RNC Closes out. Cruz, Trump rift still on.

RNC Closes out. Cruz, Trump rift still on.

Well, I don’t post here as much as I should. If anyone is still getting the feed, here goes some thoughts on the Republican National Convention that just ended.

Melania, gave a speech, I heard she gave a really good speech, it is very hard for me to listen to her because she is so damn HOT! Also heard she “Stole” a part of it from Michelle Obama. Which should be okay since that skank stole her’s from Saul Alinsky.

MSNBC host’s broke down in their safe spaces over Hillary merchandise.

Some moron lit a flag on fire and with it, himself. Good.

Sheriff David Clarke… WOW. STANDING OVATION.

Rudy, Rudy.. He knocked it out of the park.

A bunch of others landed truth bombs all over Cleveland.

Now onto Ted Cruz…. As anyone that knows me understands, I was on the Cruz crew all the way through the primaries. I voted for him even after he dropped out. He gave a great speech but nobody heard it. People were on the edge of their seats to hear him endorse Trump or to call out Trump by name in an insulting way. He did neither.

Cruz was never going to endorse Trump, Trump knew it. He read the speech before hand and allowed him to air it out. Trump didn’t stop it, didn’t even respond to anything Cruz said in his speech. Cruz was absolutely RIGHT in what he said. “Vote your conscience” is what we all should be doing. Trump exercised some leadership qualities I didn’t think he had by allowing Cruz a platform to air it out. Its not pretty, its downright ugly sometimes but the result may be a SCOTUS position or some other appointment requiring congress approval.

Trump took the high ground away from Cruz by letting him decide on national TV where his conscience and principles are. Will it end Ted Cruz? Doubt it, he gained a lot of respect for not bowing down to the king as Sanders did to the queen.

Trump’s speech: Said a lot of good things, went left as I figured but it’s understandable at this point. The NEVER TRUMP crowd means he has to replace them with the somewhat normal thinking centerist’s. Trump has to pull in to the tent. The unifying factor is COUNTRY and it always should be but it hasn’t been for the last two Republican POTUS candidates. Trump might have moved the polls a little to the Republican side but the DNC will likely move it back.

The thing people need to understand is: Romney was Hitler, McCain was Hitler, Ryan was Hitler, Boehner was Hitler… So when you hear “Trump is Hitler” you must ask yourself if its true that all the opposition is Hitler?… IF Kasich, Graham, Rubio, Walker or any other candidate was the nominee, the attack plan is the same. Let that sink in.

November can’t come soon enough, either we have Trump or Clinton. And as you remember from my way earlier posts, I was just fine with either Cruz or Trump so I’ll jump on that Trump train and hope we get CROOKED HILLARY IN PRISON rather than the White House.

Pray for our nation, pray that Trump wins or its truly over.

So since I last posted, Trump has sewn up the nomination. This is not a joke, it’s a fact. He should get to 1237 delegates before the convention. And as such, will be the Republican Candidate to oppose Hillary Clinton for POTUS.

As I stated many times, there were only two viable candidates for the right side of the aisle. NEITHER WERE GOP FAVORITES! Cruz or Trump.

Now I’d like to do a quick Post-mortem on the Cruz campaign.

Cruz was the best possible candidate as far as conservative record in government. In a normal world, conservatives would have united behind him based on just a few of his actions. But we didn’t and the reason is all Ted Cruz’s fault.

Ted Cruz and his campaign made a huge error by thinking the American people wanted church from their politicians. Ted Cruz decided to use the bible as a weapon when it should have been used as a guide. The American people (R’s) are mostly fine with Christianity on Sunday’s from pastors, but when politician’s preach it’s a bit unnerving. I get that.

Now onto the Trump win. Why did he win? He won because he spoke like a normal person, an egomaniac, an outsider and he didn’t take any shit without dishing it back ten fold.

I have said I’d vote for either one of them in the general election. And I will. But let’s talk a minute about the Never Trump movement.

Ted Cruz (R-TX), talk during a broadcast break in the CNN, Salem Media Group, The Washington Times Republican Presidential Primary Debate on the campus of the University of Miami on March 10, 2016 in Coral Gables, Florida. Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Paul Ryan, John Boehner, Mitch McConnell are all against Trump, ALL are openly hostile to the thought of a Trump presidency. The key word is OPENLY. Because if they’re that OPEN about their dislike, you can bet behind close doors, they’re backing HILLARY. I’ll let that resonate a minute.

