Progressive’s Heads EXPLODING!

Progressive’s Heads EXPLODING!

Paul Ryan has done exactly what Sarah Palin did in 2008. And that’s not where the comparison ends. Some folks hate Sarah Palin (My most bestest bud TexasFred can be counted in that camp) Some folks Lover her like a fat kid loves cake. I fall in between the two extremes.

In 08, Sarah energized the base and gave some of us some hope that Obama wouldn’t win. It was a fleeting emotion. Very soon after Palin’s RNC speech (Which by the way was absolutely AWESOME) The media went into full on attack mode. Not just the Democrat spin machine, but the “SUPPOSEDLY UNBIASED NEWS MEDIA.” as well.

Not objectifying at all…sigh.

This is about where the comparison ends.

While Sarah Palin was Governor of a state, she had limited exposure to DC and she was sheltered from media scrutiny until her launch in 08. Ryan on the other hand has been vilified, demonized, castigated and the victim of media’s BIAS for a very long time. He’s still standing in his position.

Sarah Palin was by all accounts raped by the media and left for dead out in the back of a bowling alley. Partly because of her responses to questions, partly because of the GOP’s lack of support for her, Partly because of us believing what we heard from a very biased media. Paul Ryan will not go out like Sarah Palin.

I say all that to get to the meat of the situation:

Romney is by all accounts a bit of a RINO. He’s NOT most conservatives first or last choice. He’s NOT the version of conservatism we would like to see. Of Course the version we’d like to see is a mixture of Ted Nugent, Joe Arpaio and Allen West with a dash of John Bolton, but that’s not going to happen. We are also realists and we know Romney is the last chance to remove the cancer the GOP let infest this country.

I say that to get to this:

I do think Romney is a bit better than McCain as far as conservatism goes. Not much, but better. I was very concerned about his 2nd Amendment stance. With the Paul Ryan pick, and Ted Nugent’s support, those worries are now gone. I’m all in with this ticket and happy about my vote going to a leadership team with real ideas and solutions not slogans and false promises.

Job Picture worsens…

Job Picture worsens…

Who could have predicted such a disaster? Well, pretty much every Conservative on Planet earth. The fact is, the results of the very policies which Obama and Co. push are visible in places like Greece, Spain, France and closer to home California.

Unemployment numbers (Unexpectedly) Go Up

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Job growth braked sharply in May and the unemployment rate rose for the first time in 11 months, putting pressure on the Federal Reserve to ease monetary policy further to shore up the sputtering recovery.
Employers added a paltry 69,000 jobs to their payrolls last month, the least since May of last year, the Labor Department said on Friday. In addition, 49,000 fewer jobs were created in the prior two months than had been thought and the jobless rate rose to 8.2 percent from 8.1 percent in April.
The report is troubling news for President Barack Obama, whose prospects of winning re-election in November could hinge largely on the health of the economy.

Now for those of you paying attention:

In 2010 it was “George Bush’s fault the economy was bad and we’re in a Recovery Summer” and “Our Policies are working”

In 2011 it was “Our policies are working, but not as fast as we would like. George Bush’s recession was worse than we expected”

Now it’s “George Bush’s fault”…

That’s it. That’s all they have. The policies of this administration are so out of touch that they can’t fathom the fact that they’re failing. And when they fail, WE SUFFER. It hasn’t stopped the Queen from vacations, or the King from golfing more in 3 years than any POTUS before him.

Yeah I’ll be voting for Mitt Romney in 2012. Any American who has paid attention to this abysmal stuttering clusterfuck of a miserable failure POTUS better do the same. Romney may not turn this ship around fully, but I’ll bet he’s at least going to stop the ship from hitting the ice berg.

Hitchin My Wagon…sigh.

Hitchin My Wagon…sigh.

I’ve done this a couple times already.

I supported and led in some small part the effort to draft Allen West for POTUS in 2012. Failed.

I supported Perry when he first came onto the scene as a Candidate. I would still gladly vote for Perry but I’m not sure anymore that he can beat Obama. He can run on his record in Texas, but his inexperience dealing with DC, the media and the liberal attack machine that expects way more from an R than they do a D is troubling.

