Has the world learned anything?

Has the world learned anything?

We have the smell of revolution in the air around the world. There has been ONE semi-successful uprising so far in the middle east. Egypt’s population succeeded in removing it’s leader by peaceful means because their leader was unwilling to strike hard against his opposition.

Libya, Saudi Arabia, Yemen on the other hand are having no such luck. I will ask the important question:

WHY such a different outcome?

The world should have learned how a successful revolution happens. How it’s done RIGHT. It’s not done the way Egypt did it,  although they were successful in removing their leader, they are now very ill prepared to govern themselves and they are going to fall into the religion they so love. It will be the downfall of a once great nation.

America had the last SUCCESSFUL revolution. If you measure success as a BENEFIT for mankind because of the revolution. America took up arms against a tyrant, America fought HARD to win their independence. And once gained, they KNEW what they had won. They decided that not only would they not be ruled by tyrants, but they also would NOT BECOME Tyrants.

The middle east has not learned that lesson. They are all about taking to the streets, but they have no “Next step” planned, nor do they have a leader that garners the respect of the world. NONE of them. So Tyrants will continue to win.

There is a template for Revolution, there is an outline and if followed will produce greatness. IF discarded it will produce failure.

  1. Our Founders — most of them, anyway — viewed the American Revolution not as a revolution but rather as a return to their God-given rights. In believe that our Founders preferred to refer to the struggle for those rights as The War for Independence.

As for the revolutions in the Middle East, the people there are rebelling against their corrupt rulers, but they still will have no rights as we understand that term under shari’a.

I completely agree with you about your point as to the next step.
