Surrender

July 6th, 2008 (4 hours ago) . by Robert

I have about had it with all the SURRENDER NOW! Talk from the liberal flip flop king.

Enough

I was listening to John (Flip Flop Kerry) talking on “Face the Nation” He was opposed by Lindsey Graham and the media bias was more than evident by the moderator, BUT Lindsey did well IMO.

John Kerry perpetrated at least six flips and three flops in the hour show, all while supporting Obama… There was no one better to represent Obama’s flip-flops on Iraq or Afghanistan because when you are accused of flipping and flopping you need the best to defend you.

IRAQ
FACT: We broke Iraq because of poor decisions in the beginning. WE did not make the right decisions in order to end this conflict quickly.
FACT: The responsible thing to do when you break something is to take ownership, and fix it, repair it or pay the owner so they can replace it.
FACT: The USA is trying to act responsible and it is evident by the lack of news coming out of Iraq…. The good news is buried in the back of papers, and is mentioned in passing by news commentators.

I AM NOT DISCUSSING THE REASONS WE ARE THERE! That is not the topic of this discussion.

The liberal mentality is on display for the world to see, and countries that oppose the U.S.A are paying close attention. WHY?

Liberals have no moral fiber, the vast majority of them do not believe in higher power so they do not believe in a consequence for their actions. MOST liberals do not have a spine, and they are very short sighted, if something happens it needs to happen QUICK because the liberal mind cannot envision the long-term result of any action. (Yes, it appears GWB and Rummy suffered from some liberal tendencies)

In world issues, the countries that oppose the USA’s freedoms and are threatened by America’s success are hoping for an Obama presidency. Obama portrays a position of weakness in the world, his words, actions and methods show that he will not only compromise on moral/human or political issues, but will actually give up our beliefs and values in order not to have a confrontation. McCain on the other hand, would not want the confrontation, would at least be negotiating from a position of strength.
Negotiating from a strong position is a much better
position than from your knees begging for a handout.

I realize Iraq is a topic of HIGHLY flammable verbal gymnastics… I really am not interested in talking about “Why we are there”, “Blood for Oil” or “Afghanistan was where we should have stayed”  I am interested in fixing what WE as a nation broke, and running away and leaving Iraq to fall into certain radical elements should not be a desired “Fix” we should even consider.

Oh and does anyone know who the first Liberal Democrat was???

It was Christopher Columbus. He left not knowing where he was going, got there not knowing where he was, Left there not knowing where he’d been, and did it all on borrowed money….(From GUNZ)

June 22nd, 2008 . by Robert

The video is a little long (10 min) but worth the time if you want to be informed.

Now is that telling? does anyone feel better about OBAMA?

Try this; Watch the video again and substitute the words White for Black and see if you feel it was a little racist…..

3 in 10 Americans admit to racial bias

June 22nd, 2008 . by Robert

MSNBC (Olberman’s crew) have this story up:

As Sen. Barack Obama opens his campaign as the first African American on a major party presidential ticket, nearly half of all Americans say race relations in the country are in bad shape.

Whole Story here

My Friend Texas Fred has a terrific editorial on his site about this.

Wow, three in 10 acknowledge feelings of racial prejudice, 30% of the nation is honest, how about that!

Everyone, no matter who you are, no matter what color your skin is, no matter where you’re from, whether you’ll admit it openly or not, some won’t even admit it to themselves, but everyone has at least some racial bias or prejudice, it’s just a question of who has the guts to stand up and say it without fear of repercussions.

I am going to add a little to it.

Imagine the Reverend Wright along with these two… oh THEN CALL ME A RACIST.

Al Sharpton and Obama

Race relations are bad according to the MSNBC’s target pollies. WHAT WAS LEFT OUT IS WHAT RACE? They talk about Black and White, but left out the Latino (Brown, Hispanic…Whatever; I don’t want to offend anyone)

I do not see the Black/White race relations being strained because of Obama, I see the strain because of folks like Sharpton, Jackson, Farrakhan, Wright and their supporters. folks like Byrd and some other WHITE leaders are just as guilty.

IMO the victim mentality and the “Blame the man for my crack addiction” as well as the “Gimme” mentality that is so prevalent in the inner cities and enabled by folks LIKE OBAMA is the biggest strain on race relations between blacks and whites. Case and Point:

Bill Cosby was publicly chastised for telling Black fathers that they need to take responsibility for their actions…..OBAMA says the same exact thing and we hear NOTHING, not a peep.

Race relations are not as strained between black and white as they would like you to believe. NOW Relations between ILLEGALS and BOTH Black and White is severely strained.

In some areas of the inner cities Blacks and Mexicans are strained, and mostly because the ILLEGAL element is taking a piece of their “Gimme” pie, not to mention the jobs are scarce and the illegals work cheap.

So Race relations between all are somewhat strained big freakin deal, Is the media darling Obama going to repair them? I seriously doubt it. He will deepen the divide because of his relationship with Wright we can take a look at the future…

And for those of you that think my Relationship with Fred is the same thing, it is. Think about it for a minute, I am not a racist, I don’t hold ALL of the same views Fred does, BUT I don’t have to tell yo which ones we disagree on, I am not running for office so disclosure is not my bane.
Perhaps you are looking at my views in the future when you are reading Fred’s site? could be right? so why would you give Obama a pass on Reverend Wright?