I supported Santorum and as with Perry I’d still gladly vote for the man. I think his social views align well with mine, he’s got some areas he needs to fix but he is a better public speaker than Perry and he also has some experience issues to contend with…

Now, I’ll be backing Newt Gingrich. I never thought I’d say that after his Pelosi-couch ad, and his other baggage. But I think I’ve come to terms with his explanations/apologies for some of the issues I had with him. I don’t really like the way he’s approaching the Illegal Immigration angle but it’s a more REALITY based idea than ANY of the others have.

I will not be going to other blogs and dropping the Ron Paul/Rick Perry supporter tactics of annoyance. I’m simply stating that IMO Newt is the best we have at the moment.

Newt has something that comes across well on camera. He has statesmanship, a leadership quality that has been missing for a long time. Newt has a personna that is an AMERICA FIRST and YOU know when he is talking he speaking from a position of American Strength. Newt would never go abroad and apologize, Newt would be putting our nations future foremost in his actions. He considers himself the George Washington of our time and as of right now I think we need one.

We are in a battle for our very existence and if we lose this battle WE will cease to be America. Newt’s not the best we got, he’s the best we got running now.

I would like for the GOP and the others who are running to just drop out now. Leave Mitt, Newt, Perry and Paul to battle it out from here to election day. The “Also Rans” are taking up time with no value added results.

GOP Debate: Who won?

GOP Debate: Who won?

IF I had to pick a winner…. I’d say OBAMA won.

Obama won because NOBODY this morning is talking about the way forward set by any candidate last night. Nobody is talking about Obama’s leadership skills, solyndra, the fast and furious/gunwalker scandal, the economy, jobs, over regulation, businesses being invaded for political reasons… Nope we’re talking about Perry and Romney’s pissing match and a one line zinger from a no chance candidate.

Yep Obama won last night. So by extension America LOST.

Nobody is talking about how China is our landlord either. Nobody is talking about how the nation is headed for collapse because of the democrat policies since 2006…Nobody is talking about WHERE we are headed if Obama gets another term.

Obama won last night and he did it without any help from the media.

Lets build the perfect GOP 2012 Candidate.

Lets build the perfect GOP 2012 Candidate.

Since I’m seriously unhappy about the current field of the GOP Presidential race. I thought I’d take a shot and finding GOOD things about them and trying to mold a perfect candidate.

Let’s start with Mitt Romney: His best assets are he’s well known, his experience and his appearance.

Newt Gingrich: Um, well he’s very well known. He’s also got a lot of connections in the beltway.

Ron Paul: His fiscal discipline is pretty much unrivaled in his votes, his disgust for the fed.

Herman Cain: His business sense, his stance on Israel, his newness.

Tim Pawlenty: His experience, his record, his stance on Abortion.

Gary Johnson: Um… Well.. There’s….Um… Whew. Can’t find much positive there.

Tom Miller: Well he’s a career flight attendant, and he wants small government.

Rick Santorum: He’s a good speaker, seems to be pretty articulate and knows the issues.

For shits and giggles lets throw in some “Potential” candidates:

Michelle Bachman: A woman, a staunch conservative, fiscal hawk and pro Israel.

John Bolton: Experienced in REAL WORLD affairs, tough on anti-Israel opponents

Paul Ryan: Fiscally superior to ALL in the running right now. Smart and articulate.

Sarah Palin: Female, HOT, Very pro-military, very pro-Israel, pro-second Amendment, Pro Hunting.

Rick Perry: Pro 2nd Amendment, Good record running Texas, is a Texan.

Now lets build the perfect candidate:

The perfect candidate would have ALL the best parts of the above with NONE of the baggage or record of idiocy that some of these have.

The perfect candidate would be:

A very hot, well known, Jewish black woman gynecologist who ran her own business, sports  a gray mustache and perfect black hair, was a very articulate speaker, against abortion, was pro-second Amendment, was born in Texas, hunted big game, traveled the world,  and had several connections in DC…

Needless to say that is not going to happen so the best we can hope for is the one person I left off the list. Allen West.

One things for sure, if we wait for the perfect conservative candidate we’ll be always waiting. IF we don’t pick a decent one Obama will get 4 more years to destroy 200 years worth of progress…. 3rd world nation status is assured if Obama gets another term.

