Epic MELTDOWN Coming… In Wisconsin. LOL!

Epic MELTDOWN Coming… In Wisconsin. LOL!

I’ve been paying attention to the Wisconsin election. The election between a two candidates for a seat on Wisconsin’s State Supreme Court. One leans right. One falls off the cliff left. The one on the left won if you asked any liberal last night,  But by late afternoon today,  the liberals began crying in their celebration party drinks.

Important Win For The Democrats In Wisconsin

All the precincts have reported in WIsconsin and the “winner” is JoAnne Kloppenburg, who leads State Supreme Court Justice Richard Prosser by 204 votes out of 1,479.976 votes cast.  The margin is so thin that a recount is inevitable.

Whoops… :rotfl:

Evidently some clerk counting votes using an old PC or some abacus lost about 7,000 votes or counted them wrong or didn’t count them at all.. But that’s really not the issue, the issue is the AP. The Associated Press came out with this report:

Democrat Has Tiny Lead in Symbolic Wisconsin Election

JoAnne Kloppenburg has a tiny lead of 204 votes over David Prosser in the incumbent Wisconsin state supreme court judge election widely viewed as a proxy vote over Gov. Scott Walker’s push to curb union power. All precincts are reporting, but the race is so close there’ll likely be a recount, Talking Points Memo’s Eric Kleefeld reports. Almost 1.5 million votes were cast.

Then the gloating on the Democrat side: “It was an epic failure of Governor Walker’s anti-American, Anti-Union, Anti-Middle Class.. yada yada”… It was all over the net and facebook about how this was the start of Unions becoming MORE powerful… Um Not so fast there big boy… HA!

By the afternoon facts started emerging, a clerical error produced a 7,000 plus edge to the David Prosser and the meltdown started.

Wis. corrects vote count, gives incumbent big lead. (I can’t force myself to link them, google it if you want to)

WAUKESHA, Wis. — A conservative incumbent surged to a commanding lead in Wisconsin’s hotly contested Supreme Court election Thursday, after a predominantly GOP county’s clerk announced she had incorrectly entered vote totals in the race seen as a referendum on Republican Gov. Scott Walker’s divisive union rights law. (Emphasis mine)

Wisconsin Supreme Court: Local clerk ‘finds’ over 7,000 votes for Prosser (I can’t force myself to link them, google it if you want to)

The vote totals in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race swung back and forth today, first with incumbent Justice David Prosser taking the lead, then with challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg taking it back by 125 votes.

The latest, and by far most disturbing, development is that a clerk in Wisconsin’s biggest conservative country has suddenly “found” a huge amount of votes for Prosser. JS Online:

UPDATED: Conservative Waukesha County Clerk “Finds” 7,000 Votes For Prosser. (I can’t force myself to link them, google it if you want to)

4:30pm Update: In her press conference about a half-hour ago, Kathy Nickolaus claimed she failed to import the results from Brookfield City into her master tally that was reported to the press. The numbers she reported as an ‘update’ which gave Prosser 7,000 more votes were clearly reported in real time on election night. Sure, sure it was a computer error. (Emphasis mine)

All I’m saying with this post is WATCH the next couple of days.

I’m broke, so take my guns please. WTF?

I’m broke, so take my guns please. WTF?

In lean times SoCal gun owners trade arms for eats

LOS ANGELES

The guns versus butter economic model appears to be tilting in the dairy spread’s favor in one inner city neighborhood, where record numbers of gun owners are giving up their weapons in return for gift cards to buy food and other goods.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department ended its annual Gifts for Guns program in Compton on Sunday, allowing residents to anonymously relinquish firearms in return for $100 gift cards for Ralphs supermarkets, Target department stores or Best Buy electronics stores. People get double that amount for turning in assault rifles.

In years past, Target and Best Buy were the cards of choice, with residents wanting electronic goods and other presents for the holidays. In this recessionary year, however, things are different.

“The majority of the people want the food cards,” said sheriff’s Sgt. Byron Woods. “People just don’t have the money to buy the food these days.”

Authorities said Sunday that a record 965 firearms and two hand grenades were handed in during the two weekends the program was in operation. That’s more than in any other year and easily eclipses last year’s total of 387 guns collected over both weekends.

“One guy said he had just got laid off from his job,” Woods said. “He turned in five guns and said it would really help him to put food on the family’s table.”

In L.A. the gun for cash program was to get the guns out of the gang members hands, what it has done is create a market for theft. The Criminals, steal the guns and get some poor slug to turn it in, then they get the voucher and go buy some bling at Best Buy or wherever. FOOD vouchers have become more requested recently and that is a damn shame.. Gang Killings have not decreased, shootings have not decreased, the only thing that has decreased is the state’s cash flow.

Somethings never cease to amaze me.. You have a rifle, you have a handgun, and you turn them in so you can feed your family? Ok question time ladies and gentlemen: Do you remember the “Fish story” from the below post? IS this not the epitome of nanny state mentality?

What you have done when you turn your guns in to the FEDS or State officials: YOU HAVE ELIMINATED SOME OF YOUR SURVIVAL TOOLS. You have took something that could have saved your life and fed you forever, and traded it for quick food. You get maybe a month worth of food for a weapon, what do you do when that month is over?

This is a damn shame IMO, I honestly thought folks were smarter than this, I would understand if they had more than one gun, traded a POS .22 handgun or something for a fishing pole and a tent, but for a food voucher? It boggles my mind. I don’t care if it’s for baby formula, or medicine, trading in your weapon for food (Or anything else other than a better weapon) is IDIOCY!.

