Bush Commutes the sentences of two WRONGLY CONVICTED BORDER AGENTS!

On his last full day in office, President Bush commuted the controversial sentences of two former Border Patrol agents convicted of shooting a Mexican drug runner in 2005.

The imprisonment of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean had sparked outcry from critics who said the men were just doing their jobs and were punished too harshly. They had been sentenced to 11- and 12-year sentences, respectively.

Their sentences will now expire on March 20 of this year.

In March Ignacio Ramos and Alonso Compean will be able to say “FREE AT LAST” Finally Bush removed his head from his ass, did anyone hear the giant “POPPING SOUND”?

    He got his buddy *Scooter* out but left Ramos and Compean sitting?? Really good timing by Mr. Bush, legacy building much or did you have a crisis of conscience?

    Either way, it took ya long enough…

    As for the two border patrol agents.. he SHOULD have “PARDONED” them instead of commuting their sentences. That still shows he thinks they were guilty as hell, but he’s gonna be a nice guy (god love him)and commute their sentences if they promise to not disrupt johnny suttons drug flow again. :fingerwag:

      1. Oh Sure Fred, use CNN when it suits ya…LOL, yeah Libby got spared, so did the border agents, Bush is gone, Obama is in charge yada yada…enjoy the indifference for a couple of days but real soon we will see why OBAMA was NOT The guy for the job.

        1. Actually, I DO use CNN, and FOX, ABC, REUTERS, NBC, CBS, Breitbart, lots of em, that was what pissed off that old bitch Gayle, I used ALL sources… Not just FOX and NEWS-MAX…

          CNN was the 1st one that popped up on the Google search, I am NOT feeling good at all and I really didn’t want to put a lotta work into it…

          I gotta tell you, ALL the NEWS people have some brown on their noses after today too, I swear, Charles Gibson at ABC would have give Obama a blow job if he could have, I think that was why I have been sick all day…

          2. Absolutely.. But, like always, you can check numerous sources and glean information from several sources and form a reasonably well founded opinion..

            Ya can’t tell *some* people that though… I looked in on Amy Proctors POS, she is STILL holding out, I guess GWB’s stuff is *good to the last drop*… Gayle was pretty much there too, not quite as adamant as Amy, but Amy is a lot younger, she can generate a strong vacuum!! :greensmiles:

  5. Just so everyone understands, a Pardon was not available to President Bush for three reasons:

    1. They have not exhausted all legal avenues (per the DoJs requirements),
    2. They have not served a minimum of 5 years (per the DoJs requirments),
    3. A Pardon would be an admission of guilt.

    Points one and two make Mark Riche’s Pardon from Clinton that much more absurd and sickening.

    Ramos and Campeon are still appealing their cases, only now, they get to do it from their homes. Bush did the right thing, and a great way to go out.
