Voting in California… Sigh.

Voting in California… Sigh.

Since I live in California my attitude about voting is less than confident. Less than happy, less than patriotic, less than optimistic and far less than excited. Here’s why:

In California, propositions or measures that the voters pass by huge majorities, get taken to court and overturned by activist judges. The people of this state vote for candidates based on what they promise to give them, not what they will do to improve their possibilities.

I happen to live in a fairly red area of California, we are surrounded by liberal leaning sections of the county and you can sure tell the difference. Nuff said.

With my attitude about voting here aside. I’ll be voting. One of my favorite people in this nation is Ted Nugent and he has a saying that is perfect right now. “Do Good ANYWAY” Voting is the most important thing you do as an American. IF you are a true American you know who and what you are voting for. You don’t vote for a person based on the color of ones skin. You vote for the candidate that most aligns with your views. Well, you shouldn’t. And I sure as hell don’t. I’m voting straight R because the alternative is so bad.

I’ll be voting holding my nose for: Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina. Voting in California is a lot like trying to pick up a turd from the clean end. No matter how you do it, it stinks.

I hope the rest of the nation goes better than the State of California is going to go.

Why don’t politicians answer questions?

Why don’t politicians answer questions?

Watching the Sunday morning talk shows, the one thing that bugs me more than any other is the lack of answers to questions. Both parties, both ideologies in the running for election refuse to answer questions. They dance around the issues, they deflect the questions, they point fingers, they flat out make up stuff to avoid answering…WHY?

I don’t think it’s the questions themselves, I think it’s the opponents use of their answers that cause them to be so vague.

Carly Fiorina was asked by Chris Wallace “What specific cuts to the entitlements would you make” Mrs Fiorina danced around that question like a professional ball room dancer…And I fully understand why she did. She’s running in a state that is flush with entitlements. We in California want that to stop, we want the welfare for life program to stop, we want the illegal’s cut off, we want the state unions to pay their share and quit soaking the tax payers. We would like a lot of entitlements CUT OUT. But could she say that? Hell no, she would go from a tie with Boxer to  30 points behind in the race.

If she would have answered that question I’d have become a die hard Fiorina supporter, I’d have placed signs in my yard, bumper stickers on my car and hell maybe tattoo’d her name on my forehead. And probably 30% of this state would have done the same. BUT: We would be stuck with Boxer on Nov 3rd though.

And that’s a damn shame in its own right.

Democrats are no better, every democrat that appeared on any show this morning failed to answer any question without blaming the republicans for something in their answer. I didn’t hear ONE, not ONE of them admit their failures, instead we were subjected to blame, name calling and flat out lies or spin.

Eventually, and it may be very soon, we will get some straight talking politicians. Until that point, we are stuck with politics as usual. The tea party candidates are a breath of fresh air though for the most part.

Note to Politicians: Start answering the questions. Start with TRUTH, start with the VALUES you hold dear and answer truthfully your opinions. We can handle it. IF you lose because of it, then you lost nothing. You stood and you tried, it’s the American people that lost.

Seriously:

If a Democrat comes on a talk show and gets this question: “Are you a Marxist?” and he answers “Why yes, I believe Marxism best defines my views on how we need to run our nation”

I may vote for him just because at least he’s telling the truth.

Don’t be shocked!

If a Republican came out and said “They wanted to raise the retirement age to 85, cut social security, and send every senior to an Island off the coast of Africa”

I’d vote for them too…

What I’m saying is I’m damn tired of guessing how a person is going to do their job if elected. The past is a good indicator for an incumbent, but for a new candidate it’s not a good measuring stick. Answer the questions better than you have been and do it without pandering. It shouldn’t be that hard.

We all Know Progressives want Amnesty..BUT

We all Know Progressives want Amnesty..BUT

When a California Senator pays Illegal Immigrants to hold signs protesting her competitor, it’s pretty much out in the open now:

Boxer’s Mexico-Turf:

If you are a democrat in today’s America, you are the problem with our nation. IF you are a Bill Maher, Ed Shultz, or Chris Tingles fan, you are the problem. IF you are a Progressive/Liberal I wish you a painful death or a trip to France, Spain, Greece or Belgium, whichever comes first.

Sarah Palin endorses “RINO”

Sarah Palin endorses “RINO”

Well I can’t say I’m surprised at all. The prevailing thought around here (California) is: Chuck Devore; the MOST desirable candidate in the race to unseat Barbara Boxer, can not win here. This being California, the RINO’s are running the place. No Candidate can win without the latino vote, and since Devore has came out against ILLEGAL Immigration, and the MORONS in California can’t differentiate between LEGAL and ILLEGAL, Devore doesn’t have a chance. On the other hand Carly came out against AZ’s law and now has a shot at the seat.

Sarah Palin Endorses Carly Fiorina

Republican California Senate candidate and former Hewlett-Packard chief executive Carly Fiorina today announced that she had secured the backing of former Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaska governor and current television personality Sarah Palin.

“Carly is the Commonsense Conservative that California needs and our country could sure use in these trying times,” Palin said in a release. “She’s not a career politician. She’s a businesswoman who has run a major corporation.”

“I’m a huge proponent of contested primaries, so I’m glad to see the contest in California’s GOP, but I support Carly as she fights through a tough primary against a liberal member of the GOP who seems to bear almost no difference to Boxer, one of the most leftwing members of the Senate,” Palin added

This is absolutely a slap in the face of all California tea party members. Sarah Palin endorsing a faux conservative says that she is nothing more than a party above all else type of politician. We have had enough of that type, this is why we are organizing against it. It seems that the sheep in the tea party are following the “R” at all cost and that thinking got GWB, McCain and Even Scott Brown….This is a good way to remain on the sidelines for another 4 years.

Sarah Palin should stick to speeches, and rallying the troops around TRUE conservative candidates, she is not helping to change the face of DC by endorsing those that fit the same profile.

Chuck Devore for Boxer’s seat.
