@NEICE: I hope you will come back and offer your opinion Neice, I really appreciate the way you handled the conversation, it was IMO a much better way than a large part of the “Black” readers that visited this post.

I don’t moderate my comment area for the most part, mostly because sometimes it is WAY to time consuming. I have some filters and a few things I try to not let in, but every once in awhile we read the “lower dredges of society” commenting here and else where, I suggest you not base any opinions of ANY site owners based on their comment area.

That is exactly MY FEELING too, no matter what US white folks do we are subjected to the stereotypes of racists, because some of us are not willing to sit back and listen to BET and all the other Black menu items without saying something about “WHY NO WHITE REPRESENTATION?”
I want to see WHITE HISTORY MONTH, I want to see WHITE History clubs, I want to see all the same shit BLACKS get.. I understand it was a necessary thing back in the 50’s and 60’s and even a little of the 70’s BUT it is 2008 and it is time to remove all aspects of a persons race if you TRULY want equality, if you are not able to accept that then YOU are part and parcel the problem.

Hey Robert who said I was offended by your post? I understand that you are only trying to give whites a medium to express their veiws and opinions and that is fine by me. But you know just like I do that whenever you open up a discussion of this nature it is oftentimes like opening up a big bag of worms. My response was invoked by the individual who implied that hard work had NOTHING to do with how far stephanie has gotten. According to him she apparently got a “free ride.”

You say you give people props for their accomplishments regardless of color and that is well and dandy but you know like I know that some whites just plain hate us period. I’ve been on other posts where whites have called us ugly, ignorant, stupid, lazy, irresponsible, good for nothing, monkeys, criminal, and the list goes on. If they had their way they would see ALL of us good and bad thrown off the face of the Earth. I’m not saying that the black community doesn’t have its problems. God knows it does. I’ll be the first to admit that. But how do think hearing these things makes us honest, hard-working blacks feel? Naturally one get’s defensive and somewhat angry to hear such hateful things. This is in large part why some blacks tend to lash out at whites because we are tired of feeling like lower, second-class citizens. I’m not saying its right because it isn’t, but it is human nature. Yes some whites will accept us when we take reponsibility for ourselves but some will hate us no matter what we do. That is real!

You obviously haven’t been around here much, I have heaped praise on those of WHATEVER color exemplify responsibility, hard work and handling their business with out using the “Race, gender, or whatever card” I believe that all things are possible with the desire to do for yourself and be better, I believe the victim mentality is EASY, and it is a sink hole.
I pulled myself out of the gutter, I know it can be done, I know that it is possible to raise a family in a house of love, rules and respect. I know it’s possible with out the gubmint cheese that folks cant seem to get off of.
The show BLACK in America” was offensive to ME I am a white man, and I was offended. You have a problem with it? now look how you are offended at my White in America post. You cant have it both ways…

I appreciate stephanie’s honesty but she’s wasting her breath. Some whites love to talk about how they just can’t win with us ungrateful negros but that goes both ways. No matter how hard a black person works, how intelligent, educated, or successful they are in some white people’s eyes he or she is still a no good, lazy, IGNORANT as one person called her, unworthy nigger who only got where they are because they got a “free ride” at some poor more deserving white person’s expense. Whites love to take the worst of the worst of our race, the druggies, welfare mothers, criminals, and use them as a measuring stick by which to judge all of us which it that much harder for the honest hard-working members of our race to gain any real respect. Look at Obama. Whether you agree with his policies or not this man is Harvard educated, well spoken, successful, but in their eyes he’s still just a nigger who wants to take over America and give other niggers a free ride despite the number of times he has spoken about the importance of HARD WORK and family values.