Ready?

Now let’s look at the Never Trump movement that say they are TRUE conservatives, who are aligned with the RINO’s I mentioned above. Dana Laesch, Glenn Beck, Ben Shapiro and Several other pundits are all in against Trump because they feel Trump played us all and he’s really a liberal. I’ll let that percolate right there for a minute to see if you catch it.

Did ya?

Then let me spell it out: Trump has united “Conservatives” and the far left of the Republican party, that gave us more spending, more debt, more laws, screwed veterans, more money for illegals and refugee’s, obamacare, TPP as well as the Omnibus bill. The Omnibus bill that even Pelosi said they couldn’t get through if Dem’s were in charge I might add.

Now, these Never Trump “Conservatives” are working actively with those they have been railing against since 2008 to deny Trump the presidency. How in the hell does that make any sense?

Cruz conservatives, most of us understand what is at stake. Some are just plain lost in emotion. But it didn’t really matter which one was the nominee. I know for a fact that 80% of the Trump supporters that are berating Never Trump’rs would be Never Cruz’rs if he won. You know it, I know it but it is what it is.

So where do we go from here?

I contend that Reagan wasn’t Reagan until he was given a chance to be Reagan. In 1980 there was a movement to stop Reagan too. That movement was headed up by John Anderson. It didn’t work then. But then we had real men in America, we had a better education system. Who knows this time.

My point is, if you’re happy with the way things are going, vote Hillary, If you’re not happy with the candidates and want to stay home, at least vote Hillary and be man about it rather than a bitch and deflect the blame to everyone else.

If we refuse to give a man a chance to do his best, to be great or suck then it’s on us. He has given his time, money and effort to show you he wants it, he got more votes than our guy, to deny him the opportunity is to say to the people who voted for him “I know better than you guys” Which is a tyrannical view we rail against.

I say give Trump a chance if he sucks, then in four years, we’ll run his ass out. IF he does great he’ll be 8yrs and America will be great again.

2016 election deja-vu…

2016 election deja-vu…

Here we go again folks… This is the most disheartening post I’ve written in a long time.

We conservatives have a real problem within our own group. We have various levels of conservatives who feel their level is the true conservative and the rest are either not conservative or too libertarian or whatever. We will take apart any conservative in the election to make sure our conservative gets the nomination or we won’t vote.

I’m as guilty as anyone for this.

Lets go back to 2008, it didn’t matter if Reagan showed up Obama was going to win.

Lets go back to 2012, We had conservatives who actually WORKED with Reagan in DC running and we conservatives failed to back them in favor of another conservative who didn’t make it either. We ended up with Romney and all the polls said he’d win so conservatives said screw it, and he lost.

Now in 2016 we have another shot..The Trumpers are battling the Cruzers and Rubio is getting all the GOP money and support.

When this all shakes out, there’s going to be decision to be made. After Tuesday that decision is going to be more clear.

I have good friends who are on the Trump train, I am not on that train. I’m on the Cruz wagon. My reasoning is very simple. The GOP will accept a Trump presidency, as evident by Christies endorsement. No matter what you hear, the GOP knows this election is more of a vengeance election against the GOP than a support the Republican party, so they won’t come out and say “Trump is okay” that’s a death knell.

But the problem is, we spend 8 months beating Republican candidates bloody, then we give the carcass to the Democrats to pick at the bones a few more months… By the time we vote, we are in such a state of hopelessness that we just want it to stop.

I suggest we all take the “These two are okay with me” stance in regards to Cruz and Trump. Either you are a TRUMP guy and will compromise with Cruz, or you’re a CRUZ guy and will compromise with Trump. But lets knock off the “My guy or No Guy” bullshit and at least pick two.

The Ace of Spades said it best:

I do understand the importance of this election cycle is one that I can’t sit out because Trump isn’t my guy. I’ll pull the trigger for Trump in a heartbeat if he’s the nominee.

Now, if its Rubio or Kasich? Well, lets just cross that bridge if its on fire after Tuesday…
