A Lesson in Progressive Leadership: Oakland Style.

A Lesson in Progressive Leadership: Oakland Style.

So there was another violent outbreak of unrest and victimhood in Oakland CA this weekend… What’s the total? about 5k arrested since this class war started?  Nowhere in the nation is the lesson in progressive leadership so perfect as it is in Oakland:

Late last year, the OWS idiots stormed the ports, vandalized businesses and there was an incident where a useful idiot Adam Kokesh was sacrificed to “Victim” status to gain sympathy for their movement. It didn’t work. Then the Mayor berated the Oakland PD for their response to the rioters, and issued a statement that read in part: (Bold emphasis is MINE)

Mayor Quan:

We support the goals of the Occupy Wall Street movement: we have high levels of unemployment and we have high levels of foreclosure that makes Oakland part of the 99% too. We are a progressive city and tolerant of many opinions. We may not always agree, but we all have a right to be heard.

I want to thank everyone for the peaceful demonstration at Frank Ogawa Park tonight, and thank the city employees who worked hard to clean up the plaza so that all activities can continue including Occupy Wall Street. We have decided to have a minimal police presence at the plaza for the short term and build a community effort to improve communications and dialogue with the demonstrators.

99% of our officers stayed professional during difficult and dangerous circumstances as did some of the demonstrators who dissuaded other protestors from vandalizing downtown and for helping to keep the demonstrations peaceful. For the most part, demonstrations over the past two weeks have been peaceful. We hope they continue to be so.

I want to express our deepest concern for all of those who were injured last night, and we are committed to ensuring this does not happen again. Investigations of certain incidents are underway and I will personally monitor them.

We understand and recognize the impact this event has had on the community and acknowledge what has happened. We cannot change the past, but we are committed to doing better. (Source)

So what she said there opened the door for this weekend. The OWS idiots felt they had a foothold in the city leadership. So ladies and Gentlemen appeasement of violent thugs who are the soldiers of the lefty ideology results in some damage?… How could that be… But it’s the tea party that is the problem… sigh.

  1. And here is MY response to the issue, which I originally wrote to TF:

Let me make this comment clearly and succinctly, so that no one misunderstands me.

I am currently in law enforcement, and I am a supervisor — a Sergeant — in Patrol in my department. I work for a large 2,000+ officer department in the central valley of Fornicalia. I have been the department’s Rangemaster and EVOC Supervisor, as well as a Communications Supervisor. I am 61 years old, with 40 years in law enforcement; 32 full time years with my department, 9 months with another Fornicalia department and prior service with the FBI and as a DUSM.

If OWS comes into my area, I will tell my troops to stand down. If OWS moves into a building, I will stand down. This society, this civilization needs to suffer for its stupidity. If various agencies, entities, cities, governments, can’t or won’t put a cap on OWS, then it is clear that these people don’t want, need or deserve my service and that of my troops. If my troops are exposed to lawsuits by dint of enforcing the written law, but the spirit of the community makes them, MY people, the Bad Guys, then my people are going to stand down and watch. Upon MY orders.

I will NOT, I repeat, NOT have MY people subjected to lawsuits by the dregs of society and the administrative dirtbags, scrotes and legal fuckheads who support them.

THIS is my immediate line. And I have drawn it. I can’t be more clear than this.

You want these people unrestrained? You want no police response? You GOT it.”