While I am not a racist, I am an AMERICAN first kind of guy and when I see a problem I will address it here in a pretty straight forward way, if you don’t like it bail out, pull the chord and we’ll never speak of it again.

A really POLITICAL Question:

June 21st, 2008 . by Robert

What would it take to get you excited about McCain in the general election?

The reason I ask is; The feeling around the blogs appears to range from disgust, to joyful exuberance when McCain is brought up.

MY OPINION: Is utter disgust at the choice we have to make, and if I thought for a minute Obama would be better man for the job I’d voice my support for him. There are only TWO things McCain has going for him, ONE is he is not OBAMA, two is HE IS NOT OBAMA!

Obama is the most liberal person to ever be this close to election, Jimmah Carter was close but I think Obama is even further left.

For me, what would get me happy about the upcoming election is a good VP choice.

If McCain picks The Gov of LA. that would be ok, don’t know if they can win but I’d be a little less disgusted. A winning ticket would be a McCain/Colin Powell ticket… Not going to happen but it would be a dream ticket for the GOP since OBAMA can pretty much count on MOST of the Black vote even if they know he would be a bad choice. HE’s BLACK and that appears to be the biggest thing going for Obama…. Racist??? Not hardly but telling it like it is. The BIGGEST THING for McCain is HE IS WHITE! is that better? Race appears to be the dividing issue according to the media and other pollsters.

If Obama picks Edwards, that ticket would be so far left it would only get votes from Code Pinko and a few others, I think a lot of moderate Dems would abandon ship and head to McCain.

If Obama did pick Hilary that might seal it for the Demorats.

I am just thinking out loud here but as far as close to home issues go I think we are HOSED either way.

sigh.

I hope I don’t run afoul of Obama’s support staff.

Obama Support staff

UPDATE: This is (and has been) a great discussion, and I thank all of you folks for dropping by, some of you I have talked to before, some I had not met.

I also appreciate the fact that we can have a decent discussion without anyone being called a racist or redneck bog dwelling hick…

I placed every commenter’s links (if you had a blog) on my side bar,(if you don’t want me to link to you, either email me or leave a comment of removal on any thread and l will remove the link) and I will be trying to get around to your sites over this weekend.

This kind of comment thread makes me glad I didn’t give up blogging, THIS is why I wanted to blog.

The results after a whole day of comments:
Most of us will vote for McCain, since they only have two choices. They will hold their nose and vote for the lesser of two evils. They are hoping for McCain to pick a strong VP and they will hope that McCain will at least pick “Right” leaning SCOTUS Judges.

Some folks have decided to NOT vote or they will write in as a matter of principle, and I can certainly understand that feeling.

Myself I am kind of in the middle between the two, I really don’t want to vote for McCain, I can’t stand his Illegal Immigration stance and I think the Border control issue is going to sink McCain’s chances.

SEE THIS McCain calls for comprehensive immigration reform at private meeting with Hispanic Republicans

It’s one thing to say you are pushing for Immigration Reform, it’s quite another thing to have already been involved in an attempt to REFORM IMMIGRATION.

McCain tried to ram amnesty down our throats under cover of McCain/Kennedy/Bush and night fall, a real trust issue for the people IMO.

Well the thread is still open… Have a great day…..

McCain Calls Obama a Cowboy?

June 21st, 2008 . by Robert

John McCain has accused Barack Obama of “cowboy diplomacy” over free trade that threatened to undermine relations with Canada and reverse the benefits of the North American Free Trade Agreement.

The Republican presidential candidate made the attack before heading to Ottawa on Friday for a speech championing the virtues of free trade.

Writing in the Detroit Free Press, Mr McCain said it would be the “height of economic and foreign policy irresponsibility” to demand renegotiation of Nafta, as Mr Obama proposed in February.

Mr McCain said Mr Obama was wrong to have argued that Nafta had “devastating” consequences for US communities. “What truly would be devastating is to jeopardise the trade expansion of Nafta through a misguided, isolationist impulse that would inevitably and understandably alienate a key partner like Canada.”

Mr Obama acknowledged this week that the rhetoric on free trade had become “overheated and amplified” during the primaries and appeared to back away from his threat to renegotiate Nafta unilaterally. “I’m not a big believer in doing things unilaterally,” he told Fortune magazine.

In his speech to business leaders in Ottawa, Mr McCain promised to lead an “outward-looking America”.
Read the Rest HERE

Did anyone catch the HYPOCRISY and outright pandering? or am I picking fly shit out of pepper?

1. McCain attacks Obama’s “COWBOY Diplomacy”??? WTF have we been accustom to for the last 8 years? Bush is the epitome of those words yet OBAMA being a little maverick is BAD? just a little Hypocrisy.

2. Obama says “He is not a big believer in doing things unilaterally” well dipstick being a leader sometimes calls for making tough decisions, and if you aren’t willing to go it alone and put your ass on the line for WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN, then you will never be a leader. GWB did it, although I think on a couple of key areas he shouldn’t have, at least he took the shot. He put it out there, and he will be judged in 10 to 20 years on what he did… It will take that long for us to remove the stains.

Note to John McCain, if you want to call out Obama’s lack of experience and liberal tendencies (FAR LEFT VIEWS) fine, call him a lemming or whatnot., but when I think of Obama I don’t really think Cowboy, I think Jimmy Carter with a tan.

OOps here I go again:
