Newt schooling the masses…

Well, I am really shocked. I’m about to say something I thought I’d never say again. Newt Gingrich is the best we got right now. Newt maybe the best hope we have of turning this country around. Somebody slap me!

I have stayed away from NEGATIVELY opining on ANY Republican candidate and to that end I will stay on task.

Newt was on a panel last night in Iowa (The family focus something or other) He was with all the other candidates (Except Romney) I came home last night and watched the replay on the only place I could find it, at RonPaul.com.

This was a stage that favored Santorum and Bachmann. And they both did extremely well. Cain and Perry also did well. Ron Paul… Well, he had a few supporters there. But Newt proved he’s a man among boys last night. I am the epitome of undecided. I’m an independent voter in the truest sense. IF I thought Obama was the best man, I’d vote for him. (Cough, cough, hack, sneeze)

There were the religious questions, and all did fairly well. The meat of the night was when Newt was asked “where have you failed” and he went on a long explanation, without mentioning each failure by name. He told the story masterly and vaguely and won some hearts and minds with the explanation.

Now the attack dogs are coming out on Newt. The attack dogs have sharpened their teeth on a few very young bucks who were crippled by their inexperience. Newt is an old buck who has been through this before. Newt as is evident by last nights event, has LEARNED a lot from the past. The attack dogs need to take heed. They are messing with someone who is very intelligent and extremely ruthless when called to action. To me, those two qualities alone set him apart from EVERYONE else.

If Newt can weather the media storm on the horizon, I will vote for Newt Gingrich. I will absolutely pull the lever with a hopeful vigor I haven’t had since the 80’s. Let me tell you why. Newt has come closer to asking for forgiveness for his errors than any other politician ever. He’s also done EXACTLY what I said at the beginning of this needs to be done. He’s stayed away from attacking other R’s. VERY IMPORTANT you will see how important of a strategy that was in the general election.

I’ve had my favorite candidate switch first place in my book a couple of times. So this is just November, we have a lot of time left to decide WHO the man/woman is we put against Obama. Realize Obama has weapons of mass destruction at his disposal. Whoever we put up is the underdog. The media is Obama’s first line, his pulpit is his second and his race will come third. All of these will make it very difficult to unseat him. The lies have already started. The “headlines” are already written. WE the People can make them re-write them.

Read this headline:

Newt: Fire the janitors, hire kids to clean schools

This is the “Gotcha” paragraph:

“You say to somebody, you shouldn’t go to work before you’re what, 14, 16 years of age, fine. You’re totally poor. You’re in a school that is failing with a teacher that is failing. I’ve tried for years to have a very simple model,” he said. “Most of these schools ought to get rid of the unionized janitors, have one master janitor and pay local students to take care of the school. The kids would actually do work, they would have cash, they would have pride in the schools, they’d begin the process of rising.”

Now can anyone really argue that a kid who is poor goes home and does nothing, is better off than a kid who swept a floor for an hour after school for some cash? Really? And this is the “Gotcha” because the left is so far above working..sheesh.

The fact is Newt is the only one who has had the nuts to say it. It’s a good start. Prisons would be another good place to start. Newt spoke about ABOLISHING the courts who have continuously put their ideology above law and reason. AMEN!

    1. Sarge; Yep I think you’re right. How sad is that?

Fred, I’m not removing my support for Perry just yet. I like the guy. I think the guy would be a great leader. I just don’t know if he’s capable of taking on Obama at this time. I’m letting a couple more days go by before I remove/add anything to my political support side bar. Perry isn’t done yet, but he’s gotta a lot of ground to get back.
