The more I looked into this legislation the more I don’t like it. The worst part? It was the “R’s” who designed it… One man who actually co-sponsored it, Marco Rubio (R-Fla) actually pulled his support after the outrage took. For that I give Marco Rubio high marks for his character and his commitment to listening to his people. He made an error and fixed it while accepting the blame for his error in judgement. Kudos. Now don’t let it happen again and keep up the fight.
Other than that the protest IMO was a huge failure. It was half assed poorly organized and ridiculously minimal in it’s point. I participated in solidarity with my fellow bloggers who went dark in protest and I have no regrets. From what I understand here’s how the protest turned Marco Rubio’s mind around:
Marco Rubio went to Wikipedia and it was dark, he was upset. He went to Reddit and he was annoyed, he went to a few high profile blogs who were dark and got angered. Then he tried to visit A&P and lost it!

With the media focused on Hurricane Irene and “Where’s Waldo Kadaffy” The crisis manager in the White House has a golden opportunity again to exert his will. I don’t have a warm fuzzy feeling about Speaker Boehner not caving to the pressure from the bully pulpit. He’s caved once already and got NOTHING for it.
What is different this time? Well, it seems our congress critters (The Freshmen) are united in their stance of NO TAXES. However; We’ve all seen that a “Fee” isn’t a tax (At least in California) so what do you think happens next?
Let me help, this will be the media’s reporting of the debt negotiations:
You, the right wing extremists want old people to die in the streets, you want the mentally challenged to be wandering in the desert, you want kids to be uneducated, you want the poor to be homeless, you want the homeless to die…. It’s YOU the evil republicans that are heartless heathens.
Now, hearing that when you are in control of the debate is not helpful. When the media pounds that down the throats of Americans it brings out the mother instinct in many. I challenge ALL of you to fight that urge. I challenge all of you to look at the truth not the spin.
The truth is the Republicans want JOBS for Americans. WE want EVERYONE ABLE to contribute to this nation. We EXPECT every able bodied American to contribute to our economy and our nation. We want people that have paid into the system to have a system they paid into when they need it. We expect responsible government and we expect our leaders to make decisions based on facts not on spin.
We the PEOPLE want to care for those who CAN NOT care for themselves. We don’t want to create nor support ANYONE that by their choices have become a drain on our nation. WE want Americans to WORK for a better future, NOT depend on a government for that future. We have NO Responsibility to care for welfare for life families, illegal immigrants, drug users, criminals or any other slug in our society. WE the people demand a change from “Dependence” to INDEPENDENCE!
We want our nation to thrive because of our work ethic, abilities, drive and desire for better. Not to be held back by our “Desire for free stuff”
The biggest drain on our debt is about to be the latest FREE STUFF Obama has put on us. OBAMACARE! Not one mention in either press conference about this ridiculous program that is killing jobs on an epic scale.
9.2% unemployment is draining our debt. Those are TAXPAYERS that are not contributing because of DEMOCRAT POLICIES. IF those people were working our revenues would be up. PERIOD.
On Tuesday, the Boeing Company will be heading to the NLRB’s kangaroo court in Seattle, Washington to be prosecuted by an agency controlled by pro-union extremists. The outcome, as far as the NLRB hearing is concerned, is already a foregone conclusion. The hearing is a procedural nuisance that Boeing will have to endure to eventually have its case heard in the federal courts—which is likely where the case will end up, barring any “face-saving” settlement negotiated with the union and the NLRB.
What this boils down to is the right of a company to be profitable. IF a company decides it’s too expensive to do business in one state and decide they can move and make more money, the government can stop them. Um NO. This is not the American way.
Boeing should say fine. And shut their doors on ALL of their plants. Move to Mexico or Europe or wherever. Boeing employs about 76K and about 150k directly related to Boeing in the state of Washington. It’s time for business to say okay, enough. Shut Down. The government can’t tell you to stay in business. Shut them down.
This is the same tactic I’d like to see EVERY Business use in this environment. I’d like to see MORE and MORE business shut down over the regulations/taxes and government over reach. Shut them down, lay off your employees and save your cash. Once we get a change from anti-business to Pro-business in our government, and institute some COMMON SENSE solutions to our economic woes, perhaps a grand opening of all would be warranted.
As of right now the “Youth” in our nation are somewhat appeased. Gays in the military, Spending more money on welfare programs, illegals not being rounded up and deported, college tuition’s still being covered, they can stay on their parents healthcare plans while they “Find themselves”… All because of Obama and his minions… But when his time passes (Hopefully in 2012) All bets are off.
Egypt’s uprising was led by the youth movement as well as several offshoot groups of religious sentiment. Also the extreme socialists and communists of the world helped them fill the square…. In America it wouldn’t be much different.
Ever since the 60’s students and socialists occupied the same turf for protests, Communism was very underground but present in many protests over the years. During the Bush years some of those protests were very large, mostly because of the addition of “la Raza” and “ANSWER” organizing….Not to mention the MSM as their message carrier.
Let me give you a scenario that may not be far off:
2012, a CONSERVATIVE POTUS, and a Republican controlled Congress gets elected… It spends the first month in office UNSCREWING America and the students/Communists/Socialists/Labor Unions/ANSWER/La Raza/Code Pink/George Sorros et al, don’t like it. The MSM as usual carries the Democrats water and gets ALL the lefty loony organizations in a flutter… They put 2 million demonstrators on the national mall protesting and calling for the POTUS to step down….It’s broadcast all over the world as “America in revolution” Students, labor unions go on a national strike…
What do those of us on the Right do?
In Egypt, a country of 82 Million, less than one million dictated their future. The Squeaky wheel gets the grease….
I suggest EVERYONE on the right side of the aisle politically, keep enough cash on hand to allow you to travel to DC to have YOUR voice heard if the above scenario happens.
We will need to stand together against these progressive idiots or we risk following in France’s footsteps. France, by the way is seeing the error of their ways but it’s far too late to change back…We do not want that future, but that’s the one we are going to get.

