Reporter Gushes about being selected to carry Obama’s talking points.

Now if you understand our media now and what the media was intended to do. This is not a good thing. The reason the alphabet networks go to such lengths to deny their lefty bias is they are supposed to be watching the rulers and reporting what they find. When they stop doing that valuable service, they become as untrusted as the people they are supposed to be watching. When the News on a channel is no longer “Unbiased” it loses viewers. Not the ones that believe in what they believe. But the ones that are expecting unbiased news, they are also known as the MAJORITY.

Local TV Reporter Gushes About Being “Chosen To Carry” Obama’s Talking Points

Justin Farmer is a reporter for Atlanta’s WSB-TV, and he’s exactly the kind of local-news reporter Barack Obama’s been looking for — the kind that’s too star-struck to be objective. Farmer talked of Obama with the traditional media tingles on the station website (since removed, but preserved by Politico): ” I took in the man himself, this man, President Barack Obama. Regardless of one’s political leanings, there’s no doubt this is a gifted and complex man. Think about what he ponders in any given day?”

Farmer also boasted that while Obama is shifting into reelection mode, he was “carefully chosen by the administration, along with a few others, to take his talking points back to Atlanta.” Being happy you were “carefully chosen” to carry talking points? That’s the line most editors might want to unpublish.

I’ve said it before and I’ll continue saying it. The MEDIA gave us Barack Obama. Now, the GOP helped, the previous administration helped but the real propulsion device was the Alphabet Networks. They alone hid, spun, turned their head and LIED in their reporting in order to further a PROGRESSIVE agenda. FACT.

You want to know the truth about what’s going on? Watch the FOX NEWS channel during the Obama regime. IF we get a “Republican” in office in 2012, watch CNN. They both are news channels, they both have a bend one way. But they research and report on their opposition much better than they do on their guy.

IF we allow our media to “Carry the message of the POTUS” no matter who it is, we have lost America. American media is supposed to be free, as of right now it’s heavily slanted LEFT and how’s that working out for you?

  1. Folks,

Watch the unedited interview here: http://www.wsbtv.com/news/27677794/detail.html

you’ll see we hardly were there to prop up anything the President wanted. We were well aware he wanted to discuss deficit reduction and get his talking points across. Instead, we challenged his policies on immigration and gas price control.

I’ve also provided a link to a story that got us international attention about proof terrorists have crossed into the U.S. via the porous Mexican border. http://www.wsbtv.com/2investigates/25596196/detail.html

We enjoyed our visit to the WH. Much to take in and enjoy for this history buff. Don’t confuse that with admiration for any particular man holding the office. Very different things.

    1. Justin. First let me say thank you for stopping by and posting your view.

Now let me address your comment. I watched the interview entirely. And I have to ask would you have treated a “Republican” with those kid gloves? Mr Farmer, I’ve been doing this for a very long time, I remember how the media (Not you per-se) treated GWB during interviews, the commentary afterwards and I don’t remember ANYONE in the media mentioning how happy they were to carry “Talking points back to their viewers”

The statement that was made does nothing to the cure the distrust Americans have of the media or our elected officials. We expect you guys to ask the questions and fact check the answers to the fullest and report your findings. When we can’t trust you to do it, WE do it. And although most of us will never be in your realm as far as viewers or status in the media world, WE have a voice and we have options.

Mr Farmer, you have a big responsibility. You must look with blinders on the sides. You must report without bias and you must inform without feeling. There’s a reason people like me exist. I exist because of the lack of trust in Main Stream Media.

Mr Farmer, if you can look at some of your fellow journalists/reporters and see no bias in their reporting, then that is the problem. If you seriously look you will see a vast swath of media bias, political correctness and UNDER REPORTING when it doesn’t fit the “Left” agenda and OVER REPORTING when it fits.

I think you can understand our “Mistrust” of the Main Stream Media.

Again Mr Farmer I thank you for your time in addressing this issue.

  2. Justin, I am a proud resident of the D/FW area… Maybe you need to think about WHY Brad Watson was so well received here, and across the nation, for the way he went AT Obama…

Farmer said, “there’s no doubt this is a gifted and complex man”

Justin, most egotistical narcissists ARE complex… Complex liars… The gifted part, yeah, he IS gifted, he has a great gift of being able to read from a teleprompter and shoot a line of BS that the weak-minded among us seem to soak up like a sponge…

I remember you all too well from your time in D/FW Justin, and I was glad to see you go, you appear to embody ALL that is wrong with the Mainstream Media today… A failure from the MSM to actually call it like it is…

  3. Journalists were once a tough-minded breed that reported only the “who, what, where, & when” of a news story. The deciphering of the “why” was left to the efforts of the effete oracular readers of tea leaves & entrails who inhabited the Opinion/Editorial pages of our metropolitan dailies; but even those soothsayers would have cringed at the use of words like “gifted” or “complex” to describe people whose profession is, after all, largely prevarication.
