Study finds 11% drop in illegal immigrants
Conservatives hail the report as proof Bush’s controversial policy of enforcement via workplace raids is working.

WASHINGTON — A report Wednesday indicating a marked decline in the number of illegal immigrants in the U.S. fueled a widening national debate over the Bush administration’s policy of immigration enforcement through aggressive workplace raids.

The largest such enforcement action was in May in Postville, Iowa, where federal immigration agents descended on a meatpacking plant and arrested nearly 400 workers later detained in a building used to house cattle.

The administration began aggressively enforcing workplace laws after Congress last year failed to pass an immigration overhaul. In the months since, thousands of workers have been arrested in scores of raids.

Conservatives have applauded the tactics, while critics have pointed to mistaken arrests of U.S. citizens, deaths of immigrants in detention and limited scrutiny of managers who recruit and hire them.

However, evidence that the strategy may have succeeded in reducing the number of illegal immigrants was presented in a report Wednesday by a group favoring tighter curbs on all forms of immigration.
The report by the Center for Immigration Studies, a Washington-based think tank, says that the number of illegal immigrants fell about 11% between last August and May, from 12.5 million to 11.2 million.

The study was based on an analysis of census data and concludes that if that rate of decline is sustained, the number of illegal immigrants will be halved in five years.

Steve A. Camarota, the center’s research director, acknowledged that the economy played a role in the decline but said that several factors pointed to enforcement as key. For instance, the legal immigrant population continues to grow, while the fall-off in illegal immigrants began even before unemployment began rising.

“It seems that increased enforcement has played a significant role,” Camarota said.

Who would have thought actually enforcing the laws of the land would lead to a reduction in the crime the laws were designed to prevent? Not me heavens no, LMAO.

How about this, a two pronged attack.. Build the damned fence, shut down the ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION FLOOD all together and then discuss how to deal with the 12 to 30 million Illegals already here. UNTIL THE BORDER IS SEALED No Discussion at all.

Woman With Ties to White Supremacists Represents School for Blacks and Hispanics

A Florida woman who has been married to both the former head of the Ku Klux Klan and the creator of a notorious white supremacist Web site is working as a spokeswoman for a school that aims to lift underprivileged black and Hispanic children out of poverty.

An executive with an organization that tracks hate groups calls the employment of the woman, Chloe Black, an “untenable position” and “unbelievable.”

Black, the ex-wife of former KKK leader David Duke, is now married to Don Black, the creator of the white-power hate site Stormfront. Chloe Black is currently employed as an executive assistant at Florida Crystals, a sugar conglomerate whose owners, the Fanjul brothers, have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to help build a new campus for Glades Academy.

Glades is a charter school for the children of African-American and migrant workers in Pahokee, a rural town in Palm Beach County. Billionaire Jose “Pepe” Fanjul’s wife, Emilia, is chairman of the board of Glades Academy, and she hired Black to help promote the school.

Reports suggest that Black’s salary from the school may be going to support her husband’s activities on the hate site, as Don Black has had no clear source of income for some time.

Now this is odd, she’s a racist, she was married to David Duke, she is currently married to Donnie Douglass’s 3rd favorite site owner Stormfront, BUT; she is involved in helping MINORITIES? She is promoting the school? is she doing a good job? These are questions that need to be asked

I guess it is possible to be a racist, and help underprivileged minorities that really arent minorities anymore…..I am so confused. I need an appointment with Dr Phil.

There are a couple of ways to look at this.

1. She is helping the underprivileged and if she is doing a good job, what she does with her own time is irrelevant.

2. She is being paid by a non-profit, she is literally in bed with absolute racists and they make money for being racists and HER money goes into that part of the family business.

Basically all this is the normal shit we will hear from now until the “First Black President” is elected. Oh, and if he isn’t elected it will be because America is full of racists.

Funny how when it’s a BLACK Presidential candidate it doesn’t matter who he hangs around with, Reverend Wright, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farakhan or WHO he is married to,… But if you are are white YOU ARE RACIST! END OF STORY! If it wasn’t so true it would be hilarious.

Racism is now the issue, if you DON’T vote for Obama or subscribe to his racist ideology, YOU are a racist. Get prepared and ready your defenses because the Donnie Dickheads of the world will cry racist at every turn to get your mind off the issues.
The biggest 3 issues for me are still the ECONOMY, ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION and the WAR ON TERROR. I’m leaving the race issue for the true racist, the one that sees racism in everything, Donny Dickhead, have at it.

New immigration strategy — Deport yourself
Agency allows immigrants here illegally to avoid raids, prison by turning selves in

Rather than risk getting caught, turn yourselves in.

That’s the latest government strategy in its ongoing effort to dramatically reduce the nation’s ballooning population of illegal immigrants.

Scheduled to be unveiled next week, it was announced Sunday by Julie Myers, director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, in an interview with a Spanish-language television network.

Myers told the network that “Operation Scheduled Departure” will allow illegal immigrants without criminal records a chance to literally “self-deport” by turning themselves in to her agents.

She said the idea derived from a common complaint voiced by immigrant detainees: If given the opportunity, they’d rather just go home than be holed up in immigration prisons.

Under the new program, those still walking free will have the chance to walk into ICE offices, be processed and get a few weeks to arrange their affairs, pack their belongings and ship out of the country without being detained.

“The program basically gives an opportunity to those seeking an organized way to self-deport,” Myers told Univisión anchor Jorge Ramos.

If I was an Illegal Immigrant (Invader) I would “self-deport” in early summer, I’d get a free flight across the border, then I could come back after spending some of my hard earned (Drug,Gang crime) money in my Mexican Home, then maybe I’d bring a few of my friends across when I jump the border coming back. Oh yeah then plan to  “self Deport” again in the fall…Sounds like a prosperous vacation plan to me.

