California High Court To Hear Prop. 8 Lawsuits

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS) ― California’s highest court has agreed to hear legal challenges to a new ban on gay marriage, but is refusing to allow gay couples to resume marrying until it rules.

The California Supreme Court on Wednesday accepted three lawsuits seeking to overturn Proposition 8. The amendment passed this month with 52 percent of the vote. The court did not elaborate on its decision.

All three cases claim the ban abridges the civil rights of a vulnerable minority group. They argue that voters alone did not have the authority to enact such a significant constitutional change.

Spending for and against Proposition 8 reached $74 million, the most expensive social-issues campaign in U.S. history and the most expensive campaign this year outside the race for the White House. Activists on both sides of the issue saw the measure as critical to building momentum for their causes.

The other day I was on my way home from work and I saw a couple of “FAGGOTS” holding signs in front of Harvest that said “Hypocrites repent” I turned around and was on my way to confront the “opposing view point” when another like minded individual beat me to it, the next thing I saw was a broken sign flying across the road, and a few “faggots” running like little girls to a slumber party. Sometimes a little violence goes a long way in preventing MORE problems later.

We have been inundated with protests and destruction of property for voting to protect marriage. WE the people are about to face yet another challenge to our will. The “Faggot” community is extremely confident that they will win these law suits, and IF that happens I am prepared to MARCH on Sacramento with ANY organization or movement. This is a watershed moment. NOT for the “FAGGOTS”, but for the people of California and the Nation.

WE THE PEOPLE Voted in favor of traditional marriage, WE THE PEOPLE voted to define marriage as ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN. WE THE PEOPLE OF CALIFORNIA VOTED BY 52.7% to 47.3% to honor traditional marriage ONLY, and to NOT recognize same sex marriage. PERIOD…. AGAIN!

We the people did not vote to remove “Same Sex Partnership” rights.You “faggots” still have the same rights as being married, you are just denied the right to use the term “Marriage” to describe your “lifestyle choice” Cry me a river…

HEAR this message judges in the high court of California, if you see fit to over rule the voice of the people there could be REAL problems. These little fairy protests you see in the news are going to pail in comparison to the NEXT protest if YOU decide to legislate from the bench as is your usual method. There are MANY people of ALL colors and religions that will unify behind silencing their voice. You want to see real racial and religious harmony? Overturn the will of the people in the state during a recession/depression there are a LOT of good people are out of work, and have nothing but time….Almost looking forward to exercising my 1st amendment rights in mass on the streets of EVERY city in the state… Civil Disobedience in order to change laws seems to be working for those seeking to drive our moral compass off the map, I guess it will work to put it back too.

Gay is a “Happy” term, and there is nothing “Gay” about the Faggot movement anymore, it is as thuggish as the Chicago Politicians that use “Color” as a crutch and a weapon. So if you and your family are out and about Saturday, beware of the planned protests across the state of California and elsewhere. The FREAKS are trying to tie the Marriage Definition to civil rights and they are reaching at straws. The FREAKS are trying to blur the lines between right and wrong in order to make themselves seem NORMAL.

Gay-marriage supporters plan Prop-8 protests

SAN FRANCISCO — Thousands of gay-marriage supporters plan to take to the streets Saturday to protest gay-marriage bans in California, Arizona and Florida.

Protesters are focusing on California, where the state Supreme Court declared same-sex marriages legal in May before voters tossed them out Nov. 4.

California’s Proposition 8, which passed 52.2% to 47.8%, “eliminates (the) right of same-sex couples to marry.”

Proponents of same-sex marriage say its passage has only energized the gay rights movement. Activists are using a grass-roots network of websites, e-mails and text messages to coordinate protests in about 300 cities — from Fayetteville, Ark., to Omaha.

“This narrow loss has awakened Godzilla,” says Fred Karger of Los Angeles, who runs the website Californians Against Hate (http://californiansagainsthate.com). “I think this loss in California … is the greatest thing that could have happened” because it spurred activism in the gay-marriage movement.

Prop. 8 foes plan Inland rallies on Saturday

Groups plan to rally outside city halls in Colton, Hemet, Moreno Valley, Riverside, Redlands and Palm Springs on Saturday as part of simultaneous national protests against California and other state’s newly approved bans on same-sex marriage.

On Nov. 4, California voters approved Prop. 8, which amends the state constitution to end same-sex marriage.

In the days since the measure passed, thousands of protesters have taken to California streets. They say the constitutional amendment discriminates against gays and lesbians and deprives them of the civil right to wed.

A Web site — www.jointheimpact.com — began promoting a coordinated nationwide protest this week, and the idea spread to local organizers such as Randall Lopez of the Inland Empire Human Rights Coalition.

“We have these protests to remind people,” said Lopez, who is organizing Saturday’s Colton protest. “In our opinion, this is wrong. We don’t have to pull the covers over our heads and wait till the next elections.”

But supporters of the ban on gay marriage say they voted to protect traditional marriage and family.

Everett Rice, legislative coordinator for the Riverside-based California Family Council, which helped put Prop. 8 on the ballot, said protesters have the right to speak their minds.

But “the majority of Californians disagree,” he said.

He added that Prop. 8 ensures that children learn that marriage is between a man and a woman and that what he considers “the homosexual agenda” is not taught in schools.

The Inland protests against the same-sex marriage ban will all begin at 10:30 a.m. in sync with rallies around the country opposed to gay marriage bans passed on Election Day in California, Florida and Arizona. Arkansas voters banned gay couples from adopting children.

Well now, this sounds promising…Time to rally the troops, if you have an hour to kill on Saturday, make sure you get to these protests and hold a sign giving the media the OTHER View.

Why are the gay and lesbian community protesting? They LOST PERIOD. The issue is settled, wait two years and try to get it back on the ballot. WE will remember this time, we will be putting up the video’s, the pictures and the writings of the losers of the prop 8 battle. Trust me when I tell you this will have an impact on the ballot of 2010. IF there is a gay marriage measure or Prop. it will get squashed because of your actions NOW! Think Immigration Protests.

Faggots and Prop 8 supporters should be very careful about stepping out of their strongholds, Frisco and West Hollywood are FAG Friendly. Out here in the RED Zone there are a few of us that are as ANTI-FAG as you are PRO-Fag.