2012 Republican Election Field expands…

2012 Republican Election Field expands…

But not ONE of them have my full undying support. Very Very Sad.

I love the “Pre-campaign” speeches, they are saying all the right things… But I’m a seriously disenfranchised voter. I’m a disgusted voter, I’m an angry voter.

Herman Cain entered the race today. Good. We need more in the running. Because the current crop SUCKS. When a 2 yr old child puts his hand on the stove and burns his hand he learns real quick DON’T DO THAT AGAIN. I wish the American people were smarter than 2 year olds.

I don’t want “Moderation” anymore. I don’t want “Compromise” anymore, I don’t give a good damn about “Working with the other side” the other side has proven their skills, their ideals, and their direction is an utter failure. WHY COMPROMISE? Kids need discipline and the democrats need a time out.

IF we can’t get a better crop of candidates in 2012 for POTUS, we will have to push for majorities in the Senate and hope to hold the gains in the house. IF we have veto over ride power in congress then Obama can’t affect too much “Change/Ruin” That may be the only hope we have as I see it.

Ron Paul does it again… LOSING.

Ron Paul Says He Would Not Have Ordered Bin Laden Raid…

(Briefing Room) — Likely GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul said this week he would not have authorized the mission that killed Osama bin Laden, raising concerns about international law.

Paul, a congressman from Texas with a libertarian bent, said that he would have rather worked with the Pakistani government to track down the al Qaeda leader responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

When asked by Iowa radio station WHO if he would have ordered the mission, in which U.S. forces raided bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan, Paul said “Not the way it took place, no.”

As WZ said “For a guy who gets it right on so many domestic spending issues he couldn’t be more wrong when it comes to foreign policy.”

And in order to be considered a viable candidate you must portray a common sense approach to foreign Policy Issues. Agree or disagree with Obama about ordering the killing of UBL, but I can’t see or WANT to see anyone in the office of POTUS that would have NOT ordered the hit. UBL killed 3000 people in one day on 9-11-2001. I wish we could kill him every day for 3,000 days.

Paul just put a dagger in his own back for his latest dumbassery. If Paul is the best the right can do Obama gets 4 more years. Paul, Romney, Trump, Palin, Etc…. 20013 will be the end game of our “Experiment in self rule”….

Libertarians, listen up.

Libertarians, listen up.

I’ve given a lot of thought to the “Libertarian” viewpoint. I usually do when Ron Paul’s name comes up. I’m sure it’s purely coincidental that its only around election time…

I’ve heard Ron Paul’s view on our Military, our liberty, our nations spending spree and while I agree with Paul on his spending spree sentiments I have a real problem with his “Liberty” views as well as some of his “Military industrial complex” beliefs.

Let’s start with his “American Liberty” views:

Ron Paul is of the mindset that making drugs legal would reduce the costs to the nation because we’d quit housing drug users/dealers in our prisons and we could then tax the product, which would increase Government revenue. Now, I’m not saying that’s a moonbat approach but I will say it’s dumber than dirt.

I think Ron Paul would have been great to have in power back in the early days of America. If  he would have stayed in power through the 1900’s, perhaps his views might not have been seen as so ridiculous. The problem is the genie will not go back in the bottle easily.

The biggest problem with Ron Paul’s position on “Freedom” is there are too many Americans that can’t handle TRUE Liberty. And unless you are willing to outlaw the ACLU and the entire judicial system for about 20 years, Ron Paul’s “vision” is unrealistic. Ron Paul’s entire structure of America revolves around letting people do what they want to do as long as it doesn’t affect OTHERS, but he doesn’t expound about his plan to deal with those who infringe on OTHERS rights.

A simple analogy. A guy up river from you dumps his waste in the river, that’s your drinking water, how do you feel about your neighbors rights to use the river?

What you don’t hear from Ron Paul is consequences. The consequences for actions that step on the rights of others is a big issue with me. For example: If you’re dumb enough to want to sit out on the street and shoot heroin, fine be my guest. It’s called thinning the herd as far as I’m concerned. BUT what about the businesses on that street? What about the home values in the area? What about the kids that have to walk by that idiot on the way to school? What about the crimes this guy commits to get his drugs? Do the people in the area not have rights too? Where do you draw the line?