We spend more money than any other industrialized nation on education, why are our kids so stupid? Here’s a thought, the education system is run by elitist liberal DEMOCRATS, so how do you keep DEMOCRATS in power? You keep the voting public stupid.

If you read this weekend’s New York Times’ hit job on would-be Speaker John Boehner and his “lobbyist friends,” you might think, as the reporter clearly thinks, that John Boehner is cozier with lobbyists than most powerful politicians are.
But did you know:
* Nancy Pelosi has raised almost twice as much money from lobbyists this election as Boehner has?
* At least 18 House Democrats have raised more lobbyist cash this election than Boehner has.
* Chuck Schumer and Harry Reid have pocketed more lobbyist cash in the past 18 months than Boehner has raised in the past 6 elections, combined?

Here’s the fact: Pelosi and Reid have got more money from special interest groups than any other pair in congress EVER, the only difference is the media gives them a pass.
I want people to look at Pelosi’s congress, look at the ethics violations, the back room deals the bribery and outright LIES told to the American people over the last 4 years. 4 Years mind you, not 2.
Personally I’d rather have another speaker of the house besides John Boehner. I’d rather see Allen West take that gavel. But it is what it is. Boehner would be heads and tails better than the current hag in the house.
Drug Cartel Violence, Where have we seen it before?
CUERNAVACA, Mexico – CUERNAVACA, Mexico (AP) — The decapitated bodies of four men were hung from a bridge Sunday in this central Mexican city besieged by fighting between two drug lords.
A gang led by kingpin Hector Beltran Leyva took responsibility for the killings in a message left with the bodies, the attorney general’s office of Morelos state said in a statement.
The beheaded and mutilated bodies were hung by their feet early Sunday from the bridge in Cuernavaca, a popular weekend getaway for Mexico City residents.
Cuernavaca has become a battleground for control of the Beltran Leyva cartel since its leader, Arturo Beltran Leyva, was killed there in a December shootout with marines.
Mexican authorities say the cartel split between a faction led by Hector Beltran Leyva, brother of Arturo, and another led by Edgar Valdez Villarreal, a U.S.-born kingpin known as “the Barbie.”
The message left with the bodies threatened: “This is what will happen to all those who support the traitor Edgar Valdez Villarreal.”
Authorities said the four men had been kidnapped days earlier. The family of one of the men reported the abduction to police.
Lets see, we’ve seen car bombings, beheadings and now we get the trademark “Hang em from a bridge” strategy..Please tell me again liberal douchebags why should we not be concerned? When this occurs thousands of miles away, across a vast ocean and only OUR soldiers or Mercs, it’s a minor problem huh? This however; is occurring in our back yard so to speak. With our borders wide open, our leaders refusing to recognize the threat and our population with their heads firmly up their asses. I’m extremely surprised bodies are not hanging from the Golden Gate. (It’s early yet)
When this violence spills across the border in a major fashion, how we the tolerant left deal with those of us calling for a get tough action? We will be racists….
The other thing folks need to look at is the strategy itself. It’s TERROR. It’s intimidation and it’s brutal to strike fear in opposition. Do we cower? Some do, but MOST Americans will be ready to take up arms and meet this challenge. IF the feds don’t fix it, and continue to treat US as the enemy, a war within is all but assured.
Where did this tactic of intimidation originate? The middle east. At least 10 different reports have made their way around intelligence circles warning of radical islamic cowards migrating to Mexico. WHY? Well they are BROWN, they blend in, and they share a common goal. Death of the USA. They are experiencing a “Teachable moment” on our southern flank, and because our overly PC culture we Americans are watching our demise with popcorn in hand…Sad aint it?
