or public office. The rest of us will act on your behalf.

Last week I received the below email from a lady in Belgium who had just read my book “RKBA:  Defending the Right to Keep and Bear Arms“. She was distraught and discouraged because her beloved country was no longer what it used to be. Here are her words.

“Another nutcase criminal entered a baby/little kid’s daycare center… and he began to stab the kids with a knife! You know what the adults who are supposed to take care of the kids did? One was stabbed himself, but two others ran away. One hid behind a closed door and watched through the window while the kids got slaughtered and another one ran away and left the kids alone with the attacker! Two babies died, several kids badly wounded… The country is in shock, how is this possible? …No one said anything about the cowardly behavior of the two adults who ran away. They told it like it was a normal reaction, a normal thing to do…”

I can sense the outrage in her voice when I read her words. This woman, once a patriotic and proud citizen, was now a mere subject, and ashamed of what her country had become. Thanks to the miracle of gun control and pistol-free zones, two more babies are  dead.

I did some research and learned that in June of 2006, reacting to a racially inspired shooting in Antwerp, a Draconian gun ban went into effect in the country of Belgium. Citizens were required to turn over their firearms to police, without compensation, or, in the case of antiques, were required to render them permanently inoperable.

In the words of my reader in Belgium “The country is in shock, how is this possible?” The answer is simple:  cause and effect. When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. In this pitiful case the man didn’t even have a gun. He was loaded down with knives; he was mentally ill, and he arrived at the crime scene on a bicycle, did his killing, and then rode away – on a bike. Folks this is sad and shameful. Six adults couldn’t stop one crazy man with a knife on a bike.

Apparently, one man with a knife can now control six people without. But then again, it’s easy for us Americans to sit back and make fun of Europe. After all, we are the land of the free, the home of the brave. Right? Well, not so fast. In many states in America, including my home state of Michigan, the outcome would have been the same as in Belgium, because daycare centers are one of the hallowed and sacred pistol-free zones. (Sacred and revered, but only to law-abiding citizens, because criminals pay them no heed.)

For two centuries, us damned Yankees have enfleshed the attitude of freedom and independence. But now, have we changed? Is Obama fiddling as Washington DC burns?  In my opinion, America has lost much of its spunk, much of its spirit, and much of its grit. We have become less heroic and more sheeplike. We are no longer leaders, but followers. In light of the outcome of the last elections, have we become simply Euro-sheep? I am ashamed to admit that many of my fellow Americans have indeed succumbed to oppression and have lost their will to fight. They would rather have peace than freedom.

I received another email just yesterday. It was from a fellow patriot who said:

“I am a fellow gunowner and supporter of the second amendment. I have been chatting with a bunch of fellow gun lovers on the S&W forum about trying to get a million man march on Washington organized. Since I know very little about doing so, I thought I’d write you on behalf of all of us. We would like to get some help organizing such an event. We would like to be able to get the word out to as many gun owners as possible and encourage them to join us.”

That idea struck me as good, so I got involved. First, I emailed Ted Nugent and asked him to headline a “Million Gunowner March” on Washington DC. Here is his response:

“It is time. IF coordinated with NRA, GOA, JFPOFO, MCRGO, SCI, NWTF, RMEF, DU, FNAWS, etc etc & all gunrights orgs, I would be proud to join/lead the fray!!!”

This is how it works folks. Every revolution throughout history has always started with a single person. One ordinary person wakes up, looks around and says “Hey! This isn’t right! Someone should do something!”

And that someone is you and I. We are one small part of the Million Gunowner March. The next thing I did was email Chuck Perricone, Executive Director of Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gunowners and asked if they’d like to be involved. His response was similar to Ted’s:

“The answer is, “YES”…and we’d like to handle the press/recruiting.  We can knock this out of the park.  FANTASTIC idea, Skip.”

Hmmm, I see some possibilities here. I see excitement. I see motivation. I see patriots with guns! I see a peaceful (but loud) march on Washington DC, on the Capitol steps, down Pennsylvania Avenue, with Ted Nugent singing his electrified version of the National Anthem as loud as he can. Maybe I can get Toby Keith too? And I like that song by LC Greenwood “God Bless the USA“. That one just brings chills to my tired, old, gun-totin’ body.

I’ll have to check into that. In the meantime, I logged on and bought the domain name www.milliongunownermarch.com. It is my donation to the cause. Now, since I’m computer clumsy, we need someone to step forward and build the website. Any computer-savvy volunteers out there willing to build a website for us?

You know the frustrating part of a movement, is that too many people wait for someone else to step forward and do what needs doing. It’s known as the crowd mentality. People wait until it looks safe, then they step out and join. A few weeks ago I quoted Mark Twain, and it bears repeating.

“In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, brave and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.”

Well, America, this is the beginning of a change and it is no time for the timid. This is the time for brave men and women to stand up and be counted. Because, I just have a feeling, that America’s time may be running out. I don’t want to live in a nation of Euro-sheep. I want my children to inherit the freedom our forefathers knew. But freedom has to be protected or it will fall. I suspect, my freedom-loving friends, that we are at a crossroads. Now, assuming we are smart enough to see it, and that we are brave enough to take the road less traveled, perhaps, America, just perhaps, there is still time to save our liberty. The time to act is now. We must march now, or forever hold our piece (rendered inoperable by the government).
