Honor The Fallen
Today is Memorial day. While we’re out BBQ’n and tossing the ball around the park or yard, take a minute to honor the fallen warriors who gave all.
Memorial day is a day when MOST Americans pay their respects to real men and women who died on battlefields from Lexington and Concord, to Ft Sumpter, through Gettysburg, all the way up to today’s Afghanistan…
Memorial day to me is a solemn time. Its a time when I look back in history and realize that men and women were called to make the ultimate sacrifice for their brothers.
Memorial day to me is reflection time. Its a time to look at what great men and women did on the fields of battle.
Memorial day to me is a very proud time. I have blood running through my veins that has the same characteristics as family who charged the enemy at Valley Forge, Antietam, Gettysburg, France TWICE, Germany, Bataan Peninsula, Korea, and Vietnam.
Memorial day to me is a patriotic time. We fly the flag, we say the pledge, we pray for the families of the fallen and we pay tribute to those hero’s who’ve passed.
For all the patriots left in America, your time may yet come to answer a call. Will you? I will.
