If there IS one thing McCain understands, it’s the military. With him in the White House, the tacit condonation, the “standing by” while things like this occur would be OVER. Some say that, with regards to illegal immigration, for example, that the president “can’t do much.” On this and any other issue, I say BULLSHIT. The US President possesses the biggest Bully Pulpit imagineable. We need people strong and sufficiently COMMITTED to SPEAK UP when things like this occur. It is NO coincidence that, when Bush actually dared to SPEAK UP and become agitated and angry over events that damaged or could potentially damage the United States, his “approval ratings” CLIMBED.

With this new ticket, I think Palin is sufficiently strong to be injecting her views into McCain’s ear constantly.

We damage our military, and treat them like COPS, only to our ultimate detriment.

What if we held a war and NO ONE volunteered, as no one wanted to be micromanaged and then prosecuted?

Might this not be the Hard Left’s goal?
