Republicans are eating their own?

Just a quick post regarding the Sunday talk show hosts and pundits revelations of the “Donner Party” syndrome. The DNC Chair Tim Kaine (D-ipshit) say the tea party is the new “Donner Party” several of them talked about Miller in AK and O’Donnel in Delaware.

Just to make it perfectly clear where I stand on the issue: GFY old GOP and New DEM party.

IF the GOP had any sense they would listen to the people and do as Jim Demint said. CHANGE your ways. The new Democrats are not your daddy’s Democrats. These are the progressives in full power and you are seeing the collapse of a system they hate.

The OLD Republican party is DEAD. Folks like Charlie Crist, Lisa Murkowski, Arlen Spector and possibly a few others that switch party’s to stay in power are examples. The POWER they seek is not for the benefit of the people but for their own benefit. What any self respecting COUNTRY first politician would do is to support the candidate within the party that they lost too. That is obviously too tough for some of these “RINO’s.”

IF they want to call us the Donner party… I say pass the BBQ sauce. RINO is good lightly basted with GTFO.

  1. It might be too late, but the GOP might try …..

Stop worrying about the third parties. Worry about whether the GOP will be one of them.

  2. Much more importantly, why are the “conservatives” eating their own.

I can not believe Glenn Beck carrying Maher’s…..er…”water”.

Dating a guy that is toying with witchcraft in high school is certainly not on a par with using illegal drugs as an adult (yeah, Obama comes to mind, but I’m looking at you, Glenn Beck).

That the report came from Maher is all I need to know to dismiss it as noise.

    1. Well Larry, last time I checked, Glenn Beck wasn’t running for office nor does he hold elected office. We have a choice to turn him off. Obama we can’t.

Conservatives always eat their own. Who is or is not conservative enough is always the question. But come time to vote most conservatives exercise smart choices.

  3. True enough. But it isn’t only Beck, and even if it was, we still have the problem, like it or not, that several of us look to people like Beck for leadership, information and direction.

The puzzle to me is that I think he is correct, we need to stop giving the moron-class the cheap shots with the signs, shirts, and dare I say it, the costumes. (Let me be clear–I love all of it, but the moron-class is using it against us–that is the only reason–I believe–that Beck said what he said on the matter–it certainly is why I agree with him.)

But against that, here we have Beck (and following his lead, a lot of of others) giving people like Maher credibility he does not deserve.

But I understand my position is unpopular–I have been banned by ASSHQ (and all of the worthwhile blogs he controls) because of my unrelenting opposition to his driving traffic to his paramours, Sullivan and Johnson because by doing so he (she?) gives them an importance they don’t deserve.

I think we should be unrelenting in opposition to people that have done, are doing, or indicate in some way, will do things that hurt the cause. We should never give the enemy comfort in any way, shape, or form–finding pointless fault with people is just that.

  4. Looks like I forgot to close a tag. The first ‘graf is a quote, the rest is claimed as original stuff, to the extent that I ever write anything original.

  5. I’m a little lost on your comment Larry. Not sure how pointing out the idiocy of Maher is helping them. Beck is a true American, while I don’t agree with everything he says or does he’s truly trying to do what he thinks is best with the forum he has.

I’ve said this several times and I truly believe it. Without Beck, Palin and Ron Paul the tea party would never be a force in the political arena. Like them or not, they set the wheels in motion for a return to American values. For that I give them all kudos.

  6. It really is simple.

How many times have you gotten email spam or junk mail that scream “AS SEEN ON TV!!” when the only appearance on television is news reports regarding the fraud involved?

The people that will be swayed in the “right” direction already know the facts–many of them knew them before the first friendly airing.

The rest (that care at all) will say “well, gee, I heard that she…..” and make no mention that the hearing involved debunking.

Plus, we have the fact that many (including people like very bright daughters) regard people like Bill Maher and Jon Stewart as major, reliable sources of their “news”.

Your last ‘graf can not be argued-with, but they are in fact human and capable of error and I think Beck is losing track of the fact that to many, “hours of air time” is a reliable determinant of truth.

If you haven’t “got it” now, you aren’t going to with another reputation, so I’m out.
