California companies fleeing the Golden State

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) — Buffeted by high taxes, strict regulations and uncertain state budgets, a growing number of California companies are seeking friendlier business environments outside of the Golden State.

And governors around the country, smelling blood in the water, have stepped up their courtship of California companies. Officials in states like Florida, Texas, Arizona and Utah are telling California firms how business-friendly they are in comparison.

Companies are “disinvesting” in California at a rate five times greater than just two years ago, said Joseph Vranich, a business relocation expert based in Irvine. This includes leaving altogether, establishing divisions elsewhere or opting not to set up shop in California.

“There is a feeling that the state is not stable,” Vranich said. “Sacramento can’t get its act together…and that includes the governor, legislators and regulatory agencies that are running wild.”

The article doesn’t say that one of the biggest problems is the population. The remaining population is unqualified to work in a successful company. There are plenty of fast food, cashiers, sales folks, and yard workers. But there are very few industrial experienced people. Not to mention there are very few that are worth taking a chance on. The “Diversity” experiment has failed miserably. WHY?

The fact is we didn’t expect those that come here to become AMERICANS. We allowed them to continue and enforce their own country’s failures on us. California is an example of liberal leadership.

I stated in 2006 when Pelosi took over the speaker gavel that the nation will now experience California leadership… Was I right?

The last part in the article Gavin Newsome (Lt GOV, former SF mayor.. You may remember his “So goes the nation” statement on gay marriage) Says:

“Later this year, California will set up a new agency that will serve as a focal point for economic development and job creation, he said. Among its goals will be to reverse the perception that California is business-unfriendly.

“We’re going to start pounding away at this and begin to slowly turn this around,” he said”

Which is part of the problem. Obama set up agencies, commissions and panels to fix the economy. IF you don’t follow the advice, your pissing into the wind. I expect the agency Newsome sets up to be about as useful as tits on a bull.

Hang in there Texas, you’re our only hope. Demand that people when coming to Texas become TEXANS. Don’t allow them to bring their dumbassery to Texas and infest a good thing…

California’s criminal alien population rises

The number of criminal aliens incarcerated in California rose to 102,795 in 2009, a 17 percent increase since 2003, federal auditors reported Thursday.

This isn’t cheap. Nationwide, the Government Accountability Office reports, it costs well over $1.1 billion a year for states to imprison criminal aliens — those who committed a crime after entering the United States illegally. California, moreover, is more expensive than other states. GAO auditors estimated California spends $34,000 to incarcerate a criminal alien for one year; in Texas, it’s only $12,000.

The audit, requested by Rep. Zoe Lofgren, D-San Jose, will provide ammunition for states’ perennial effort to secure more federal reimbursement dollars.

More than one in four of the illegal immigrants imprisoned in California are behind bars for drug offenses. Many are also repeat offenders. GAO auditors say that, based on a survey, criminal alien inmates have been arrested an average of seven different times.

So to recap, California is spending 34k a year to house an ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT CRIMINAL. California is in debt up to it’s eye’s and we are going to raise taxes again here…

Arizona tried to do something about the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT INVASION and Obama sues them. Um can someone wake me up this has got to be a nightmare.

America the land of the free and the brave? Um not anymore. It’s the land of Government over reach and cowards who will not face issues anymore. We’ve had this illegal immigration debate for over 20 years. NOTHING has been done. Now we have a large ignorant Hispanic voting block… What political party will do what’s right when they know/think they will be voted out because of it? Where’s the courage?

Now that Obama is tanking in the polls, it’s election time. So expect the ILLEGAL immigration debate to ratchet up. The Right Side of the aisle will be hate mongers, and racists again… Can’t FKN Wait.

34k a year? Hey libs, how many jobs would that create?

IF the Illegal is not in prison, it costs the state oh around 30k in health care, education and other “Gimme’s” so I guess in the DEMOCRAT Math we are saving 4k per illegal alien… 😯

Something that those of us who raised kids in California already knew.

Latino kids now majority in state’s public schools

Latinos now make up a majority of California’s public school students, cracking the 50 percent barrier for the first time in the state’s history, according to data released Friday by the state Department of Education.

Almost 50.4 percent of the state’s students in the 2009-10 school year identified themselves as Hispanic or Latino, up 1.36 percent from the previous year.

In comparison, 27 percent of California’s 6.2 million students identified themselves as white, 9 percent as Asian and 7 percent as black. Students calling themselves Filipino, Pacific Islander, Native American or other total almost 7 percent.

While the result was no surprise to educators, experts say the shift underscores the huge impact Latinos already have on California’s politics, economy and school system.

We’ve known this for a long time. This is the biggest reason our schools are failing. Our schools are pretty much prisons. The public school system in California is broken and it was broken by the politically correctness that is a cancer to our nation. We made concessions to illegals, we started teaching the classes in Spanish so it was easier for immigrants from Mexico and elsewhere in South America. We called it “Cultural differences” when they brought their crime and mayhem into our schools. We appeased them and didn’t expect them to assimilate.

So now we have a disaster that can not be fixed without violence. Any government solution to this mess will cause riots in the streets. It’s not just the school system in California, that’s the measurement that is the most noticeable. But you can look at the prison system for the next marker. Latino’s also make up the majority of inmates here.

California is broke, it is hanging on by a thread and without Federal help this state will become worse than Mexico at some point. The reason it will be WORSE than Mexico is because Mexico never coddled their population. Once you have given everything to your population and then try and take it away it creates a violent situation. Something our idiots in Government don’t understand.