I’ll be holding on to the equipment I need to survive, thank you very much. I may be arrested for poaching to feed my family, I may be arrested for trespassing while removing fruit from trees to feed my family, but I’ll be damn if I’ll be dropping off my guns to feed my family, I’ll shoot or catch what we need… That lasts a lot longer than any damn coupon.

Some thoughts on our nations issues

Some thoughts on our nations issues

Has anyone stopped and thought about how screwed up our nation is right now? I mean this years politics aside, we have got some issues that need fixing.

How about this:
Right now in California we are having to STOP buses carrying kids to school because of the lack of funds in the state coffers. BUT, the Prisons are fully funded and operating normally?

Here’s another one on prisons:

THE ACLU sued the Department of Corrections in Texas because of the use of building tenders. (Inmates that helped control the inmates) in the early 90’s. The ACLU won, and building tenders were removed. That ruling allowed Gangs to control the Texas prison system rather than the guards, that ruling gave the Prison gangs the ability to recruit, intimidate and murder,  And it took away a valuable tool the guards needed to prevent it. For Example; The Texas Syndicate, was able to recruit members and expand the gang. Ask a Texan in Austin about TS And the Mexican Mafia. Both of which cost lives, money and property. Money has to be funneled to the area of the greatest need and when people are dying on the street, it becomes a GREAT NEED. Where does that money come from? THE BUDGET!

In CA similar lawsuits have taken place in order to make the prisoners stay more comfortable. So now, we have to pay additional police and additional guards in prisons, because of the gangs running gangs in and out of prisons. We have to funnel money to pay for healthcare of the prisoners yet our working class has no healthcare? Again BUDGET CASH.

There is no one looking at the unintended consequences of legislation, and it is costing us BIG.

Just thinking out loud I guess…

Schwarzenegger Terminates Trans Fat in Calif.

By MOLLY HUNTER

July 25, 2008 —

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has made it official: California will be the first trans-fat free state in the nation.

All-natural palm, rice and soybean oils will soon be king, and life in the Golden State will be forever altered.

The California legislature pushed the bill through last week, and Schwarzenegger signed it into law Friday, July 25.

The ban will require food providers to begin phasing out trans fat oils by July 1, 2009. Thereafter, noncompliance with the ban will result in fines of up to $1,000.

Trans unsaturated fatty acids are the partially hydrogenated oils that result from a chemical process producing solid fats with a longer shelf life.

These so-called “trans fats” were once thought to be healthier than butter, but research in the last decade has shown that they are much more harmful to health than had been believed. According to the American Heart Association, trans unsaturated fatty acids are medically proven to increase the risk of coronary heart disease by raising bad cholesterol (LDL) levels and reducing good cholesterol levels (HDL).

With more than half a million Americans dying each year from heart disease, the switch may be coming not a moment too soon.

This ban comes on the heels of the New York City’s prohibition on trans fats in restaurants, which took full effect on July 1. But the wheels began turning in California before the Big Apple’s eateries sought substitutes for their deep fryers.

Tiburon, a northern California town of about 8,700 people, has boasted trans fat-free restaurants since 2004. All 18 restaurants turned away, rather effortlessly and voluntarily, from partially hydrogenated oils at the urging of a lawyer, Steven Joseph, and his task force at bantransfats.com.

“The change has been very well received by our customers,” said Carl Peschlow, owner of Sweden House Bakery in Tiburon. “Those so-called bad fats do, however, give our croissants a little oomph.”

Peschlow said that while his bakery made the change relatively early, they still use a “tiny bit” of trans fat in their croissant recipe. Otherwise, Peschlow said, “the croissants just look like fat pancakes.”

When New York City turned its attention to trans fats, they looked to Joseph’s Project Tiburon for guidance. Joseph, a California transplant from Washington D.C., also led the fight against Kraft in 2003, asking the food giant to “cease and desist marketing and selling Oreo cookies to children in the State of California” until the popular chocolate sandwich cookie contained zero trans fats.

Kraft caved and has since become a leader in the industry, reducing or eliminating trans fats in 650 of its products. “Clearly that’s what people wanted and that’s what they care about,” said Susan Davison, Kraft’s director of corporate affairs.

Joseph and his team also prompted McDonalds to re-think its use of trans fats, and today Wendy’s has gone completely trans fat-free. (California staple In-N-Out Burger has never used trans fats since opening in 1948.)

The California Restaurant Association along with other organizations has led the charge against the ban, claiming that many restaurants are making the shift without the government’s help.

Chains including Taco Bell, Denny’s, Burger King, Olive Garden, El Pollo Loco and Red Lobster have voluntarily pledged to fully or partially eliminate trans fats in their kitchens.

Here we go again, cell phones, cigarettes, trans-fats what’s next? Might be Guns? hell they are already harder to get here for the “LAW Abiding citizens” than anywhere else in the country. BUT, to get one off the street is fairly simple, I could load my house with a variety of firearms in a matter of days because of the folks I know, NOT LEGALLY, but I could.

When we allow this intrusion, this type of nanny state politics we can’t take it back, there will not be a “Trans-fat” overturn or a cell phone overturn, and when they add stronger gun laws that have proven NOT to have decreased gun crimes, they have not overturned or decreased those laws in any way.

This is typical liberal idiocy IMO, we make the manufacturers or food chains put the information out there about their product, either on wrappers or menu’s the information about trans-fats is all over the place but in moderation like anything else it is acceptable and will not kill you, the key is “Moderation” and liberals seem to think they need to make that decision for you.

Funny liberals are the ones crying the loudest about lost liberties.

Mark my words folks, this is just the start of more laws, federal and state. YOU all will be dealing with the Nanny state mentality.

Arm and Ammo up.
