Obama Woos Ron Paul supporters

Obama Woos Ron Paul supporters

Lets take a look at this and tell me if it passes the smell test.

Obama: the US can no longer fight the world’s battles

The mighty American military machine that has for so long secured the country’s status as the world’s only superpower will have to be drastically reduced, Barack Obama warned yesterday as he set out a radical but more modest new set of priorities for the Pentagon over the next decade.

After the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that defined the first decade of the 21st century, Mr Obama’s blueprint for the military’s future acknowledged that America will no longer have the resources to conduct two such major operations simultaneously.

Here’s a few problems I have with this “Executive decision”

It’s in an election year of course. One of the reason Ron Paul has been so successful this year is his foreign policy/military intervention policy. Ron Paul was heading UP in the polls and HOW would Obama compete with Paul should he win the nomination?

Ron Paul the visionary of the likes we haven’t seen since Chamberlain (Sarcasm) would pull our troops out of every nation (Stated by Paul many times) So Obama cutting 500K troops and with it that support structure takes Paul’s major “Draw” away.

Ron Paul was getting a lot of crossover support from Obama backers who are tired of war. All of us are TIRED of war. But there’s UNINTENDED consequences going to come to reality very soon.

Bill Clinton ran away from Somalia after the black hawk down incident and it was mentioned by enemy combatants Somalia was a catalyst for 9-11-2001. It gave our enemy hope that we would shudder in fear and allow the 7th century mentality to run wild… It didn’t after 9-11-2001 a lot of ragheads met Allah in hell. Good enough, now it’s time to prepare for the next problem.

Cutting 500K troops from a force that is the ONLY Government run entity that IS successful is ridiculous. Seems to me with the job picture VERY grim 500k more unemployed won’t help the numbers at all.

Here’s another thing folks might not realize: Ron Paul usually has between 13-17% of votes across the nation. During the 2008 election only a very small percentage of that total voted for McCain. The rest voted for Obama. What that means is A GOOD PART of the Paul supporters are severely independent and truly want our nation to return to a strict constitutional rule. FINE, but there’s also an extremely LARGE part of Paul supporters who are extremely LIBERAL in their beliefs and will vote for Obama if Paul is NOT the nominee. Obama just took Paul’s NUCLEAR option off the table by his cutting the US Military.

I’m hearing people complaining that the military’s leadership is not speaking against this. They can’t. They have to the leave this up to the American people.

I also want people to know a few things. I think there are SOME areas our military can be cut/restructured and IMPROVED. But a BLANKET cut, while maintaining or EXPANDING WELFARE and ENTITLEMENTS is the definition of stupidity and if we as Americans re-elect Barack Hussien Obama to 4 more years, this particular cut will be MINOR in comparison and we deserve whatever America looks like in 2015. It’s going to be unrecognizable to many in the world.

Ron Paul’s supporters love to tout the “Military support” he gets from active service members. Paul’s policy has just been implemented. Let’s see in a few months how much support he gets from those unemployed veterans.

I also wonder if there’s been some back channel discussions with the Mullah’s in the middle east… Tensions are high in the gulf region, maybe Obama decided he’d hurry the destruction up a bit since his re-election is in doubt. Just sayin.

  1. That person in the WhiteHouse has got himself his army that he has mentioned on many occasions in the past. This army is the DHS with thheir soldier suits and their H&K autos. By cutting back on the US military he may be reducing competition to this army or he may be trying for more recruits. What ever the reasons the situation is very suspicious.

  2. Smell test? You use Obama and Paul in one story and use a term like SMELL test?

Are you aware? I am gonna make a tacky comment on something like that…

I might say something like “Well, they’re BOTH full of SHIT, that’s the only thing I smell…”

Or, I might make a remark about how ALL of Ron Paul’s supporters are unwashed moonbats, THAT would illicit a smell I believe…

Smell test? Is that Obama’s raghead loving ass we smell?

You know, those are some things I might say if you baited a post in such a manner.. .

    Just sayin’… 😛

  3. One other thing; if Obama wants to WOO Paultards, pass out doobies and munchies, the sorry sons a bitches will come out like bugs on a warm summer night…

  4. We Paul supporters have watched many of the Republican candidates parroting Paul’s ideas since the beginning of this campaign, so it doesn’t surprise us that Obama, scared of competing with Paul, would do the same.
It will not woo us, either, because Obama has not mentioned anything about auditing the fed, curbing executive “powers”, canceling his disastrous Obamacare which has fed us to the greedy (and ecstatic) insurance companies, and voted for the bailouts instead of allowing market forces to exercise their Darwinian influence on our economy. Our hope and change constitutional scholar president is only speeding the demise of our beloved country while signing our liberties away.
    Ron Paul 2012!!!

    1. So Jasmine, this is the new “Paul supporter” talking point? The candidates are talking about “Pauls ideas”… Um, yeah that’s almost close to the truth but pretty ridiculous on it’s face. For MANY MANY years the R candidate has ALWAYS made the statements that the federal gubmint is too big. It’s what they do. They also rarely fix it. Now, lets look at Paul as the man in charge… How many times has he worked with congress from within to fix it? How many pieces of legislation did he get passed in 30+ years?… Yep 1. My point? Is it all those people in congress that are dead wrong on everything Paul tried to pass or is it Paul is so far out there and such a piss poor leader that he couldn’t get consensus? I’m taking the latter for a thousand Alex…

A POTUS must work with congress and a good leader gains support for his/her ideals through debate and exchange. Where in Paul’s record is that found? His debate skills are abysmal at best. We KNOW what’s messed up. We KNOW what happened in the past and if we could go back and fix those we’d be the smartest people on the planet. We can’t. All Paul has done is point out the obvious, blame everyone else in AMERICA for the problems and simply say STOP this… Uh Okay… Fine then what? Will the skies open and seas part? Where is his foresight? Where is his mention of what will happen when we “Stop” how will he address the issues that arise from us STOPPING.. When a piece of legislation crosses his desk with bi-partisan support that would help our situation and he veto’s it then there’s an overide potential but it’s time wasted. We’ve been wasting time for the last 8 years. What now?… A Paul POTUS will be as bad if not worse than a second term of Obama. Believe it.
