Progressive’s Heads EXPLODING!

Paul Ryan has done exactly what Sarah Palin did in 2008. And that’s not where the comparison ends. Some folks hate Sarah Palin (My most bestest bud TexasFred can be counted in that camp) Some folks Lover her like a fat kid loves cake. I fall in between the two extremes.

In 08, Sarah energized the base and gave some of us some hope that Obama wouldn’t win. It was a fleeting emotion. Very soon after Palin’s RNC speech (Which by the way was absolutely AWESOME) The media went into full on attack mode. Not just the Democrat spin machine, but the “SUPPOSEDLY UNBIASED NEWS MEDIA.” as well.

Not objectifying at all…sigh.

This is about where the comparison ends.

While Sarah Palin was Governor of a state, she had limited exposure to DC and she was sheltered from media scrutiny until her launch in 08. Ryan on the other hand has been vilified, demonized, castigated and the victim of media’s BIAS for a very long time. He’s still standing in his position.

Sarah Palin was by all accounts raped by the media and left for dead out in the back of a bowling alley. Partly because of her responses to questions, partly because of the GOP’s lack of support for her, Partly because of us believing what we heard from a very biased media. Paul Ryan will not go out like Sarah Palin.

I say all that to get to the meat of the situation:

Romney is by all accounts a bit of a RINO. He’s NOT most conservatives first or last choice. He’s NOT the version of conservatism we would like to see. Of Course the version we’d like to see is a mixture of Ted Nugent, Joe Arpaio and Allen West with a dash of John Bolton, but that’s not going to happen. We are also realists and we know Romney is the last chance to remove the cancer the GOP let infest this country.

I say that to get to this:

I do think Romney is a bit better than McCain as far as conservatism goes. Not much, but better. I was very concerned about his 2nd Amendment stance. With the Paul Ryan pick, and Ted Nugent’s support, those worries are now gone. I’m all in with this ticket and happy about my vote going to a leadership team with real ideas and solutions not slogans and false promises.

Now comes the fun part. We’re about to hear from the “Supposedly UNBIASED media” everything Paul Ryan has ever done to “Wrong” some supposed “Victim” when he was 3 yrs old. So we will have a choice, we can let them have the last word. OR we can FIGHT for what is right, the truth no matter how painful needs to be respected. Think about this:

For the last 6 years, all the way back to when GWB was POTUS and the House, Senate were controlled by Democrats. The LIES we heard, that were touted as fact in the beginning, were found to be LIES later by the very media who parroted every lie as fact in the beginning. Confused yet? Think back do some research and look into the Democrats statements on every issue under the sun, they’ve been LYING and before the TRUTH gets out, the damage is done.

How do you fight a media so in the tank for ANY Democrat? Let me suggest ATTACK. Point it out, point it out to EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE. Pay attention, when they put out a story that doesn’t make even the slightest bit of sense, CALL IT OUT!

Be ready folks, It’s going to be war. It’s going to get way more ugly than any election ever in our history. This is going to send moderates into melt down. Be ready to stand up. Or there will be nothing left to stand up for.

I’m betting that the media assault on Palin will pale in comparison to what is on tap with Ryan. Ryan will not depend on media’s “Fairness” he will mount their ass over his fireplace. And he damn well better.

There’s a HUGE difference between Ryan and Palin…

Ryan has BRAINS… Palin has EGO
Ryan knows how to work the office … Palin QUIT her office
Ryan hasn’t said by golly you betcha once … Palin can’t talk without it
Ryan can SERVE the nation … Palin needs to serve at IHOP
Ryan is grounded in reality … Offer Palin a *reality* show and see how fast she jumps at it

I can go on and on, but you get the idea…

THe differences you speak Fred are somewhat true. But the similarities are there too. Both hunt and fish, both value the 2nd amendment, both were chosen as VP candidates, Both have a very big fan base, Both have passion for their beliefs..

The only reason I DON’T hate Sarah Palin the way you do is I respect her for her 2nd amendment stance and her hunting/trapping/fishing advocacy from a position of power. She was Gov of AK and DIDN’T BUDGE on any assault from anti’s who threatened those rights. I could write what I don’t like about her too, but she’s not on a ticket or running for anything. She’s a suport structure now and to her credit has been a HUGE money gatherer to the cause of removing Obama.

If Palin weren’t the Drama Queen from HELL and if she hadn’t QUIT on Alaska, I would have NO problem with her… Well, the by golly doggoneit you betcha is annoying as hell but we have already discussed a way to shut her up… 😈

  2. I have to say that Palin is now, in fact, supporting structure. But she is VERY good at that role. Her biggest fault, which proved correct, was he abandonment of the governor’s seat. When she stepped down before the end of her term, it proved that she does NOT have what it takes to see things through difficult times.

Therefore, I couldn’t support her any more.

She seeks no office, so I acknowledge her ability to invigorate the GOP masses as speeches and rallies.

As for Ryan, yeah, I AM 100% behind him.