You know, if they build the fence it would at least make it tougher for the Invasion to continue. BUT with our LIBERAL’S and RINO’S in charge we will just keep paying the price and bitching about it while our country is being invaded.

I can’t understand the mentality of “lets sit by and talk about how we need to be tolerant of the invaders, we need to accommodate the invaders needs, and cater to the differences between our cultures”.

And when all that doesn’t work, and you become the victim of a crime, perpetrated by one of these “hard working People” that shouldn’t be here.. You look dead in the mirror and say to yourself “I am to blame”.

Strong quake rattles buildings, nerves in S. Calif

LOS ANGELES - The strongest earthquake to strike a populated area of Southern California in more than a decade rattled windows and chandeliers, made buildings sway and sent people running into the streets on Tuesday. But there were no immediate reports of serious injuries or major damage.

The 5.4-magnitude quake — considered moderate — was felt from Los Angeles to San Diego, and as far east as Las Vegas, 230 miles away. Nearly 30 aftershocks quickly followed, the largest estimated at 3.8.

The quake was centered 29 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles near Chino Hills, a San Bernardino County city of 80,000 built mostly in the early 1990s with the latest in earthquake-resistant technology.

For those of you that didn’t hear; My area was doing a little rockin and rollin.

I really hate earthquakes, it’s not so much the shaking, it’s the short period of time when things are shaking that you are out of control, all you can do is wait. You get no warning, and you don’t know how far away it hit. We were worried that somewhere got really hit hard and we were far away from the center, not the case at all this time. Chino Hills is not that far from us, and we felt it pretty good.

Bush OKs Execution for Army Private on Death Row

WASHINGTON —  President Bush on Monday approved the execution of an Army private, the first time in over a half-century that a president has affirmed a death sentence for a member of the U.S. military.

With his signature from the Oval Office, Bush said yes to the military’s request to execute Ronald A. Gray, the White House confirmed. Gray had had been convicted in connection with a spree of four murders and eight rapes in the Fayetteville, N.C., area over eight months in the late 1980s while stationed at Fort Bragg.

“While approving a sentence of death for a member of our armed services is a serious and difficult decision for a commander in chief, the president believes the facts of this case leave no doubt that the sentence is just and warranted,” White House press secretary Dana Perino said.

In the military courts, “Private Gray was convicted of committing brutal crimes, including two murders, an attempted murder and three rapes. The victims included a civilian and two members of the Army. … The president’s thoughts and prayers are with the victims of these heinous crimes and their families and all others affected.”

Unlike in the civilian courts, a member of the U.S. armed forces cannot be executed until the president approves the death sentence. Gray has been on death row at the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., since April 1988.

This has got the liberal twats all in an uproar, Bush is killing a soldier… He’s a murdering bastard.. yada yada. Read the fine print!

This particular SOLDIER was a civilian murdering son of a bitch and deserves to die in a horribly painful way. Bush hasn’t done much right since he stepped in office but this is the right move. Tainted Jalapeno Peppers Linked to Farm in Mexico

July 25 (Bloomberg) — Jalapeno peppers contaminated with a strain of salmonella linked to more than 1,200 illnesses were traced to Mexico, according to U.S. regulators, who warned not to eat raw jalapenos from that country.

The Food and Drug Administration, which on July 21 told consumers to avoid all raw jalapenos, now says it’s safe to eat those grown in the U.S., said David Acheson, the agency’s associate commissioner for foods, in a phone interview today.

The original jalapeno warning came after contaminated peppers were found at a distribution center in McAllen, Texas. Investigators determined the contamination didn’t originate in the Texas center and that the peppers came from a farm in Mexico, Acheson said today. Separately, jalapenos believed responsible for sickening consumers were traced to multiple locations in Mexico.

“Tracebacks that we’ve been doing have allowed us to make a very clear determination that they are all leading back to Mexico,” Acheson said.

Mexico denied that it was the source of the contaminated peppers, saying the claim by U.S. regulators lacked scientific evidence, according to an e-mailed statement late yesterday from the agriculture ministry.

Raw tomatoes were initially linked to the illnesses by the U.S. in June. The FDA issued warnings not to eat certain tomatoes unless they were from locations that had been cleared by regulators. The FDA lifted that warning on July 17, saying any tomatoes that may have been contaminated with salmonella were no longer being sold.

The issue is not where the “Salmonella” tainted shit came from” It’s the No one knew factor. We heard it was Tomatoes and “It could have came from anywhere” answers, THAT COST A LOT OF FARMERS A LOT OF MONEY! But then it was determined that it was Jalapeno’s… BUT no answer from where they came. Jalapenos are grown in the USA too and that cost OUR FARMERS MORE MONEY!

We had a small issue of “tainted” food and WE failed miserably. If I was a terrorist and wanted to kill a lot people I would look into the food import business. The FDA is being ran like every other Government agency, Lackluster at best.

Iraq-bound guards penalized for breaking apartment lease

MCKINNEY - A North Texas couple is getting ready for their second deployment overseas.

They’re leaving to serve their country but instead they’ve been served with fees from their landlord.

“It’s a job, we have to do it,” said Chris Horvath.

But they’re leaving with added stress, since they’ve been in a fight with their apartment complex - McKinney’s El Lago development.

The couple, both of whom are sergeants in the Texas National Guard, are soon headed to Iraq.

These are the names and addresses I have so far, there are some inquiries being made by a contact I have that IS in the apartment business. I do know this much, the TAA, Texas Apartment Association has a specific clause in their contract concerning military personnel and their transfers and activations, and that clause is in favor OF the troops.

I called El Lago Apartments and spoke to a person named Stephanie, and according to her the El Lago Apartments doesn’t operate under TAA leasing agreements. They would discuss the matter no further.
